When it was first built and for the first few years of its operation, the Humei Boutique must have been a good quality hotel with nicely decorated/equipped rooms and public areas.
Unfortunately, those days are long in the past and all that remains is a very faded memory with very worn decorations (our room's wallpaper was patched in places), carpets (worn out and dirty in the corridors) and equipment (loose toilet seat and chipped drinking mug).
The front desk staff seem to have been specially selected for their total disinterest in customer service. Quite what do all day is a mystery as the relatively small lobby area is untidy and ill-maintained. However, an honourable mention must be given to the chambermaid on our floor who was unfailingly friendly and helpful.
Positives are good sized rooms, daily towel/supply replenishment and convenient location.
