GGuest UserThe price doubles and goes up. I have stayed in this hotel many times. It always feels good. I came here again after many years and felt that the overall service and the quality of the food in the hotel were much worse. In particular, the service may be understaffed during the peak season, but it is indeed a very good hotel. Be sure not to make any mistakes when booking a hotel, otherwise he will be unkind and only care about money!

MMiwangdenvhuangdiThe location is superb, right by Kyoto Station and just a two-minute walk from the exit. As a designer hotel, it certainly met expectations; the staff's strong service-mindedness made for a very comfortable stay. However, the lack of basic amenities such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, shower caps, and cotton pads was a letdown. For a supposed five-star hotel, I found this to be incredibly cheap. Especially considering the high nightly rate; a two-night stay certainly wasn't inexpensive.

MMiiiii08I brought my parents to Kyoto and we stayed at this hotel. The triple room was incredibly spacious, much larger than the double rooms I've stayed in before. It was clean and tidy, with excellent hygiene. The private onsen comes highly recommended! My parents also had a fantastic stay. All in all, it's a perfect score! Service: Check-in was at 3 PM, and the front desk service was thoughtful and thorough. They explained the hotel facilities very clearly. (If you don't speak Japanese, there are staff who speak English.) Facilities: It's a very traditional Japanese-style room, which my parents loved. The public bathing area was also very clean, and the private onsen was super comfortable. The hotel signage was clear, and every detail was meticulously thought out – really impressive! Breakfast: The buffet breakfast offered a wide and diverse selection, with both Western and Japanese options, and plenty of delicious desserts! We were absolutely stuffed~

FfongThe rooms are decent. There's a communal bath, which is kind of like a hot spring, though the water is just regular tap water – it was clean and hygienic. On the second floor, there's a ping-pong table, an all-you-can-drink bar, and a small kids' play area. It feels like a friendly little community. The staff are all polite and attentive. There's an aquarium very close by, and the hotel has a back entrance for direct access. We didn't realize this until we walked all the way around in the rain! There's a surface parking lot if you drive, costing 2500 yen per day for unlimited use, but the small road leading in can be a bit tricky to find.

GGuest UserOnline hotel bookings can often feel like a blind box draw, but Dusit Thani was definitely the right pick. Every staff member I encountered had an excellent attitude, the room was spotless, and even though the turndown service only provided a bottle of water, it was a pleasant and thoughtful touch. Thai brands truly excel in their service consciousness and aesthetic sense. The room itself was incredibly comfortable, and with no other guests in the public lobby areas, I thoroughly enjoyed the bliss of reading a book alone.

MM49868****The room is a duplex, with two floors. The large bathtub with circulating water is downstairs for bathing, and the upstairs is for sleeping. On the first day, we arrived late and couldn't rent a kimono, so the store owner gave us yukatas, which are almost the same as kimonos. At least we got the experience. It rained that night, and we ate and drank in the house, listening to the sound of rain in the yard. It was particularly healing. The breakfast the next morning was particularly rich and I highly recommend everyone to experience it. It's authentic Japanese cuisine, the tamagoyaki is especially delicious, and there's also grilled salmon and soup. In short, it's very rich. I feel that the store owner really puts a lot of effort into it. What I care about most when I bring my children is cleanliness and hygiene, a good environment, and excellent service. I'm not very good at English or Japanese, but the store owner was very patient in answering my questions. I will definitely stay here again next time I go to Japan.

GGuest UserThe room size was barely adequate. The idea of having a separate vanity, shower, and toilet was good in theory, but the design was flawed, making it very inconvenient to place toiletries. The floor had a strange odor—neither pleasant nor foul—I couldn't tell if it was from floor polish or something else. I initially thought it was the smell from my own feet after a long day of walking. The hotel claims to be eco-friendly, so many toiletries weren't provided, likely because there simply wasn't enough space. The service was mediocre; they didn't even replenish the bottled water when cleaning the room on the second day. After visiting several cities, I've come to realize that it's better to choose established hotels for good service and experience. Design-oriented hotels often look good but aren't practical. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its excellent location with convenient transportation access. Shopping is extremely convenient, with Takashimaya right next door and plenty of other places to shop and many restaurants. Of course, the foot traffic is enormous, and the street can be noisy at night, so those with light sleep should think twice before booking.

IiamnotdelicateThe basic room type isn't in the main building; you have to walk up to the main building each time to have breakfast or soak in the onsen (hot spring). And it's not a real onsen; my friend's superior room was the real onsen. We were given a small room at the back of the hotel, but thankfully there weren't too many graves. When I asked the staff at the entrance to take photos for me, they were very reluctant and had a sour face. At night, on my way back to my room from my friend's, the receptionist on duty in the lobby was also very rude. Overall, I was dissatisfied with the service. The facilities are excellent, very new, and the hotel is quite small, but that's typical for Japanese hotels. The decor is also very nice; the aesthetics are on point. There are at least three cemeteries and a bunch of shrines nearby; bring some amulets if you like.

AAnonymous UserUpon check-in, there was a staff member in the lobby who spoke Chinese. When checking out, a young woman helped me retrieve my stored luggage and even carried it to my car. She had already asked for my car number beforehand and came to the waiting area to notify me when the car arrived. I regret not catching her name. The hotel also offers a free shuttle bus to and from Kyoto Station daily. Although my stay was mostly arranged for an event and I only extended it by one day, they didn't make me switch rooms. I think their service is excellent.
