Hotels near Mapo Station, Seoul

It's rare for me to write a review, which just goes to show how satisfied I am with this hotel. It's not that the facilities are amazing or the service is extraordinary, as this hotel isn't positioned as a resort-style property. First and foremost, I have to rave about the mattress! I looked it up, it's a Japanese brand called France Bed, which started out making medical mattresses. It was incredibly comfortable. Secondly, the location is fantastic! Airport buses 6701/6702 go directly to and from the airport, and bus 6015 is also an option. The hotel is situated between Mapo Station and Gongdeok Station, so you can also take the Airport Express to Gongdeok Station, though it's a bit more walking than taking the bus. The hotel offers free coffee on the 3rd floor. The coffee beans are good, but the milk isn't great – probably UHT milk. I'd suggest buying fresh milk from a nearby convenience store to mix with it for a better taste. There are laundry facilities, microwaves, and ice machines on the 10th and 20th floors, which is perfect for younger travelers. Facilities: It's a Japanese-style eco-friendly hotel, so no toothbrushes or toothpaste are provided, but slippers are available. It's clean and refreshing. For breakfast, there are six options, all of which are excellent Korean dishes. I highly recommend trying the local way of eating.

The room was okay, just a bit too small for the three of us. I didn't get a good night's sleep any day, and my daughter threw up all four nights. It's a shame there was no bathtub. The breakfast was really good; we had it all four mornings. The gym on the top floor was great, but I was too busy each day to use it. The room was cleaned daily, but it wasn't spotless. That said, I wouldn't say there were any major problems – it was still pretty good overall. The subway station was a bit of a walk, but acceptable. Since I was with my dad and daughter, pushing a stroller made it a bit more inconvenient. I was very satisfied with the breakfast. The worst part was how cold Korea was; I came back with a cold.

Cons: 1. Staying on the fourth floor, right outside the elevator is the swimming pool. The chlorine and disinfectant smell from the pool was really unpleasant and strong. I think other floors should be fine though. 2. My room, 416, was a corner unit, so when I opened the curtains, I could see the road. The glass insulation wasn't great, and I could clearly hear the car noise from outside! The room layout was irregular, and the bed faced a mirror at an angle. 3. There are no outlets by the bedside table!!! There are outlets on the desk though, no need for an adapter 😂 Pros: 🥰 Super convenient for going to the airport! The airport line to Gongdeok Station only takes an hour. 😍 The hotel is right above the subway, making travel incredibly convenient. You can reach various shopping areas, Gyeongbokgung Palace, and more within 25 minutes. The hotel's B1 level connects directly to the subway, so you don't even need to go outside. 😝 There's a Lotte Supermarket on the hotel's B1 level, and a large E-Mart (like a Korean Sam's Club, a huge supermarket where locals shop, with all sorts of food, daily necessities, and fruits – and you can get tax refunds!) is about 300 meters away. Sushi and fried chicken often go on sale after about 9 PM, usually around 30% off. 🤩 There are tons of great places to eat near the hotel. I highly recommend the Seolleongtang (ox bone soup)! I ate it for three mornings straight! The radishes at the restaurant were incredibly delicious! 😊 There are four Olive Young stores near the hotel! Perfect for restocking! You can just buy everything and bring it straight back to the hotel, freeing up your hands. 🤗 The room cleaning was excellent. The hotel provides shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion, and hand soap. The toiletries smell amazing!!! And the quality is good too. I really want to buy the same products to take home. The bathroom is spacious with a bathtub and a bidet toilet! 😇 The front desk service was also very good, although there was no Chinese service. For me, with decent English, communication wasn't a big problem. You need to swipe a Visa card when checking in. All in all, I'll likely stay here again next time, but I'll definitely choose a room not on the fourth floor and not facing the road!

The location is fantastic, very convenient and quick to get to most places, except for Holy Water which is a bit further. It's especially great for museum enthusiasts! The staff were all very pleasant! There were just two things I wasn't entirely happy with. Firstly, the bathtub had hair in it that was difficult for guests to clean thoroughly, and typically hotel cleaning staff would take care of that, but it wasn't done. Secondly, the bedding didn't feel very clean; it was a bit itchy when I lay on it. However, the location is so incredibly convenient that I had to accept these minor issues! I'd probably still stay here again? Also, a heads-up: they charge daily for extra blankets, which I didn't know before arriving.

The hotel is about a 50-minute drive from Incheon Airport. The nearest subway station is Mapo Station, roughly 200-300 meters away, and Gongdeok Station is also within walking distance. Right outside the main entrance, there's a bus stop, which is convenient. However, there aren't many shopping areas nearby. The closest ones are Yeouido Department Store and Times Square Yeongdeungpo, but neither is particularly great for shopping. If I were to visit again, I'd probably choose to stay in Myeongdong or somewhere closer to Gangnam. Gangnam is excellent for shopping, but traffic is bad and accommodation is expensive, so Myeongdong would also be a good option as it's close to duty-free shops. This hotel isn't very close to shopping areas, and it's quite a hassle to travel back and forth. My advice would be to stay in the area where you plan to do most of your shopping. Regarding the hotel facilities themselves, although it looked a bit old at first glance, it was actually very functional during my stay. For instance, the room was a good size, had plenty of mirrors, and was very quiet with no AC noise. There were lots of charging ports and outlets, the smart toilet worked great, and there was a bathtub with excellent water pressure. The bed was comfortable. So, for 600 won a night, I was quite satisfied with the price.

I was able to check in early at 9:30 PM and even got a free room upgrade! The room was super clean. There's a coffee machine on the first floor and a water dispenser with an ice maker, which saved me money on coffee in the mornings. The location is incredibly convenient, just a few minutes' walk from Sinchon Exit 4. There are many popular trendy spots around Sinchon that often have queues, and there's also a Shinsegae Department Store and E-mart supermarket nearby.

The room was cozy, perfect for one person and still comfortable for two. It was extremely clean, with a large TV and a mirror that wasn't facing the bed, which I really appreciated. There were no noisy appliances either (many hotels have mini-fridges that hum, but this one was silent and very peaceful). It had a double-door entry system – you take off your shoes at the first door and put on slippers after the second. The soundproofing wasn't great, but it still felt very welcoming. Photos don't do it justice; it's much better in person, I highly recommend it! Downstairs, there's a microwave and two seats, so you can eat and charge your devices. Even though check-in is officially at 10 PM, they allowed me to check in a bit earlier since there was availability. I accidentally left some clothes behind when I left, and the staff kindly kept them safe for me. I then arranged for SF Express to pick them up and send them back home.

The location is very convenient, close to many places. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The room was very clean and comfortable, and it even had floor heating, which made it extra cozy. Overall, a great experience!

The room is good and suitable for business trips. The location is convenient, just a five-minute walk to Yongsan subway and train station. For dining options, you might need to walk a bit further to the area around Yongsan Electronics Market, where there are some small shops. Other than that, I didn't find any inconveniences. Overall, it's a good choice for business travelers.

The hotel is conveniently located within a 10-minute walk from Mapo subway station, and there's a bus stop right outside. The room wasn't as spacious as it appeared in the pictures, but the river view was expansive, and the overall comfort was good. The hotel staff all spoke excellent English with no noticeable Korean accent, making communication seamless. Their service was also outstanding.
