Riad l'Oiseau du Paradis

We have just returned from a 4 night stay here and it was amazing. It certainly lives upto the Paradis in the title. As soon as you walk through the door you are relaxed, Some achievement considering this is just a few minutes from the main square and hustle and bustle! Special Thankyou to all of the staff who are incredibly friendly and helpful and can't do enough for you. Jji Breakfast is excellent fresh fruit, omelette (which is more of a smashed fried egg) pastries, bread, jam, honey yoghurt, tea coffee and fresh orange juice. The rooms are excellent, comfortable bed, nice shower, air con plenty of plug sockets. The pool is a plunge pool and spotlessly clean and the lobby area is an oasis of calm with plenty of space to relax. Would definitely reccomend

This was a pleasant riad. The room was a bit small but there are many public seating/relaxing areas. There is a nice roof top lounge. This is a great location relatively close to the main square on a quiet alley. The bed is comfortable and the shower is very good. Breakfast is very good. They do offer dinner with prior notice but we mainly ate lunch and dinner out. If the streets are too hectic for you, dinner in is a good option. Be warned that families are accepted here. Any noise we experienced was not from the street but from children.

Fantastic Riad interior an rooftop ! Staff extremly nice and helpful, a great place to stay in Marrakech ! We have been welcomed with diner even late at night, the central place of the riad is almost like magic. By the situation, you could not get such a marvel. This is central enough in the old medina.

Quite possibly one of the most beautiful places that we’ve ever stayed (and we’ve travelled the world)! The staff were polite & attentive, they could not do enough for you & really provided 5* service from the moment we arrived. A real hidden gem!

DO NOT BUY ANY SPA SERVICES! Although staff members do not really speak English, they are doing their best to meet your needs. The building is a very authentic riad with a cute pool inside and a roof top. But: 1) it's was the worst hammam experience ever. You can't go to hamam on your own. So you must book a package. (We understood why later, when we book a package for two). Here is briefly what it looks like: - you are entering a tiny room on the roof, where only two person can fit - the service is provided by a lady, who barely speaks any other language but Arabic and she obviously untrained - everyone is being soaped by the same piece of soap - then one person lays down on a shelf that is small even for the average person (I am 175 and we can all agree that this is not considered as tall). The second is seated on an incredibly low stool. Further, the seated person observes this lady's backside for 20 minutes. Then you two are switching places. - afterwards everyone gets a clay mask all over the body and it also was ment for a face. Considering the fact, that there is the same bowl for everyone, we obviously declined it. - then you get a massage. For this you have to go downstairs. The massage room as well as oil is cold. The massage is provided by the same lady and her colleague (thank god, that at least now there two of them) 2) rooms are cold and barely isolated from each other. Plus the "door" to the toilet doesn't give you any privacy 3)for a breakfast you want get any fruits or vegetables. The only warm food are an omelette and a very bad coffee.

I'll start with our only quibbles... The rooms are not very big, especially the standard twin we booked for our teens, who had very little space to move around or even unpack clothes etc The food portions are huge - we could have easily been happy with 25% less... the food we left felt like a waste. It was all delicious, but don't expect to eat three courses! On the other hand, the calm and chill-factor as we entered the Riad, the courtyard and its scented plants, is just wonderful. The plunge pool was almost essential in 40+ degrees heat, although the sun terrace and its cold shower are also fantastic. The rooms (while not huge) are gorgeous and air-conditioned, and the provided toiletries are lovely! Breakfast is great, especially the home-made yogurt. My wife and daughters booked spa treatments and said all of them were fabulous, and pretty reasonably priced compared to the UK. The staff are really friendly and helpful, booked us an early taxi to the airport.

The most amazing riad!! We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of our trip to Morocco and it was such a relaxing experience. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the food is delicious (possibly the best we tasted in our whole trip) and the hotel is beautiful. The photos on tripadvisor are really old - it's been renovated since! Will be recommending to any of our friends visiting Morocco.

First of all pictures of the hotel on tripadvisor are very old. Hotel was renovated. Now is very beautiful and stylish design. Adorable lobby with warm swimming pool. Nice 2 level terrace. Staff are very friendly always want to help. Great breakfast, definitely best in Medina. Very nice restaurant and great drinks!

We visited two days after the borders were reopened for a 3 day break. Really nice boutique hotel with very nice and friendly staff. The only reason why not 5/5 is because the rooms are pretty basic but still of a good standard. But this is expected and normal for a Riad. The rooms were spotlessly clean as was the whole hotel. The terrace is beautiful and a real suntrap. The courtyard is also lovely with a small pool (definitely not big enough to swim in though). We dined one night and it was lovely food as was the breakfast. So the staff, the food and the overall hotel are excellent. Location is very central and within 15 min walk of the centre. The area is a bit poor in places but we never felt unsafe and it adds to seeing the true character of the city. So we would definitely recommend this hotel and very good value also at €175 for 3 nights for the two of us.
