Hotels near The War of Independence Victory Column in Tallinn

This if former ”Ulemiste hotel”, recently rebranded to ”Mercure”. If not mistaking, some period during and post-covid it was not functioning. From interior/exterior point of view nothing much changed, even colours and furniture remained original from previous hotel. Food quality during breakfast slightly improved, didn't try restaurant onsite, but must say bar doesn't have draught beer, only bottled. Bed was comfortable, sound insulation reasonable. The only downside - permanently changing temperature of water from hot to cold. Parking free for hotel guests. 100m from hotel - large ”Ulemiste” shopping mall with many shops and places to eat. Overall would recomend, if you don't desperatelly want to stay in old city. Myself would stay if price offer is attractive only.

I arrived to the hotel late night to the building shown in the hotel photos.Therr was a writing on the door asking guests to contact the reception which is 80 metres away in order to obtain the keys.So I had to find the reception . Which I did.The girl on the reception was very helpful and friendly.The actual room was ok.The hotel extension building was a bit run down.My room faced the main road which was very noisy.It is ok for just one night because it is very basic

From check in until check out it has been a remarkable stay. The Suite had a stunning view, the snack delivered to the room was delicious, the mini bar had a good selection of drinks, while the wines tasted very cheap. The only thing I need to criticise and why I cannot give 10 points is the Lounge experience. First the check-in counter did not give me an invitation to the lounge while I have a qualifying status and only after checking eligibility online I asked for permission to access. During the period of the stay in the lounge there has been no staff, so whenever a snack or drink ran out there was no-one to re-fill and also no-one to clean up. On the other hand breakfast was delicious and the staff very friendly and helpful. Also I liked the long time to enjoy breakfast, as I am not a morning person. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and we are looking forward to be coming back some time in the future.

Did not say the location, in the center of Tallinn, a traffic light is Tallinn Old Town, five or six kilometers from the airport, a taxi for 8 euros. The breakfast was good, the local mustard fish and tomato fish tasted great. In addition to two large beds, the family room also has a bunk bed for children, especially for the second child. This hotel has satisfied absolutely all our requests. Located in a quiet respectable area in 12 minutes of rushed walk to the old city. Large rooms. Modern design. Comfortable beds. Extraordinaryly comfortable bedding. Conceived lighting. Absolutely no reason for criticism from the point of view of comfort and convenience. Breakfast is abundant, diverse. It is served absolutely the same every day, but everyone will find the necessary and acceptable options for himself. We travel around the world and always stay in hotels with spa centers. The design, the convenience offered in this hotel, we liked it very much. A magnificent sauna and Turkish bath filled with the fragrance of the eucalyptus. Glass walls that do not limit space. Comfortable temperature in the pool. Extremely efficient underwater massage. Before booking at the hotel, I contacted Olga Sorokina Reservations coordinator and received immediate and effective assistance from her. So for us a big surprise was how chmury, unfriendly, uninterested in the clients front desk workers. They do their job as if they serve punishment. At check-out we didn't even hear the duty ”how was your stay?” Only this moment caused confusion. In general, the hotel is really great.

Really relaxing experience. Our room was spacious and very comfortable with a fridge, tube and ”a living room”. No loud noises and really peaceful to sleep. Hotel's location is excellent and small spa is a nice extra. We have stayed here many times before but not in this kind of new and fancy room. Breakfast was really good but some really young servants were maybe a little too eager to pick up the dishes and it was too funny to follow the customers holding up their plates while eating to not to loose them. Must be some compatition or bonuses coming :)

I had a fantastic 2 nights experience. Lovely hotel indeed, a part of the Radisson Collection edition , which brings a special vibe : sophisticated scented lobby , calm and welcome atmosphere , great Spa and impeccable breakfast! Important to mentioned that all members of staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and available 24/7 . Lobby area also has a snack station , such a nice touch that helps you through the day . Room is lovely , freshly designed and the highlight is a coffee machine. But my absolute favourite was the bed : mattress is perfect , pillows and duvet are super quality and contain real feathers , no synthetic materials . I slept like a baby. Great location , quite central , just a short walking distance to Old Town. Highly recommended place and great value for money!

The surrounding environment is quiet. The hotel is not far from the urban area. On the way back to the hotel from the ferry pier, I went to the old city wall of Sweden, which took about 40 minutes. The breakfast is very rich. This hotel is worth living in again.

Second stay at this hotel, the first being when Covid just began in March 2020. So nice to be back and have a stress free visit. Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived until we departed 24 hours later. Staff couldn't be more helpful, room was lovely. It was quiet, spacious, had a great view of the old town and the new town. The AC unit easy to work, nice shower, comfy beds, good television and one of the top Hilton breakfast buffets we have tried. Can't wait to return next year! Love this property and it is only a short walk to the ferries and the old town.

Very ice and cozy place to stay. Rooms are really small, probably more suitable for one person not a couple. Everything modern and comfortable, very nice and modern bathroom, only their mattress was too tough (not American style, ha-ha). They have a very nice lobby with bar and a restaurant . Really close to everything: 2 min drive from bus station, 5-7 from airport, less than 10 min walk to the old city. What I didn't like: staff charged me for an early check-in almost the same what I paid for one day. And I had problem with charging my phone, the socket didn't work or maybe I didn't understand how to use it, it was more complicated than just insert you charger into socket)))) But anyway this hotel is certanly much better than you expect from economy for less than 40 euro per night. If you travel to/from Tallinn by bus or air and want to be closer to bus station/airport, if you're solo traveler or couple but need hotel for 1-2 nights and don't have much luggage, I highly recommend this place
