"The room is spacious, with beautiful city views and a prime location. There are many malls downstairs, and the property is directly connected to the MTR station, making it very convenient. However, the wardrobe and bathroom need improvement; cleanliness could be better as there was some dust, and the bathroom felt a bit dated. Only an overhead shower was available, with no handheld option, and water often leaked out onto the bathroom floor, making it slippery and inconvenient. Overall, it was a good stay, but the bathroom and cleaning could be improved."

"Hotels in Hong Kong are generally quite expensive with small rooms. I opted for this one primarily because its mid-range price point aligned well with my budget. The room itself wasn't small and felt quite spacious. The hotel boasts a good location. It's about a 15-minute walk from Sha Tin MTR station. Alternatively, if you prefer not to walk, several bus routes from Sha Tin station stop directly in front of the hotel, which is just one stop away. The hotel facilities are a bit dated, so don't set your expectations too high; it doesn't even compare to a typical 3-star hotel in mainland China. However, given Hong Kong's prices, this hotel offers pretty good value for money. My room only had a bathtub, no separate shower, which was a bit inconvenient as I usually shower. Interestingly, a smaller room I booked also had a shower. So, I'd recommend contacting the hotel directly when booking to clarify the room type and amenities. The hotel offers pleasant views from the room, overlooking both mountains and a river – truly beautiful and refreshing. Breakfast is served from 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM. While the selection isn't extensive, it includes staples like bread, fried noodles, fried vermicelli, sausages, eggs, yogurt porridge, and siumai. Beverages like coffee, tea, and juice are also available. The food was prepared cleanly, and it was sufficient to fill you up. Both check-in and check-out processes were very quick, especially check-out, where you simply drop your room key card into a designated box. I had a relatively long stay in Hong Kong this time. For day trips, I found it very convenient to catch buses directly from the hotel entrance. Bus 81c takes you straight to Tsim Sha Tsui, and if you're heading to Sai Kung, the 299x route is direct. I visited Sai Kung for the first time on this trip to see the sea and islands, and the water was exceptionally clean. I highly recommend taking a bus from the hotel entrance; it's only about a 30-minute ride. New Town Plaza at Sha Tin station also offers a wide range of shops and some excellent dining options. All in all, this hotel provides good value for money."

"Amazing hospitality at Hopewell, in a great location with lots of local food options and convenient shopping. The check-in process was very smooth with manager Karen Lee (who kindly upgraded our room for our anniversary). One our favourite hotels in Hong Kong, looking forward to coming back."

"Unfortunately, I always seem to get insect bites whenever I stay at this hotel, and this visit was no exception. The newer hotel tower offers genuinely beautiful and pleasant views. Check-out is half an hour earlier than standard. Citing their policy of not providing single-use plastic-packaged amenities, they don't offer a shower cap or toothbrush (though slippers are available). Bottled water also isn't provided and must be purchased. Overall, I'd say just try to enjoy your stay and don't pay too much attention to the staff's attitude. Given the value for money, it's still somewhat worthwhile!"

"Maybe our favorite hk hotel - room are large and the view is breathtaking! In room dining (burgers) and excellent ! The infinite swimming pool is great and the slides for children really fun! We will come back!"

"Hotel is pretty decent for HK and the price we paid, considering holiday season. But disappointed for a 4-Star chain standards. All basic facilities are provided. No frills. More like a 3-star than a 4-star. Shuttle makes it easier to get to shopping centre, closer to trains and buses to the city. Pool is only open during specific hours but they do have a lifeguard in duty so I’m not sure if I can complain. Gym has bare minimum equipment. They did mention we got an upgrade but the room is similar to what we booked. It’s a modern-tiny space-saving design room so it’s smart but annoying with the lack of cupboards, floor space etc. Everything in the room is tightly packed. You just get in, sleep an get out but that’s Hong Kong I guess."

"My child attended a concert at Kai Tak Sports Park, so we opted for the Dorsett Kai Tak, as it's the closest hotel to the venue. The room wasn't particularly large, but it was spotlessly clean. There's a dedicated access door on the second floor, right by the restaurant, which directly connects the hotel to the sports park – this was incredibly convenient. However, the access door closed a bit early, especially considering concerts usually finish and disperse around 10 PM. The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from the Airside mall. From the mall, you can enjoy shopping, dining, and entertainment, and conveniently, the Kai Tak MTR station is located directly below it, making transportation quite easy. Honestly, the breakfast selection was limited, and the taste was quite mediocre. Should we return for another concert, I hope to see an improvement in this area."

"This hotel is conveniently located near Disneyland. We took the hotel shuttle to the MTR station, followed by two MTR transfers to reach the park. Despite reading negative comments online and bracing myself for potential discrimination, I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and professional, patiently answering all our questions. Many even spoke Mandarin. "Upon checking in, I was immediately struck by the incredible view! We had panoramic vistas of Happy Valley and the city skyline, which was truly satisfying. The front desk staff were incredibly patient and even provided small necessities like disposable forks and spoons when requested. We also appreciated that by forgoing daily room cleaning, we received a 20 HKD vending machine voucher, which clearly shows their genuine commitment to environmental practices. My *only* negative experience was with a cleaning lady in the lobby. While I was filling my cup, it overflowed slightly onto the table – something I didn't immediately notice. She then loudly 'tsk-ed,' turned, glared at me, and rolled her eyes. Her attitude was truly shocking... I immediately apologized, but for a spill of less than 10 square centimeters to provoke such a furious reaction from her makes me wonder how often she must get upset or frustrated while performing her cleaning duties every day. Anyway, despite that incident, I was very satisfied overall. The room was spacious, and transportation was convenient. I would definitely recommend this hotel."

"The weather in Hong Kong from September 4th to 6th was absolutely perfect, really enhancing our sea-view room experience. I felt incredibly blissful just lying on the hotel sofa in the afternoon, gazing at the sea and daydreaming. The hotel is conveniently located right by two ferry piers, making it super easy to get to North Point and Central. Our room was very well-equipped (a water dispenser was a fantastic touch, so no worries about not having water in the morning!). The service was excellent; as our room wasn't ready punctually upon check-in, they kindly offered us a complimentary breakfast for a day. And a special shout-out to the breakfast – it was incredibly diverse and plentiful, featuring Japanese, Cantonese, and Middle Eastern cuisines. All in all, it offers excellent value for money and is definitely worth choosing! 👍"
