Silkeborg Hotels with Pets allowed

Spending a few days at the hotel Gl. Skovriddergaard in Silkeborg was a really nice experience. We got a junior suite in the oldest building with a lot of space - and tons of charm! The hotel is located in the outskirts of what is said to be Denmarks largest forest, which in this case means numerous possibilities for outdoors life - with a lot of idyllic paths along many small lakes. For us, this was perfect! Add to this a very good kitchen, and a friendly and most helpful staff - and it goes without saying that we will come back!

Hotel Dania is centrally located in Silkeborg, a 4-minute walk from Silkeborg Museum and 9 minutes by foot from Paper Museum. Very nice surroundings where you can walk and enjoy the nature. The hotel offers conference rooms and that is arranged perfectly. The staff is very friendly and the hotel is clean and maintained well. Two important improvements needed in my opinion: 1) there is no option to choose from different meals, it is just ‘served as it is’. For me this is not convenient as I have allergies and don’t eat fish. They also just fill your glass with wine during dinner without asking. That is a big “no” for me! It has nothing to do with “exclusiveness” or “luxury”. It’s just not right. 2) the heating in the room cannot be switched off and the window could not open. I woke up in the middle of the night overheated. Why are you doing this, it is very uncomfortable and I don’t understand. Please don’t do this.
