My recent stay at your hotel was truly exceptional, and I would strongly recommend it to others. What makes this property stand out is the home-like warmth and comfort of your service - every staff member went above and beyond to ensure a perfect experience.
The convenient location with easy access to transportation was ideal for both work and leisure, surrounded by great dining and business venues. Despite being centrally located, my room remained peaceful and quiet at night—a rare combination.
The unique room design deserves special mention, and I’ve already shared this ”hidden gem” with friends. When I return to Shanghai, this will be my first-choice accommodation for exactly these reasons. Keep up the wonderful work!

We were in town for a concert with my child, and the hotel staff proactively called us beforehand to confirm our check-in details. We arrived at the hotel around 11 PM, and the front desk staff were incredibly quick with the check-in process, which was a huge relief after a long day of travel!
Moving on to the room, we had a river view room this time. It was quite spacious and impeccably clean. For example, the electric kettle was spotless, inside and out – no water stains whatsoever. This really matters to someone like me who's a bit particular about cleanliness. The bedding was very comfortable, and the mattress was perfect, offering just the right amount of support without being too soft.
Finally, I have to give a special shout-out to the breakfast. I honestly didn't have high expectations, but the breakfast at MGM Shanghai truly blew me away! Unlike the standard, often unremarkable breakfasts at many star hotels, the selection here was incredibly rich and diverse. They had a live noodle station (the scallion oil noodles are a must-try!), freshly prepared seafood congee, and preserved egg and lean pork congee – all tasting absolutely delicious. Especially when compared to another five-star hotel we stayed at the very next day, even my daughter couldn't help but exclaim, 'I really miss MGM's breakfast!'

I chose this hotel for my business trip, and the experience far surpassed my expectations – I can't recommend it highly enough!
The front desk was incredibly efficient during check-in, completing the entire process in just a few minutes. There was a minor hiccup with my reimbursement invoice, but they promptly resolved it for me, perfectly catering to my business needs.
The bedding was comfortably soft, allowing me to quickly relax and fall asleep after a busy workday and wake up refreshed the next morning. The breakfast selection was rich and well-balanced, with hot items consistently available, which saved me a lot of time.
The hotel's location is also very convenient, and the restaurant on the second floor serves great food. This hotel will definitely be my top choice for my next business trip to this city!

Satisfactory accommodation. Newly renovated hotel and apartment. I stayed in an apartment, a one-bedroom suite, which was convenient and comfortable. When I checked in, the staff was warm and polite. I would like to praise them and thank them.
You need to swipe your room card to go upstairs, which is safe.
The big bed is not too hard or too soft. Although the bathroom is not separated into three parts, there is a door in the shower room. The privacy is good. The toiletries (4-piece set) are also said to be branded, smell good and easy to use.
The quality of bathrobes and slippers is very good, and the aunt changes them every day. Impeccable.
There is a washing machine with drying in the outer room, and drinks are also provided in the refrigerator. Good reviews!!!
The waiter is warm and thoughtful. I would like to express my sincere gratitude here!!!
The breakfast is also very rich. The homemade yogurt is delicious.
It is a little far from Yishan Subway Station. But walking is within an acceptable range. There is a Guangqi City at Yishan Station, with supermarkets and restaurants. Life around is also very convenient.
Disadvantages:
1. The floor is low, and the fan outside the window is a bit noisy, not obvious during the day, but a little more obvious at night.
2. The hot water in the bathroom is not strong enough (I personally like a large amount of water)

The Jinglai Hotel is located in Shanghai's Xujiahui District, a vibrant area with a distinctly old Shanghai vibe, and is just about 100 meters from Xujiahui Metro Station. On-site parking is convenient, and though a fee applies (around 19 RMB/day), it's considered very affordable for Shanghai. While some might find it unusual for hotels to charge for guest parking (a thought I shared on my first Shanghai visit), it's quite common in the 'Magic City' where different rules often apply. Rooms are compact, but the bedding is great and the mattress very comfortable. The front desk staff were proactive and helpful, even offering advice to save money. Breakfast was good and offered a decent variety. Overall, it offers excellent value for money. Additionally, the Jingyan Shanghai restaurant on the second floor serves delicious and reasonably priced local cuisine, especially the Yan Du Xian (salted pork and bamboo shoot soup), which was exceptionally tasty. Next time I visit Shanghai, I'll definitely stay at Jinglai again and dine at Jingyan!

Absolutely fantastic! I stayed here for a concert, and everything was great. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful, even advising on the fastest route to the venue. Amenities were always replenished promptly, and how cool is this – food deliveries were brought up by a little robot! I had such a pleasant experience. The biggest highlight for me was its unbeatable proximity to the stadium – super convenient! I will definitely be staying here again. Oh, and as a lovely gesture, the front desk gave me a complimentary bottle of water when I checked out, which was perfect for my journey.

Overall Review of Hengshan Garden Hotel
1. **Service:**
- **Exceptional hospitality** – A dedicated butler adds guests on WeChat to share local tips and promptly handles any requests.
- **Attentive staff** – The service team is not only professional but also stylish, with well-tailored uniforms.
- **Thoughtful touches** – Guests receive a welcome gift (including a cute plush toy) and a luggage tag upon departure.
2. **Dining:**
- **Nightly complimentary soup** – A different variety each day (though slightly too sweet—could use less sugar).
- **Late-night supper service** – A pleasant surprise, making it great value since you can have breakfast, dinner, *and* supper at the hotel.
- **Delicious dishes** – Standouts include the **vermicelli soup** and **sweet-sour white kidney beans with preserved plum**.
- **Extensive breakfast buffet** – Rich selection, arguably better than some local restaurants in shnaghai (or maybe I just didn’t find the right spots).
*Final Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)**
A special mention goes to **Manager Molly** for her **professionalism, warm service, and excellent English**, which greatly enhanced the experience. The **quality of both service and dining** fully deserves a perfect score.

I had a one-day staycation for National Day. I spent the week before the holiday searching for a hotel and was overwhelmed by the options available in Shanghai. Even the most expensive hotels often have discerning guests who are dissatisfied. I felt anxious after looking so much, so I finally followed my instinct and chose CHAO. I had been to Shanghai Film City many times before, but I hadn't realized there was a hotel behind it. The hotel just opened this year, and the interior is brand new. Inspired by the film ”Seventy-Two Tenants,” it has 72 rooms, each simply named with numbers. This led to numbers like 14, 44, and 13, which are often considered auspicious in Chinese and Western folklore. The staff initially assigned me room 13, but I didn't like it. I asked if I could choose the lucky number 28, but was told it wasn't possible because it was a more expensive suite with a significant price difference. I was then assigned room 25, which wasn't a good number either (at least it was 25, not 250...), but I didn't want to embarrass the staff, so I agreed. The staff said I could ask for a lucky number card at the front desk before checking out the next day. When I checked out today, no one at the front desk mentioned this, so I gave up. I was quite satisfied with the room itself. There was a takeout stand outside the door, so the staff could bring food upstairs without leaving it on the floor. The 2-meter king-size bed was soft and comfortable, making it a relaxing place to watch a movie. The mini bar had a large bottle of Evian water, and there were drinks like sugary cola, sugar-free cola, sugary soda, sugar-free soda, juice, and oat milk. I hope they'll stock up on milk in the future. I can't get an oat latte, but I love lattes, and seeing the capsule coffee machine, I was disappointed I couldn't make my own. Thankfully, they also had tea capsules, and the hot Lanxiang oolong I made with the machine was delicious and perfectly heated. The welcome dessert was spotless; the korma, nut tart, and snowflake crisps were all delicious. The bathroom, shower, and bath were separated, and the toilet temperature, showerhead water flow, and bathroom drainage were all impeccable. The only problem was a stubborn black stain on the wall below the sink next to the toilet. I wiped it, and it looked like a mildew stain, not a stain I hadn't cleaned properly. I hope the hotel can find a way to clean it up. The bathroom was fully stocked with amenities. Besides the standard toothbrush, comb, and shower cap, they thoughtfully provided a small bottle of mouthwash, dental floss, and cotton swabs. A housekeeper provided turndown service, setting out cups and slippers, and even gave us two extra bottles of Evian (which came in handy the next day on the City Walk). The semi-buffet breakfast, which lasted until 2 PM, was a key reason I chose CHAO. For those who prefer not to wake up early, brunch is a real relief. There were three all-you-can-eat menus in Chinese, Japanese, and English, each with a perfectly balanced portion and delicious flavor. I highly recommend the Jianbing (Chinese and English)! The restaurant staff was also very helpful, always clearing away empty plates. Due to time constraints, I didn't explore the public areas like the gym or library. We'll see you there someday.

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic – it's within easy walking distance of Wutong District for a leisurely city stroll, and there's an incredible array of dining options nearby. The service is exceptionally friendly and attentive, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the laundry room even thoughtfully provides disinfectant.
The decor is simple yet stylish, avoiding anything overly flashy. The rooms are spacious, and the in-room amenities are all high-quality. Being set back from the main road ensures a quiet and peaceful night's sleep. Breakfast offers a generous selection of both Chinese and Western dishes. Additionally, just a stone's throw away, the Meike Restaurant serves delicious and affordable local cuisine.

Shanghai Hotels Booking Tips
Book early (3-6 months in advance) for busy periods like National Day (1-7 Oct) or May Day holidays (1-5 May), or major China holidays.
Check trade fairs & events dates: Big trade shows (e.g. China Import Expo in November, Auto Shanghai in April), which can lead to higher prices and lower supply.
Save with deals: New Trip.com users can enjoy 8% off.
Stay smart: Try areas like Jing’an or Xujiahui - they're easily accessible via Metro Lines 1/2/10, but cheaper than the Bund, Nanjing Road, or Lujiazui.

GGuest UserMy recent stay at the Hanting Hotel far exceeded my expectations – it absolutely deserves full marks! Firstly, the location is incredibly convenient. Whether for business or exploring local eateries and shops, the surrounding transportation and amenities are excellent, saving both time and hassle.
The room itself was strikingly clean and tidy. The bedding was soft and comfortable, allowing me to quickly relax and enjoy a deep sleep until morning. The bathroom featured a well-designed wet-dry separation, and the toiletries were of high quality, showing thoughtful touches in every detail.
The service was an absolute highlight. From the warm and efficient check-in process at the front desk to the staff's prompt response whenever I had a need, their attitude throughout was consistently courteous and professional, with no hint of being perfunctory.
Overall, the value for money is outstanding. The next time I visit this city, Hanting Hotel will undoubtedly be my top choice, and I'll gladly recommend it to any friends who are looking for accommodation!

GGuest UserHad a great stay here. A great place to stay if you are looking to get a feel of the local Shanghai vibes. It is nestled between some old local apartments, and the area is gated with its own security. You will barely see any tourists in the area, there are many shops, restaurants, mini markets, fruits and vegetable shops and even shops selling fresh fish nearby. There are also some very local massage shops nearby that provide very good massages for reasonable prices (there are also some luxury ones too if it suits your budget. The metro is short 10 minutes walk away, if you don't feel like walking its easy getting around with DIDI.

QQinganFacilities: Well-equipped.
Service: Excellent.
Cleanliness: Excellent, with all essential toiletries provided.
Ambiance: Good overall, but the soundproofing seemed average. I could faintly hear the TV, music, and even singing from the adjacent room, which was a minor distraction. Aside from that, everything else was fine. On a separate note, our room happened to overlook a construction site (a slight inconvenience). Thankfully, the windows were very well soundproofed; closing them completely blocked out the noise.

GGuest UserWe booked the family room for 3 travellers, it was clean, comfortable and spacious. There was no breakfast, but this was not a problem due to the numerous nearby restaurants that catered to all budgets.

GGuest UserThe hotel is at the crossroads, the location is very good to find, when the hotel is not there, but the note is left, the mineral water is put, it can be seen that the service is good at the front desk. During the check-in period, the room seemed to be cleaning, there were quite a lot of people, and the front desk also gave a bottle of drink intimately. After the check-in, there is also a security uncle to help with the luggage, that is, the room is not very big, but I can understand that after all, the location is here, the price is reasonable, but her service is really good, the room is very clean, I am here to see a doctor, her service is really warm to me, I will choose her home next time.
