Falkensteiner Boutique Hotel Prague

Old Town Prague|0.94km from Palác Orbis
We were in Falkenstein Hotel for 3 nights and had a normal double room. First to the positive: Breakfast is really good and in addition to the buffet are served on order fresh things like omelets, Porige & Co. On the buffet there could be a little more vegan choice. Except for a humus and alternative milk there was not much. This does not fit to a modern young hotel. However, you can say that breakfast is fresh, lovely and sufficiently rich. Also the staff at breakfast is very friendly and attentive! However, what we have never experienced is that the buffet is really closed in time and everything is immediately cleared. That is uncomfortable and does not fit to a high-end hotel. Now to the negative aspects: In general, we were not satisfied with our stay. The lobby & bar is modern and stylish. The lifts are obsolete and the fence works more after a motel. The rooms are small (but not bad for us!) However, there also lacks some lovely details that you would expect in a 5-star hotel. The coffee machine is a little old and calcified, too, there is no water cooker but tea accessories which is somewhat questionable. The worst was the service at the lobby and the cleaning forces!! During our stay, we had always been in the lobby to face the same gentleman who appeared unfriendly and unsympathetic. One day after cleaning our room, we stayed without toilet paper and without a single towel! We have drawn attention to this and received a slightly annoying reaction instead of an excuse! The price-performance ratio is unfortunately not true in this hotel and we have made better experiences with 5 and 4 stars hotels in Prague.

Jalta Boutique Hotel

Old Town Prague|1.02km from Palác Orbis
This hotel is good, do not be put off that it is a former Soviet-era built hotel. It isn't shabby and the staff are very nice. The beds are comfortable and they considerately supply lovely, soft pillows, in two sizes so you can get really comfy. Bathrooms are well presented with L'Occitaine soaps & shampoos etc. The only drawback we found in the bedroom was that the bedside electrical sockets were not close to the bed, so it meant alittle inconvenience for us in particular, using a CPAP machine, rather than being universally annoying for everyone. The in-house restaurant, serving sushi-styled dishes is also good albeit expensive. Do not be talked into eating too much though, as we were and then landed a £100/head bill - but that was our fault for being probably too greedy after a long day's travelling. It's well situated in Wenceslas Square and you will find it more convenient than its position on a map may suggest. The Old Town is easily walked into. The only two things we were disappointed by were a) the breakfast area was, we think, because it was Feb and the hotel operating at half capacity, was effectively in their nightclub area. It's rather gloomy with the wrong vibe for your morning breakfast, even the though th ebreakfast itself is generous and with a wide range of choices. (They actually have a lovely conference cum dining area we glimpsed on the first floor but I suspect that is used when occupancy is fuller); b) the fascinating Fall Out Shelter located in the hotel basement tour was slightly spoilt by the poor student whose English wasn't quite up to par, so we found it hard to follow his explanations. It's still worth a look though, and see for yourself Orwell's '1984' novel sort of made real. Overall a good choice for a short break.

EA Hotel Tosca

Nové Město
The hotel staff was kind and helped me with any questions I had. The hotel is clean and tidy but not at a very high standard, for me it was enough. The location of the hotel is excellent - next to a metro station and a station of several tram lines but the truth is that the main square and the city center are a 15 minute walk so I didn't always use public transport, on the other hand the hotel was not in a very central and noisy place. The hotel had the option of a simple breakfast for some extra cost, but I preferred to eat in local cafes. Unfortunately the air conditioner did not work and it was a hot day. I didn't talk about it with the hotel staff because I wasn't in the hotel most of the day and it wasn't the peak of the heat. It is important to note that in order to get to the elevator and from the elevator to the room there are stairs that may be difficult for older people.
Hotel Claris

I’ve stayed in hotel Claris for three nights in beautiful Barcelona, with service option BB, with my friend. The hotel location is good, in city center, but room for two person was smaller than usual. The bathroom amenities were poor - for istance two shower gel bottles were so small that it coudn’t be used for shower niether one person, and we got two in total, so we need to purcase additional shower gel. The bed was pretty comfortable, though. The breakfast was ok, but with same offer during whole stay (not big choise for fruit and pastry), not really typical for five star hotel. The hotel staff is pleasent but willing to assist only during your stay - if you have any problem - don’t count! For instance - I have forgotten my shirt ( not an ordinary one) but while we exiting the room to do check out, cleaning lady was finishing the room next to ours, and entered our - as soon as we got out. I’ve realised that I’ve forgotten my shirt as soon as I got back home ( the same day) and urgently contacted the hotel .The response I got that day and next ten days was they din’t find nothing. They didn’t want to provide any assistance and didn’t want to consider the option of compensation in any way. So, if you decide to visit this definitely NOT five star hotel, take care about your belongings, if you don’t want to miss them in future. I certainly won’t visit it ever again!

This hostel is the hotel with the best atmosphere I have stayed in Europe these few days. The front desk is very friendly and everyone who comes in will greet me. The bathroom and toilet here are independent. They are not in the room. The facilities are great. There are plugs, small lights and curtains at the head of the bed. Even if a girl lives alone, it will not be awkward, because there is enough privacy.
Anna Hotel

Nové Město
If you want a quiet stay away from the noise and bustle of the Old Town I’d definitely recommend Hotel Anna. The staff were cheerful and friendly and although the establishment is more traditional and in an old building it was spotlessly clean. The beds were comfortable (although were two singles pushed together), excellent shower pressure and plenty of hot water. The breakfast was tasty, plenty of selection although mainly continental-style options. The surrounding area is less touristy and quieter which I liked with nice cafes and restaurants. Recommend La Boheme cafe, Bee’s and Sova restaurants. Also Grebovka park is really nice to walk around, but you’re only a short walk from Wenceslas Square and there are plenty of trams and the metro nearby.

Very good, good location, not expensive, rooms are large, breakfast is rich. Not far from the train station, take the light rail station and walk for a while. The subway and light rail are not far away. Close to the small supermarket. Big supermarkets go further

The hotel is at a great location, which is about ten minutes from the attractions. There are supermarkets and fast food restaurants around, which is very convenient. The breakfast is also very good! The young lady at the front desk is quite gentle.
