"Quiet and very nicely designed right in the middle of a bustling street!! Perfect to stay to explore Dali old town by foot. We came on spring festival weekend and Dali was quite busy but this hotel was perfectly located and very quiet and calm. The staff is great too. Super helpful and gave us great recommendations for drinks and activities around. The breakfast was also delicious with great coffee, local pastries and porridge. The room was spacious, very clean and totally quiet even if the street is noisy. Totally recommend!! Great price quality ratio."

BBingbingle、The room was very spacious and well-equipped. The decor and design were fantastic. The renovation of the historic building is quite unique, and the courtyard is breathtaking. The housekeeping service was excellent, and any requests were promptly addressed. The breakfast was also delicious, featuring some unique dishes. The environment was beautiful, and the rooftop terrace offered stunning views of the Cangshan sunrise and sunset, overlooking the ancient city – truly delightful. The room was bathed in warm sunlight, and enjoying tea while gazing at the ancient city from the bay window was a real treat. The owners were incredibly kind, warm, and genuine, always ready to help with any request. They gave us practical tips and food recommendations that didn't disappoint. There's also a very friendly dog named Wangcai and two adorable cats. When we left, they even helped us with our checked luggage, showing genuine care for their guests. I'll definitely recommend this place to friends and will choose it again if I ever return. I'm currently in a Lijiang B&B, unable to sleep, and the contrast makes me miss that place even more – it had a special kind of warmth.

It's also only a few kilometers from the airport, which is super convenient. Couples will find it very relaxing here, as all rooms have king-size beds. The guesthouse host was lovely and enthusiastic, recommending off-the-beaten-path routes and nearby eateries. Overall, it was a great experience!

GGuest UserExtremely satisfied with this B&B, especially the housekeeper – five-star rating! I had a great time chatting with her; she took care of everything perfectly. And the B&B's doggy ”staff member,” Little Burger, is super cute and cuddly! The decor feels very much like home. When you pull back the curtains on the panoramic French windows, you see the wetland park outside, which is a popular spot for photos – there were even people taking wedding pictures at the entrance. On New Year's Eve, we just drew back the curtains and watched the fireworks show directly from our room! The rooftop offers an absolutely stunning view of the sunset! And the cutest little dog in all of Dali, Burger! I truly love him; even three nights here wasn't enough. Overall, the stay was flawless. Renting a car made getting around very convenient. I'll definitely be back!

Location – unbeatable and worry-free The location is extremely convenient, right in the heart of Dali Ancient Town. As soon as you step outside, you’re surrounded by beautiful ancient streets and alleys, full of local character. 2-3 mins walk away from the Bars. Attractions, cafes, shops, and amazing food are all within walking distance, which made exploring incredibly easy and stress-free. From check-in to check-out, the entire stay felt completely worry-free. Service – warm, genuine, and unforgettable The biggest highlight of this guesthouse is without a doubt the host. The lady boss is unbelievably friendly, considerate, and welcoming. She is super nice, enthusiastic, and very meticulous in everything she does. From contacting me in advance, patiently explaining routes, to sharing travel tips and local suggestions, she made me feel taken care of even before I arrived. Staying here truly felt like coming home rather than staying at a guesthouse. What made this stay truly special was the personal connection. She even invited me to join a barbecue with her and her friends. We had drinks, chatted late into the night, and shared stories about our cultures, life views, and experiences. Even though I only stayed for two nights, that evening made my time in Dali unforgettable. I felt incredibly lucky to have arrived back just in time for the barbecue. The Bai Jiu, the Yi Zu-style barbecue pork, and the homemade dumplings she made were all fantastic. The atmosphere was relaxed, warm, and full of laughter. Even small details were fun, like the pot cover shaped like the Rolls-Royce Spirit of Ecstasy, which gave us a good laugh. It was one of those nights you don’t plan for, but it’s the highlight of the trip that you will remember for a long time. 😎 Room & Sleep Quality – quiet, comfortable, and well designed The room itself was quiet and very comfortable, with good sound insulation and a thoughtful renovation design that blends modern comfort with traditional charm. The bedding was clean and high quality, and the bathroom was spotless and well equipped. I slept extremely well every night. The entire guesthouse is beautifully designed, cozy, and relaxing, making it easy to unwind after a day of exploring. Value – exquisite and worth every penny This is a highly cost-effective and exquisite accommodation. You can see the attention to detail everywhere, from the design to the service. It perfectly balances the charm of the ancient town with modern convenience. It’s absolutely worth experiencing, and I would not hesitate to stay here again on my next trip. Final thoughts I returned home a few days ago, but when I think back on my trip to Yunnan, Dali still stands out as the most chill and relaxing place and Meishan Guesthouse is a big reason why. The friendly host, the warm atmosphere, and the meaningful conversations made this stay truly special. If I could give 11 stars, I would. Hands down one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. Highly, highly recommended. Will definitely be back!!!

YYouyoudiliuliuAn Yu is truly a gem of a hotel. With so many accommodation options in Dali Old Town, I was feeling overwhelmed until I stumbled upon it, and it immediately caught my eye. The location is excellent; though it's just a few steps from the bustling pedestrian street, it's nestled in a quiet spot away from the noise. I stayed for two nights, and it was incredibly convenient for finding food—restaurants, cafes, and snacks galore. The butler was exceptionally thoughtful. They added me on WeChat before check-in, provided important information, and confirmed transportation details. Although the room isn't huge, it's fully equipped, and the attention to detail is impressive. The bath products were Le Labo Santal 33, my favorite brand and scent. Breakfast was abundant, and afternoon tea was provided during my stay. Small snacks on the 3rd floor were also available for self-service, and in the evenings, there was sleep-aid milk or white fungus soup. While it was a bit noisy facing the street, and I could clearly hear people talking, it became much better once the windows were closed. What touched me the most was that on my last day, I had to leave for the high-speed train station at 7:30 AM, but breakfast only started at 8:00 AM. I had planned to buy some bread the night before, but the butler offered to prepare a simple meal for us. The next morning, they handed us a big bag with two boxes of sandwiches, a box of hard-boiled eggs, a box of blueberries and strawberries, and a travel mug. How incredibly thoughtful! Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I'll definitely try their hotels in other cities next time.

MmoneymoremoreThe location is fantastic, directly across from the Dali Ancient City Tourist Center. There's a large open space in front of the tourist center, making it very convenient for taxis and parking, though it can get a bit congested during peak hours. It's a super short walk, only about 100 meters, from the hotel to the south gate of Dali Ancient City. The hotel service is also excellent. The concierge staff (young women) are incredibly warm and attentive. Any questions I had were answered quickly via WeChat. I feel their service is comparable to Haidilao. You can see the specific services offered in the pictures; there are so many! For laundry and drying, you don't even have to do it yourself; just give your dirty clothes to the concierge, and they'll return them clean the next day. Every morning, breakfast not only includes a buffet selection but each person can also order a freshly prepared main dish. I think the Zajiang Ersi (noodles with fried sauce) is the best. Although Ersi is made from rice, its texture is quite unique – sticky, moist, not slippery, and a bit chewy. The fried mini sesame balls and fried date balls from the self-serve breakfast are delicious, and the sliced, juicy sausages are also very good. See the pictures for more details. The room is super spacious, the bed is huge, and the TV is a pop-up type hidden in a cabinet (Room 106). The afternoon tea is also incredibly exquisite, featuring flower cakes, preserved fruits, fresh fruit, cookies, and three different types of tea. I'll definitely stay here again if I come back to Dali.

GGuest UserAs someone who loves taking photos, the estate itself is a natural studio: the sea-view soaking tubs, the retro French-style corridors, the South France castle, the exotic Moroccan courtyard – everywhere is perfect for snapping pictures. I took so many beautiful photos, I'm thrilled! I especially want to commend the service: airport transfers, help with luggage, afternoon tea, goodnight desserts, breakfast, and a dedicated private butler service group. The attention to detail was impeccable, and they were always ready to assist! My dress for photos got dirty dragging on the ground, and they even helped me wash and dry it. All the hotel staff were so warm; I truly felt like a VIP.
