I was very disappointed in the camp designations as there was a conflict between other campers who were camping there. The campsite attendant said you may set up camp anywhere by the designated camp numbers. While we did this later in the afternoon, another couple came in from a drive and started to swear, shout, and accuse us of being in front of their view. Not knowing, of course, that there was anyone directly behind us when we set up camp. I did try to reason with this fellow camper, but the vulgar language and accusations was completely uncalled for! I then went and spoke to the manager about this issue and was quite taken aback by the response I got back. Obviously, these follow campers got preference over myself and my group. So, nonetheless, I just let it be. It was a very unpleasant stay after this experience. I do hope that in the future, campers get designated spots, and there are no conflicts like this going forward. Thanks

Our chalet was nice and roomy and the farmhouse itself was lovely. The staff and owners were all very friendly - and a special thankyou to Barney who 'helped' us change a tyre (when I say he 'helped', he basically did it for us in his workshop, which was very kind!). We had dinners and breakfasts in the farmhouse both nights and they were all excellent - esp the roast pork with all the trimmings! Nice group of other guests, some of whom we chatted with extensively, made for fun evenings. We loved the guided walk to the cave paintings and also the self-guided hike up to the viewpoint where there is a geocache! The scenery in the Matobo Hills NP was spectacular, though we did not spot any rhinos...

We camped at Worlds View Campsite which is part of the Farmhouse Complex. The campsite is awesome with about 8 front line camps with fantastic views across the Matobo Hills. And another 10 or so sites set back a bit. You can see the Shangani Memorial / Rhodes Grave to the East. The ablutions were super and there was hot water all the time for our Mountain Club Group of 22. There is a large gazebo with teak furniture and a crows nest upstairs. Many camp sites have their own tables and chairs provided. Andre and Kerry and reception staff were super and we enjoyed hikes in the Estate. If you are going there you might consider buying National Parks tickets at the Main Gate for the next few days so that you can enter at nearby gates.

We really liked this place. The sunset views on the rocks behind are out of this world. It's a great place for kids to see animals up close as there is a game drive and viewing areas on site. The food was delicious and plentiful. The pool was quite nice, if a little cold. The rooms are quite basic and in need of some renovation. They are starting to look a bit tired.

Feeling the need to connect with nature, we took a drive out to the Farmhouse having previously made a booking to spend the night at the platform. After being warmly greeted in the traditional Bulawayo manner by Kerry and Andre (the soon to be new management couple), we headed out for our adventure. We climbed the whalebacks, surveyed the view in victory and played the ‘if’ game. Once our thirst for adventure was quenched, we headed off to the platform. When we arrived, there was a young man singing to his heart content whilst sweeping the platform. He emptied the dustbin, chopped wood for us, setting all in place so that we just had to strike a match to get the braai going when we were ready. He also ensured that the ablution block was working, and when all was done, he lifted his hat and said good bye. The main road is not too far off from where we were, so the night sounds were interrupted from time to time with the sound of traffic. When the traffic sounds did stop, it was just us, the Giraffes, wildebeests, Zebras , Nightjars, Crickets and the stars! Best of all, no annoying Mosquitoes! It was more than just a pleasant stay – it was us connecting with nature. With the Farmhouse being less then 60kms (?) from Bulawayo, it has become our necessary, affordable get-away! Thank you so Much! Shaynie

This is a gem.Lovely couple looking after the place. The organisation is low key but very efficient. We had a great stay. You have to go and see the rock paintings and also visit the rhinos. Both excursions worth it. Our room was really good. Luggage taken to the rooms and picked up. We had a toad in the room that went out the shower drain. Great pool. Food was good. service great. Pleasant people. All very helpful. Pleased with our room. Our room was spacious. Clean. Enjoyed staying here.

Very welcoming staff. A lovely setting in the Matopos. We were lucky and timed it well, benefitting from the rains so the bush was vibrant. Saw many different birds including black eagles and a good number of game. Accommodation is good, has all you need and whilst it is not high end luxury, the bed was comfortable and he showers great. A good crossover of affordability and comfort. Thank you to Kerry and Andre for an enjoyable stay.

We camped here for 3 nights just to get a good rest from our travels. The campsite has a stunning view, just remember it gets really windy and cold in winter. The site numbers are slightly confusing, but with the help of other campers there we got sorted and just chose a spot. Very good walks and hikes with nice views. Ablutions are good with plenty of water although we had to to start the donkey ourselves every day, and the ablutions really need to be cleaned once a day and the leaky taps and pipes need repairing. Not sure management has its fingers on the pulse. The last night put a bit of a damper on our feelings about this nice place, as a large group with a big truck arrived. They were very noisy till late and again from early morning. Also, the camp manager went to another couple that had been there for at least a week and asked them to move, : "as this was were the large trucks always parked" That was really not good and shows that they appreciate the larger groups more than the individual camper. So before you book or put up camp, ask about any large groups arriving. But still, I would stay there again as it was a good option to go and see the Matobos reserve.
