To sum it up, this was a nearly perfect vacation, and in my opinion, if you're looking for a quiet, tranquil, and comfortable resort experience, then Banyan Tree Sanya is the absolute best in Sanya! Beyond these advantages that surpass other hotels, Banyan Tree doesn't skimp on the expected perks of a luxury brand. First, the online claims of outdated facilities are unfounded; everything is in perfect working order. Second, regarding hygiene, even with a private pool villa nestled in the rainforest, I found the cleanliness to be absolutely up to standard! I was also quite satisfied with breakfast, especially the sour and spicy seafood noodles and the egg tarts – absolutely superb! And most importantly, the service. You can tell the front desk and concierge staff are genuinely dedicated; they are very patient and communicate and resolve issues promptly. Since it was our anniversary, they even upgraded our room when available, a big thank you to our butler, Youyou, for this wonderful hospitality! Overall, this trip far exceeded my expectations, and I am extremely satisfied!

First off, I absolutely do not recommend Tianya Town. It's a very strange place. If you're driving, you have to park your car in a pitch-black parking lot. This 'parking lot' is just an open dirt lot, gravel ground, with no charging stations whatsoever. Secondly, after leaving the parking lot, it's impossible to find the sightseeing shuttle stop, especially at night, as there are no clear signs. Thirdly, entering the town requires taking a sightseeing shuttle, which costs 6 CNY per person per ride, and 7 CNY at night. The收款单位 is Sanya Tianya Town Tourism Investment Co., Ltd. The B&B is extremely far from the shuttle stop, and you can't walk there. All the paths are winding, narrow alleyways, and it's heavily commercialized. They deliberately make you take the shuttle here. You have to take it for both entry and exit, meaning it's at least 12 CNY per person.

At night, we could even join the beach electronic music party and unwind with a few drinks. The room had great natural light, soft bedding, and a full set of toiletries. Getting around was very convenient; it was just a few minutes' walk from our room directly to the beach. The overall vibe was lively and energetic, making it perfect for girlfriends to come together, relax, and destress.

This place is super convenient, whether you're driving or taking a taxi. The owner offers pick-up, and it's also easy to get around on foot once you're here. It's located in a villa community with a three-bedroom, two-bathroom setup, plus a kitchen and living room – just like a real home. The rooms are clean and tidy, perfect for families or a group of friends. If you stay for a few days, you can truly experience living like a local; you can even buy groceries and cook. The price is fair, and they offer one free drop-off daily within a 6km radius, which is super handy as taxis only take 1-3 minutes. Honestly, I found it even more convenient than driving. You can also rent electric scooters for getting around. The pictures were taken when I left, but it was even tidier upon check-in. The 500 deposit was returned promptly after check-out.

The day before my arrival, our butler, Xiao Zhao, proactively contacted me via WeChat to confirm my itinerary and inquire about any special requests. The hotel is located next to Yalong Bay Golf Course, boasting a beautiful environment with rivers winding through lush greenery. Our room had one bedroom, one living room, and one bathroom with a bathtub and kitchen. We dined at the hotel restaurant, enjoying a set meal of coconut chicken and the buffet. The beach is beautiful, but the jet ski vendors there were quite aggressive, often using megaphones to tell tourists to leave, claiming that area was exclusively for their business and telling people to go play elsewhere.

He was incredibly helpful with any requests, including readily agreeing to a late check-out. However, I'd suggest the hotel add cotton pads to the in-room amenities, as they're quite commonly used.

The room was amazing, very large with a huge amount of space, including a living room area and a lovely balcony. I had a beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony. The swimming pool was also great and very refreshing to use, especially in the heat. The location is good as well, with the beach only around a 5-minute walk away. However, Donghai Beach was closed during my visit, so I ended up going to other nearby beaches instead. There are a few areas where the hotel could improve. It felt very geared towards Russian tourists, and at times it seemed like they were prioritised more than others (I travelled from the UK). Also, while the pool itself was lovely, the lifeguards were not very friendly and were often sitting around smoking or on their phones, which didn’t give the best impression. The hotel is also missing a great opportunity with the bar area in the middle of the pool, which wasn’t being used at all. It would be a perfect spot to serve drinks and cocktails and really elevate the experience. Overall, it’s a nice hotel with a beautiful, spacious room and good facilities. With a few improvements to customer service and better use of its amenities, it could easily feel like a strong 4 star hotel.
