"Facilities: When I booked, I was drawn to the bathroom window's promise of a great view. However, upon arrival, I was utterly disappointed. The window opened directly onto a building less than 10 meters away. I then realized that the more expensive room types were on lower floors, and below the tenth floor, the view from the window was almost completely obstructed. The scenery shown in the promotional images was a total deception. Cleanliness: Overall, the hygiene was quite good. Environment: It's located at the end of Chinatown, and the tram stop is right downstairs, which is very convenient. Service: Pretty good. Finally, a heads-up to friends driving: absolutely do NOT fall for the parking garage entrance ads that claim parking after a certain time costs only around twenty-something dollars! It's a complete scam. We parked after 5 PM, and the next day, it showed a charge of $170! When we went to check, the outdoor ad had changed too. That's when I discovered that all the reviews for this parking garage on Google Maps were from people who had been scammed. It's truly disgusting. We contacted the hotel, and they managed to get it reduced to $60."

"The room was quite spacious, but the facilities were very old. It was relatively clean, but there was only one trash can, and that was in the bathroom. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were all in one bottle, not separated at all. Seriously, do they expect us to use the same product for everything? Even for laundry? It feels like they haven't kept up with the times. People's expectations for life are higher now, and so are their basic requirements for hotels. Don't try to fool us. There wasn't even any creamer for coffee in the fridge, which is quite stingy for the price. The staff knocking on the door at 10 AM had a really bad attitude, repeatedly emphasizing the exact check-out time. That was quite impolite."

"The front desk staff were incredibly kind; they upgraded my room for free and let me check in much earlier than expected. The room itself was very clean and bright. The hotel's location is super convenient, especially for first-time visitors to Melbourne."

"Absolute lack of room amenities gave me a chuckle, its 2026, why are cheap instant coffee sticks anywhere near these rooms when hotels hostels and bnbs everywhere else in the world have some approximation of a pod style machine in single rooms let alone king rooms. Room was dusty, with detritus on the carpet on arrival, there was a somewhat obvious hole in my sheets near the head of the bed, any attendant who made the bed couldn't have missed it so i can only assume no one really cares about working here enough to silently take care of something like that. Walls are so remarkably thin that I could hear an 'electric toothbrush' running in the next room, when I wasnt being shocked out of sleep by the sound of the toilet lid slamming down in the other next door room. miscellaneous pillow stain was an interesting one too. Even after leaving it topside, it wasn't changed for 2 days. Shower cant decide if it was to be scalding hot or arctic, but at least the pressure was pretty excellent. only things supplied in the bathroom was a single hairdryer, a water glass and a sanitary hygiene disposal bag. I'd love to know which accountant justified cutting Q-tips out of the room budget. The little downstairs cafe downstairs feels like it belongs in the backrooms attached to some forgotten convention centre, if sacrificing two bottles of water and a coffee maker in the rooms is what it took for this paltry excuse of a cafe to live, then I feel very sad for the future of Melbourne hotels. But again, i DID sleep very soundly for the majority of my stay. And a special shoutout to the gentlemen at the front desk, genuinely quite helpful and has a pretty great customer service attitude."

"Warm welcome by receptionist. Awesome service. Quality and service at par excellence. Very much near to train stations. The Best Western was perfectly fine for my one-night business trip to Melbourne—clean enough and very well-located. My only real complaint is that basic amenities were missing; there was no toothpaste or bottled water in the room. It didn't ruin my stay, but adding these simple comforts would go a long way for short-stay guests."
