Great ski-in /ski-out hotel. The ski room is very small, but there is seating outside the room in order to put your boots on or off. Food was fabulous for the entire week. It was a preset menu with 3 to 4 courses. I have a gluten allergy, and the servers and chef did their best to accommodate me. Step out the back door, put on your skis and ski to one of several lifts. There are restaurants and bars as well as shopping out the back door within walking distance. This is a nice place to spend a week. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely return put this on your list of places to go.

Hotel Manager extremely rude , my worst experience after 30 years in hospitality. When I requested to meet her she came out and said she had TWO minutes for me and the she would only be available four hours later ( her words after 5pm ) Really destroyed our group of fours stay will never be back . A very disturbing experience from a manager who told me she had been in the hotel industry for 15 years . The WIFI in the room was extremely poor and we were told that there were lot of guests using the WIFI . We had met many guest who complained about the WIFI but receptionist said it was only us . There are many hotels with warm , welcoming reception where we have stayed before in the Valley . Wishing you the best of luck ,

Very good! The staff were all very helpful and obliging, particularly the breakfast staff (why are the staff charming in some hotels, and not in others? It's a mystery). Very good breakfast. The room was warm, comfortable and very clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable (bad pillows can ruin everything!). There are two restaurants, the Savoyard, which serves the usual savoyard stuff, tartiflette, fondue, raclette etc, and the more formal Table du Ruitor. We only dined in once in the hotel, at the Savoyard – it was very good. We went out for dinner other nights. As usual with hotels in the snow, they direct you to a ski hire place where you can get a discount. You can be confident in this case – they sent us to Netski right next door, which was really excellent. I have my own boots but I have lots of experience with good and bad ski rental places, and Netski next door was terrific – helpful and knowledgeable staff, and quality skis. Position of the hotel is excellent - very close to the Combes 1, Pas du Lac and Plattieres chair/gondolas. The only raised eyebrow was the afternoon tea, served every day in the lounge. It's free – delicious home-made tarts etc – but then 30 euros for three cups of tea made with teabags and UHT milk! Over the top, frankly. Other than that, a very enjoyable stay.

This hotel is amazingly located and the staff are fabulous. We have stayed here 4 times now. Breakfast is excellent. A few more children options for dinner would be our only added suggestion. We will be back!

We had an incredible experience during our third stay at Hotel Alpen Ruitor! Once again, it exceeded our expectations and left us extremely satisfied. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure that we had a memorable stay. From the moment we stepped into the beautifully decorated lobby, we knew we were in for a treat. The hotel's attention to detail and commi**ent to providing a comfortable a**osphere was evident in every aspect of our visit. Our room was spacious, clean, and tastefully furnished, providing the perfect retreat after a long day of exploring the breathtaking surroundings. The hotel's amenities were top-notch as well. The spa facilities were a true oasis, offering relaxation and rejuvenation with a variety of services. We particularly enjoyed unwinding in the sauna and indulging in a soothing massage. The restaurant, with its delectable menu and attentive waitstaff, never failed to impress us. Breakfast was a highlight, with a wide selection of fresh and delicious options to start our day off right. The location of Hotel Alpen Ruitor is also worth noting. Set amidst the stunning natural beauty of the surrounding mountains, it provided us with a picturesque backdrop for our holiday. The ski slopes were just a stone's throw away, making it incredibly convenient for us to hit the slopes bright and early. Overall, we can't speak highly enough of our experience at Hotel Alpen Ruitor. It's no wonder why we keep coming back! We highly recommend this exceptional hotel to anyone seeking a memorable retreat in a stunning location. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

If you are looking for a charming boutique hotel in the Three Valleys, you will not do better than Hotel Allen Ruitor. It is perfectly located with a choice of multiple lifts out the front door that make it easy to access Méribel, Val Thoren and Courchevel. The staff is friendly and highly responsive and the food is excellent.

Good location - convenient for skiing around Mottaret and also for Méribel if you are strong enough skiers to get there (easy) and back (more challenging). The hotel is family friendly, with lovely staff and a nice a**osphere, BUT we felt disappointed with some aspects of our stay. Negative points were: - our room smelt strongly and unpleasantly of citronella from the moment we arrived. The staff must have been aware of this prior to our arrival. We had to remove a piece of furniture which was particularly potent. We complained and the hotel blamed previous occupants and did nothing to rectify it. We had to open the windows each time we returned to our room to clear the smell. This was really disappointing. - we paid well over 500 euros (food only, not including drinks) for New Year’s Eve dinner for a family of four (2 adults and 2 children), which we felt was overpriced. The restaurant had no record of me being coeliac (which we had let them know several times well in advance) and presented me with a pastry tart which they assured me was gluten free but when I double checked it turned out not to be. - the ski locker and changing area was very small and crowded - a small point, but I would expect a coffee maker in the room for the price.
