It was such a pleasure for us to stay at Amara! We had a lovely vacation, and the staff was also very welcoming! Love the high floor view and the room is spacious and clean 🥰 Located in Putuo neighbourhood. It takes roughly 5-7 minutes to walk to Changshou Road Metro Station. Modern bathroom design with great amenities! The gym was well-equipped, but the pool was closed when we visited. Definitely coming again if we come back to Shanghai 🇨🇳

Very good location, 2 metro station close to the hotel, you my get a bit confuse to find it because it is between the stores so it looks like an entry to a store or restaurant.
Service was excellent, our toilet had problem and we alert the staff and they took care of it very fast.

I’d say this place is one of the best affordable short-term serviced apartments in Shanghai. Highly recommended for travelers and business trips.
The location is super convenient — you’ve got easy access to the metro station, supermarkets, McDonald’s, Starbucks, and tons of restaurants. The room is also equipped with a washing and drying machine, a microwave, and a big TV screen that supports smartphone mirroring, giving you total freedom.
The service is excellent too — Ms. Yunyun has been incredibly kind and always helped me whenever I had questions. Giving her 5stars for her outstanding attitude and skills.
I’ll definitely book again in the future.

Hotel was quite a walk away from the nearest metro stations so we ended up calling a Didi for most of our commute. Other than location, everything else was great. Service staff were friendly, breakfast was good, rooms were spacious and clean and ordering food delivery or room service was very convenient with the robot sending the required things to our room.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Mostly my stay was OK. The only problem of this hotel has to do with other guests and how the hotel is constructed. The doors are quite heavy. When they fall shut, the vibration propagates on the whole floor. Other guests were not considerate at all and again and again did not prevent their doors from slamming shut. This created lots of noise late at night and even midnight. Many other guests must have noticed themselves, that falling shut doors in this hotel creates noise that one can hear and feel in ones own room, but many guests also didn't give a damn about anyone but themselves, so they did not possess the courtesy to prevent their doors from slamming shut. How inconsiderate. Another problem was, that for a couple of days I had very annoying people one floor higher, who would run and jump around and apparently demolish their whole room until late at night. A couple of times I felt the urge to go upstairs and hammer their door and to ask them, whether they are insane or something. Thankfully the staff of the hotel took care of it. Unfortunately I had to contact the staff 3 separate times about this issue.
It is not the fault of the staff, but this hotel does not have great sound insulation, and you will hear lots of noise from other guests frequently.
Everything else was OK. The cleaning happened every day and they provided water and even coke and sprite drink every day, if one drank the drinks of the previous day. I cannot complain about the service at this hotel.
The location is very close to Changshou Road, which is great. One slight issue is, that there is simply not much going on in Jing'an District, so one will have to take the metro or other means of transportation to get somewhere frequently.

The hotel is a little bit tired, but has the best location ever. Two metro stations are in about 500m. Some staff doesn't speak English but nevertheless we got the best ever possible help (for example, we had to go in an airport asap and we got taxi in 10 minutes). Breakfast was the best part of our stay.

Fantastic hotel. One of the first I’ve visited in China which actually had everything the way they showed it on the pictures.
Clean, relatively central, good breakfast with a lot of variety, small but good gym with modern and fully functional multi-function cable machine.
Food delivery is brought by robots.
I also asked to store my luggage for 3 weeks while I travel outside of China and the staff was immediately saying yes without any fee or other issue. I can recommend it very well and will come again.

I highly recommend this hotel! The best thing is that there is a shuttle bus to Disneyland, which is frequent and punctual, which easily solves the travel problem and can quickly ”recover” after the trip. The room is warmly decorated, spotlessly clean, and the bed is moderately soft and hard. The service staff is kind and patient, and the whole experience of staying is perfect. It is super suitable for both family travel and couples travel!

Future business trips in Shanghai are planned to live in this store, and there is a need to reply, and the service is very good. BBertusThe hotel was ideally located. It is near the subway (use Exit 4) and it is also close to nightlife and restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful, after initially looking a bit confused and not being sure what to do. The room was what I needed. It is not the largest or most spacious, but for a single person or even a couple staying one or two nights, it is great! I would recommend this hotel at a decent price.

GGuest UserAdvantages of the hotel:
1. Great location, 5-7 minutes to the metro (line 13 is very convenient).
2. There is air conditioning, in the heat (35-38 degrees) it really helped.
3. Every day they cleaned the room, changed the towels and put 2 bottles of water.
4. At the reception you can ask for a block for a Chinese socket from an iPhone, they give it to you without any problems, the main thing is to explain or translate through a translator.
Disadvantages:
1. I got a room with steps leading to the bathroom, therefore, if you are 190+ tall, you will have to wash yourself bent over.
2. On the 3rd day after returning home, there was a centipede on the wall. We did not change the room, since everything was already unpacked, but a friend (who recommended this hotel, said that in this case you can take a photo / record a video and they will change your room)
To sum up, I would give this hotel 8 out of 10 for my money.

GGuest UserQuite a good hotel, fully meets expectations, considering the low cost. The location is very convenient, a very beautiful temple is right next door, the Jiangning Road metro station is really a couple of minutes walk away, opposite the FamilyMart hotel. The staff is polite, helpful. The renovation is old, which is what gives away the cheapness. The room is cleaned every day, they give out all the necessary accessories (toothbrush/paste, comb, slippers, napkins, toilet paper and water) as needed. Of the minuses: we did not have a refrigerator in our room (maybe in other rooms there is), it makes life very difficult ... but there was a hairdryer, kettle, TV (did not use, I do not even know what channels are there) and air conditioning. The bed is large and comfortable. In general, we were pleased with the hotel 👍🏻
P.S. I made screenshots from the video, so the quality is so-so, but the gist is clear.
