Holiday Inn Express & Suites Phoenix Airport

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in February. It is relatively close to the airport and about 1/4 mile from I-10. However, it is still pretty quiet. We did not have a car but their parking seemed sufficient. We were offered a room on floors 2 - 4 and opted for 2. While there is an elevator (of course), there is also a wide staircase in the 2-story atrium so if you are staying on the 2nd floor, it is quite convenient to get down to the lobby. Our room was fairly spacious; there was no problem laying out a couple of suitcases either on the floor or a bench. It was also quite dark at night, which was good. The AC was effective if you turned it on. The bathroom was okay. It is an all-in-one config where the sink is inside with the toilet and shower (no tub). Water pressure ws good. It took some effort to turn off the shower - you had to really crank the handle. They could use at least one more place to hang a small washcloth to dry your hands near the sink. They have an included breakfast which begins at 6 a.m. just off the lobby. The options were pretty good - back to pre-pandemic standards. It tended to fill up by 6:30 a.m., so you may want to come early to avoid the rush. Also, if you have a super-early check out (before breakfast starts), there happens to be a Waffle House in a connected parking lot (literally 100 meters from the hotel's doors); that is open 24 hours a day. The hotel can book you a spot on the airport shuttle. You need to let them know the day prior.

Thank you for maintaining the excellent customer service and professionalism from the Front Desk agents and thank you to the Housekeeping staff who prepared our room. It's clean with a fresh smell. We definitely will repeat the stay when we're back in town.

Nice clean hotel, treated well, my only complaint was lack of food places nearby, luckily a Waffle House nearby. Also the bed and pillows were a bit hard but otherwise decent

Everything thing was great- check in, parking, staff & room. Only issue was that the AC was very noisy but other than that we were very comfortable & will stay there again in the future.

We missed our flight connection and ended up staying one night, pretty standard, clean, well-preserved. Only the room smelled moldy, but with the AC on it went away. Convenient with the airport shuttle

This hotel is ok. No amenities. I got in around 6pm and wanted to eat. No food. They were prepping the free breakfast, but I had to walk to another hotel to get something. I felt that the bed was ok and so were the pillows. I liked the Dove brand soaps. They do moisturize! But the carpet and wallpaper and everything else look very worn in. The shuttle service was outstanding.

It smelled musty. Called to do an early check-in, employee was rude and said that there are no early check-ins.

Hotel was clean and well maintained. Staff were courteous and very helpful. Both of the shuttle drivers I rode with were very pleasant and did a great job. Breakfast was outstanding. Will definatly stay again.

Lots of convenient parking !!! Clean !! Food was good . Smelled funny when first walked in once aired out smelled fine . Super clean bathroom
