"The breakfast was plentiful! It's rare to find a hotel where breakfast goes until 12 PM, which is perfect for young travelers. There's also afternoon tea. The hotel's surroundings are beautiful, and it's convenient for dining, entertainment, and shopping. The service was excellent; the parking attendant and the restaurant staff were all incredibly friendly. Harbin truly lives up to its reputation for hospitality. The hotel is located right by the Songhua River, with the cable car to cross the river directly across the street, and it's just a few minutes' walk to Central Street. Overall, I'm very satisfied."

"The hotel boasts an excellent location, within walking distance of Saint Sophia Cathedral and Central Street, and offers its own parking, which is very convenient for those traveling by car. The housekeeping staff and front desk personnel were all gentle and polite, providing thoughtful daily service. For the price, the room's environment and cleanliness were certainly up to standard. However, the response time for facility repairs was too slow. The TV was out of order on our first day, and despite reporting it, no one came to fix it, so it remained unusable on the second day. While daily service is good, the efficiency of hardware repair requests needs improvement. I hope the hotel can speed up repair processing to enhance the guest experience."

"The hotel's location right on Central Street is super convenient for getting around. St. Sophia Church and Daoli Food Market are just a few steps away downstairs. It's about a 20-minute walk to Hongzhuan Street Morning Market, and you can also easily walk to Stalin Park, which is by the Songhua River, and the Middle East Railway Songhua River Bridge. The hotel breakfast, however, was quite mediocre and needs improvement. Around 9 AM, they didn't seem to replenish the food much, and there weren't many options, which didn't match the price point."

We chose this Mercure hotel for our trip to Harbin, and our overall experience was excellent. The hotel's location is quite convenient; it's easy to catch a taxi right outside to various attractions. The room was very clean, with no strange odors, and the bed was super comfortable. It was also quiet at night, which was great for us traveling with a child.
The front desk staff were very friendly, and both check-in and check-out were quick. They were also prompt in responding to any questions or issues we had. The water pressure and temperature in the bathroom were good, and all the facilities were in perfect working order. The common areas were also tastefully decorated, making it very relaxing to return to the hotel after a long day of traveling.
Overall, it was a very pleasant stay for our family trip, and the value for money was good. We would definitely prioritize staying here again on our next visit to Harbin. Highly recommended!"

"The location is excellent, just a ten-minute walk from Saint Sophia Cathedral, yet it's surprisingly quiet despite being so central. The hotel has a charming, vintage-chic vibe that really suits Harbin's unique character. While the facilities aren't brand new, they definitely don't feel cheap. My only minor gripe is that the lighting in the room was a bit dim for my taste. It's a huge plus that they have their own parking lot, which is quite rare. The breakfast was decent, nothing spectacular but perfectly adequate. Overall, I'd recommend it!"

"The location is super convenient, right on Central Street. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. The bed had just the right firmness. Breakfast was varied and delicious; I ate there for two days and didn't have the same thing twice. For supper, they offered congee (century egg and lean pork congee on the first night, plain congee on the second) along with millet congee and some small side dishes. When you're out exploring during the day, you can grab bottled drinking water from a small fridge at the reception. The in-room teapot, cups, and tray were a nice touch for enjoying tea. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit."

"Pros:
*One of the few hotels during the Ice and Snow Festival that could fit a family of 4 and didn't cost an arm and a leg.
*We liked the layout of the 2-room unit - great for kids.
*Heated floors and the room was nice and toasty (almost too hot), so we kept the windows open from time to time.
*Metro station for Line 2 is just a 6-minute walk and for 2¥ takes you directly to the Sun Island's Snow Sculpture Expo (1 station ride) or Ice and Snow World (2 station ride).
Cons:
*It is a smoking hotel, so you can smell it both in the hallways as well as the rooms. We aired it out, but still.
*Cleanliness was so-so. One of the pillowcases was filthy. The staff exchanged it promptly. One of the towels had stains. The shower had hairballs in the corner. The dust under the desk had been there for a while...
*No views to speak of, just the backyards of other apartment high-rises. And with open windows - cigarette smoke from guys smoking outside will carry in (and we were on the 8th floor!)...
As we spent no time at the hotel other than sleep, it was alright. But I wouldn't book it if you want luxury, amenities or are sensitive to cigarette smoke."

"We stayed at the hotel in early August. Upon arrival, the concierge and front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel's location is excellent, right in the city center and very close to Central Street, just a short walk downstairs. It's incredibly convenient for getting anywhere. The restaurant environment was also lovely, and the staff there were warm and attentive. This is a great place for business trips, tourism, or family stays. We would definitely visit again if we have the chance."
