Stepping out, I could take in both the city skyline and the canal views. It's the plum rain season, and seeing Jiaxing through the drizzle gave it a unique, classic Jiangnan charm. And to top it off, I absolutely loved the Huangbaobao Guizhou street hotpot downstairs at the hotel – completely exceeded my expectations! The quality of the beef and the authentic Guizhou ingredients had me going back for a second round! What, you think I'm getting off-topic?"

"The hotel has a great environment, and you can see a partial view from the balcony. It's very convenient to go downstairs for a stroll along the path by South Lake. The room is spacious and well-equipped. When we checked in, my elderly father had difficulty walking, and Xiao Ma, the greeter, directly brought a wheelchair to our room, which was incredibly helpful. We are very grateful for that. We tried the hotel's Chinese restaurant, Japanese restaurant, and buffet restaurant – the food was delicious, and the staff were warm and provided excellent service. My father stayed for two days for his birthday this time and was very satisfied with the trip."

"This is a brand new hotel with excellent facilities. Parking is convenient, and right across the street is Nanhu Tiandi, which has everything you need – dining, entertainment, and activities for kids. Since the hotel is so new, there's still a slight smell in the hallways, but they've placed air purifiers everywhere, and thankfully, the rooms themselves have no odor. The sofa bed that can be made up is a great design. The towels shed a bit of lint, which just goes to show how new everything is. Although the hotel breakfast doesn't have a huge selection, everything is exquisite. The noodles and wontons are delicious, and the shaomai are a must-try. The coffee from the machine is also very good. Our butler, Cindy, provided very detailed and thoughtful service."

"Decided last minute to go to Jiaxing for a musical and after a long search, I picked this Sheraton. Last year, I had so many issues at the Beijing Jinyu Sheraton, and sure enough, I ran into problems again this year. Thankfully, a lady at the front desk quickly resolved it. However, many other issues persisted: for instance, the breakfast food quality was poor, the attitude of the lady at the noodle station was just awful, and the croissants weren't even as good as those from a street bakery. On the first day, the jam never arrived, even after breakfast was over. The doorman just stood by the door, acting as a doorman, and didn't help with anything! Avoid Sheraton, a Marriott brand, at all costs!"

Even though we weren't full of evening snacks, the butler explained that the selection changed daily. Overall, we were very satisfied, and parking was convenient for those traveling by car."

From the bedding to the color scheme of the room, everything felt very comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised to get such a great room for just 138 yuan on the fifth day of the ***** New Year! The hallways are lined with thick carpets, and the rooms are carpeted too, providing excellent soundproofing. It has central air conditioning, free parking, and even a smart toilet. Fantastic value for money!"

"This hotel has been on my wishlist for a long time, and I finally got to experience it. First off, the hotel's location is fantastic, right by the famous South Lake. Unfortunately, a typhoon hit during my stay, so I couldn't visit the historic Red Boat. However, I was incredibly impressed by how the Nanhu Hotel staff handled issues with such a proactive and helpful attitude. They didn't pass the buck; instead, they went above and beyond to find solutions. This positive experience alone has significantly boosted my impression of both Nanhu and Jiaxing. While it's a minor regret that my child couldn't go on the boat this time, it just gives us a good reason to come back again."

"We brought our child to Jiaxing for the weekend and stayed at the newly opened Hyatt Place hotel by South Lake. The public areas I photographed had a vibrant orange ambiance that chased away the gloom of the rainy season. The breakfast buffet was excellent, featuring freshly made Jiaxing-style mini wontons and authentic siu mai, comparable to those from Xiexi Street. A restaurant staff member mentioned they hired a local auntie to make them on-site. The hotel's location is super convenient; we took the intercity tram directly from the high-speed rail station for just 2 yuan, which dropped us right at the entrance. It's also only a 200-meter walk to Nanhu Xintiandi. Our child was fascinated by the tram and even insisted on taking it again in the evening, despite the rain, to Zhongshan Road to visit the famous Catholic church and Zicheng ruins. The room layout is well-thought-out; the king room with a sofa (which converts into a 1.2-meter bed with a sheet) is perfect for a family of three, especially for families with older children who need separate beds. Finally, I'd like to commend the attentive and detailed service from both the front desk and restaurant staff. The only downside is that the guest room toothbrushes would be better if they were soft-bristled, and cloth slippers would significantly improve the overall experience!"
