Gorgeous restaurant. The planting as you arrive was beautiful and the scent filled the air. The setting was lovely and the decor excellent. The staff were brilliant, just the right amount of attention and enthusiasm. The food was delicious and the service just right. The only gripe I have was the cost of drinks. We asked for tap water which we were charged £5 for as it is filtered and for Charity. I am not tight, in fact I probably spend too much on good wine as I love it but tonight was outrageous. The wine was a 400% mark up… I am used to paying 200% to 300% but this was daft. When you are googling Tin Pot Hut wine which you can buy for around £10 and which is being sold for £40+ when normally I will happily drink a lovely Sancerre in a restaurant ( £70 at Gallivant!) it is time to be sensible and abstain… we are back home drinking a bottle from the fridge now…

5. Staff amazing. Comfortable, bougie, great food, cosy.really enjoyed our stay which was made by the staff who have thought through how to make the experience special. Lovely rooms, small but cosy and high quality. Food is the best in the area. Recommend visiting the too.

Why call it a Beach Hotel when you can not even see the sea or beach from there? You have to cross a busy road, a huge car park, and clamber over sand dunes before catching a glimpse of the waves. The hotel itself is cute, set up like a cosy bungalow. Staff is friendly. Dinner was a letdown though. The menu was a bit dull – nothing stood out, felt like we had tasted it all before. It would have been great to have something new and exciting, especially on a special weekend break. Grabbing an outdoor table was a first-come first-serve, but the staff seemed MIA. We had to pop into the bar ourselves to let them know most tables were taken, and no one had drinks! Same was for re-ordering drinks! The same story unfolded when we asked for the dessert and coffee menu. We got handed the menu but then got forgotten about – no one swung by to take our order. Ended up settling the bill inside and heading off..

Disappointed. Overpriced food and drinks. A waiter collected us from the lounge for dinner and as I walked behind him he was moaning about us not telling him where we were to another colleague who said to him “they are behind you”. Found him very stuck up. Told we were on the Complete Gallivant so ordered the 3 courses but when we checked out told we weren’t on that. I wouldn’t had 3 courses if I had known. I loved the ambience and lounge and bar area with the books and games. Loved Lyndsay and Mulli. The room was small but sweet. Loved the breakfast tray. Wouldn’t stay again though.

What a gem of a hotel across from the stunning dunes of Camber Sands. An amazing experience, and we loved every minute of it. The service was excellent, as was the food and room. Would definitely recommend and we will most certainly come back.

I went with my husband for a romantic gateway. The place is beautifully decorated, charming and cosy! The bedrooms are comfortable and the food is delicious. The place is located 2 min away from the beautiful beach of Camber Sands. I do highly recommend this hotel.

An excellent stay. We were warmly welcomed, food was great and so were the trea**ents on the Saturday. Enjoyed the yoga though the heater was noisy. Hotel is relaxed, comfortable and perfect for our needs. A little more information as to what was included and what was not would have been helpful but otherwise perfect

My friend and I have just returned from a one night stay, it was AMAZING! All staff were attentive, friendly, focused and approachable. The attention to detail from arrival in the car park, reception welcome, Spa Trea**ent welcome, food, drink and housekeeping was outstanding. We were made to feel like we were the only guests at the hotel, nothing was too much trouble , all our requests and needs were met. The food and wine was of an exceptional standard. The hotel, rooms, spa and yoga studio are perfect and unique. A final thank you to everyone and we look forward to recommending to friends, family and returning in the future.

A lovely stay. Stayed here for two nights under the complete experience- highly recommend. Food was excellent, drinks were delightful, room slightly overheated but that didn’t dampen the stay. Slightly limited breakfast menu, but dinner superb! Ruth was standout spa therapist, excellent at her job and really made the massage relaxing. Great location for both the beach and easy hour walk to Rye.
