"Our stay at Sheraton Sanya Resort was truly wonderful. Although the hotel is not new, it has a very special charm and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Our room was very cozy and comfortable, everything was kept exceptionally clean, and the view from our room was absolutely beautiful. The hotel has a fantastic beachfront location with direct access to the sea. The walk to the beach takes you through a beautiful tropical garden with green lawns and lovely landscaped areas, which gives the whole resort a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. There are several swimming pools, as well as plenty of facilities and activities for children. Breakfast is delicious and offers a very good selection of both European and Chinese dishes. Everything is fresh, and there is always plenty of food available. What impressed us most, however, was the service. The hotel staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and responsive. Everyone is always ready to help with any request, and you genuinely feel that they care about making your stay as pleasant as possible. The level of service has been excellent. A very special mention goes to Allim at the front desk. He helped us with every question we had and always made sure we had all the information we needed. He is extremely attentive, kind, patient, and helpful, and always made us feel that we could turn to him whenever we needed assistance. We truly appreciated his care and support throughout our stay. Another great advantage is that the front desk staff can communicate in Chinese and English, and there is even Russian-speaking assistance available. The overall atmosphere of the resort is wonderful and makes you want to come back. In fact, we enjoyed our stay so much that we decided to extend it for several more days. "Staying for 2 nights and 3 days, thanks to our butler Dora for taking care of us. This InterContinental is more suited for office workers who want to escape the world and just relax. The rooms are quite spread out, so if you don't want to walk to the restaurant, pool, or beach, you'll need to wait for the shuttle. During breakfast rush hour, you might wait 15-20 minutes, and the front-end service staff's flexibility is a bit lacking. Waiting for the shuttle every morning was quite frustrating. Garden view rooms require going up and down half a flight of stairs, which can be tiring. However, the room itself is very quiet, and the view when you open the curtains in the morning is quite therapeutic. There are very few people, over 70% seem to be Russians, giving it a feeling of escaping reality. The hotel is halfway up the mountain, so the ecosystem is thriving; there are geckos and spiders, and noticeably more mosquitoes than in Haitang Bay. The kids' club feels like an afterthought, with too many coin-operated, light-and-sound machines. The entire hotel is very hot; I was sweating profusely every morning during breakfast. The hotel's private beach is tiny. The public beach through a small gate requires renting lounge chairs, and sand-digging tools were already in the room, so we had to lug a big bag of stuff every time we went out. The sea at Dadonghai is much better than Haitang Bay, a pure blue, but because it's a coral protection area, the sand is coarser and rough on the feet."
