Corpo Santo Lisbon Historical Hotel

Baixa Lisbon|0.33km from A Vida Portuguesa
Hotel condition is ok once. Although it is an old hotel, it was tidy and clean. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom is clean. The shower room has music therapy, but it was amazing. Amenity is Morton Brown, and the coffee machine is Nespresso. Coffee is of course free. There was no electric port. Very friendly staff. I arrived at the pharmacy the day I arrived, so there was no pharmacy open. However, the desk staff worried and looked up and remembered me a few days later and asked my best regards. I also asked you to recommend a restaurant, but I have a really good house. Water and drinks are always available in the lobby, and in the afternoon you can have a delicious snack in the lobby. Please clean up your sleeping room in the morning and clean up your room so you can sleep in the afternoon. The room is always tidy, so every time I enter, I feel good. I saw you tidying up the bathroom by accident. It was an old hotel that smelled like a sewer, but I couldn't complain because it was so carefully managed that I couldn't blame it. The smell is fine if you close the bathroom door well. Besides, I didn't like frustration, so I kept the windows open so I thought it was better. Oh, when you organized it in the afternoon, you might have snacks like candy or tarts. I wandered around and ate really good. Breakfast was just the right kind (vegetables, cheese, ham and sausage, eggs, fruits, bread, milk, juice, coffee, etc.). The manager was very friendly at breakfast. Oh, we had wine and steak with room service. The location is perfect .. Buses, trams and subway stops are right in front of you and you can walk to the sea just a few steps away. There are many good restaurants nearby. The Trem takes you directly to the main tourist attractions ... Ah, the flats near the hotel make it easy to walk around. I am more than happy to see you later. I recommend it.

Fabulous! One word that can describe our stay at the Ivens. It scored full marks on hospitality , hotlel decor & room quality . We reached early morning around 9 am after a long 9 hours flight . Being a Bonvoy Ambassador member they had already upgraded us to the suite , but the suite would be ready only by 3pm the official check in time . The check in staff was so helpful they promptly gave us another room till our suite was ready . This is indeed was a boon as we could rest after such a long journey and adjust to the time zone. The 3 night stay was just wonderful , no request was small and the team ensured that we had a memorable holiday. The hotel has the beautiful Rocco restaurant as part of its establishment and breakfast was served in this beautiful setting. The rooms are modern and well equipped. I wanted an adapter plug that was promptly provided. The amenities were just world class. The location is perfect away from the noise and just a few minutes walk to the city centreThis is easily one of the best hotels I have stayed in Europe . You will not find a better place in Lisbon for sure.

The apartment is located in the downtown area, Hermès shops, Brazilian cafes, subway station, 28 tram are all downstairs, and there are many places to go shopping. The apartment is well managed and it is very safe although it is in the downtown area. We stayed in a duplex apartment for 4 large and 1 small. On the top floor, you can see the beautiful street view outside through the outdoor balcony, which is very comfortable. The rooms are also clean and warm. The only shortcoming is that I don’t know why the smoke alarm in our apartment will sound 2-3 times a day, sometimes in the evening, sometimes in the middle of the night, sometimes in the early morning, even if you don’t have any activities, it will still ”scream.” ”It surprised you, and communicated with the administrator, but it didn't fix it.

Spotless clean. Super nice staff. Super quiet and beautiful view from the executive rooms (with terrace), it is really worth, table and chairs for afternoon coffee included, super helpful staff, thank you to Alberto & Levi at reception, they were just the best. Breakfast a variety with seeded rolls, plain rolls, croissants, fresh cakes, goat cheese, omelette, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, baked beans, my Tipp: order the “American coffee” ☕️, it is equivalent to the European coffee, the bed was super confident, in the executive room you get 2 pillows each and the bed is 2x King Size. TV huge plus international channels, walk in shower (I’m disabled and it helped!). Would give 10 stars for the hotel. Attention please: if you are having trouble walking, the hotel is on a slightly hill. But I’m disabled and thought it is good excercise.

Before I begin, I would like to note that I rarely provide negative or even ”average” reviews. In this case, I am providing an average review of 3 stars because there are certainly some good things about Dream Chiado-- although I was wavering between providing a 2 star and a 3 star review. I decided on 3 stars because I think the ”good things” are really worth mentioning. So, I will begin with the good stuff. Dream Chiado is in an amazing location. It is close to everything, and we explored all over Lisbon. Having explored so many other areas, I believe this location is one of the best in the city. Further, the price of Dream Chiado is very reasonable. If. you are on a budget, the price can't be beat. Finally, it is really nice to have a little kitchen and place to sit for breakfasts or happy hours. We didn't do any ”cooking” but it was great to have a coffee and pick up some wine, cheese, and crackers and breakfast foods at the Pingo Dos down in the Rossio area. The room was a nice size and much bigger than we anticipated for a European city. Now, on to the less-than-ideal parts of Dream Chiado. The most important and serious issue that we found was that the front door to the building was broken and could not be locked in the evenings. This felt like this was an important security issue to us (two women traveling alone), and we felt that anyone could enter the building and hang out in the halls with no problems. When we asked about the door, we were told that they were trying to get it fixed.. but we were there for 7 nights and it was not fixed in that time period. We didn't notice this issue the first night, so I would guess it was broken for at least 6 of the 7 nights we stayed. Next, the rooms are in need of some very basic care. Our room had water stains on the walls, the wallpaper was coming off the room, and the lamp was coming off the wall and the cord was completely frayed. Truly, it was surprising to see a place with such little attention to basic things like wallpaper coming off the walls. It looked terrible and made us feel that the room was dumpy without anyone caring for something so basic (I suggest the staff fix the water damage, remove the wall paper and just paint the room and fix the appliances.. it would be easy and do a lot of good for the room). Finally, we found the staff to be not especially friendly or helpful. We found the people of Portugal to be so lovely in the rest of the places we stayed.. we just had the feeling that the staff really didn't like us, no matter how nice we tried to be. It was just uncomfortable. Also if you need staff, note that they are not there all the time (this is fine, but you may not hear from them quickly even when you use Whatsapp to contact them after hours).Again, this isn't a big problem for us, but just something to note. I am attaching pictures of the room that shows the water damage and lamp coming off the wall.
