Best Hotels in Tanne, Germany

4 months after our last tour early February we were now to Pinksten back in the chanzenhouse. The greeting at the arrival in the morning was more than friendly. Check Inn has already been performed, although the rooms are ready for reference only from 15.00 clock. In the evening we have obtained our beautiful and clean room with view of the castle. Some positive changes have been made. Congratulations! Breakfast was very tasty and rich again every day. Permanent checks by the staff and the cook whether all the food was sufficiently stored. Every day during the holidays, another buffet was offered. We had registered for dinner on Saturday and Sunday evening. All was abundant and everything was very delicious prepared. Also the after-food was very delicious. Thank you very much to the chef and his team. Overall we say it was a nice ping-pong weekend. Unfortunately too short. Thank you all. Our stay at the Regiohotel am Brocken was super! We arrived at the hotel on the evening, where we were also expected at the reception and were warmly welcomed. In the room there was nothing to defect, breakfast was also good. Only the parking situation around the hotel was a little nervous because there are no registered parking areas and some other hotel guests think that then you can park so generously that other guests can then get (may) place problems. But: Have all worked well at last :-) We're happy to come back and have felt good and safely lifted up there.

The small hotel has surprised us pleasantly. We had the smallest room (tornfalke). Very clean! There was a water cooker available, tea and two bottles of water were ready. Breakfast was very opulent. The staff is very friendly and welcome. The only small swelling was a bed that was quite noisy. We would always like to book here, because the price-performance ratio has certainly fit.

Das Hotel hat eine wunderschöne Aussicht und biete viel Platz um die Ruhe und das Grün und die Berge zu genießen. Wir sind sechs Nächte mit einem 12 Monate alten Baby hier gewesen und haben dazu ein Familien gebucht. Bis auf ein paar wenige Punkte waren wir sehr zufrieden :) - das Zimmer ist nicht Teil des Hauptgebäudes sondern liegt etwas dahinter in einem kleinen Bungalow mit drei Einheiten. Die versprochene Terrasse ist daher leider nicht besonders sonnig, sondern eher überwachsen und schattig. - es gibt weder einen kleinen Wasserkocher (zB für Babynahrung), noch einen mini Kühlschrank. Die Fenster in den Schlafzimmern lassen sich nicht abdunkeln. - Neues Klopapier oder eine Mülltüte gibt es leider nur auf explizite Nachfrage - aufgrund von Personalmangel gab es an zwei der Abende kein Essen, trotzdem wurden E-Mails mit entsprechenden Angeboten verschickt - erst am dritten Tag haben wir im eine Zimmerreinigung gebeten, leider wurde dabei weder unterm Bett noch in den Ecken des Badezimmers geputzt. Grade mit Kindern ist das aber wünschenswert. - die Steckdosen haben (im Familienzimmer!!!) keinen Schutz: selber mitbringen!! Uns hat jedoch gut gefallen, dass wir auf Anfrage sofort ein Babybett inklusive Bettwäsche und Bezügen bekommen konnten. Außerdem ist man im Restaurant sehr bemüht, es auch den Kleinen recht zu machen :) Wir würden wieder kommen, allerdings sollte man sich vorher genau überlegen, was für Ausflüge man machen möchte, denn von hier fährt man fast an alle touristisch interessanten Orte etwa 40min.

We stayed here as part of a group. The hotel was very busy with both regional and international companies. We were amazed by the size of the dining room which was expanded nightly via adjoining room partitions to accommodate the masses. Our room was large and comfy with a built-in luggage rack and plenty closet space. What is certainly weird, and maybe this is a German thing, but my husband loved the instant cappuccino packs provided in the room, but these were never refilled. In fact, our mugs were left dirty and we had to wash them ourselves. No milk or creamer are provided, so you've got to take a little jug from the restaurant. No coffee or tea supplies were refilled during our time. Others in our group had the same experience. The front office service was hit or miss and generally I found them more engrossed in their tasks like balancing their floats than to attend to customers'. A front office agent should be forward facing I feel at all times, as otherwise you're looking at the staff from the side and trying to get their attention. The buffet was quite good as we enjoyed breakfasts and lunches daily. I wish the fish was done in different styles but I liked the variety nightly for dinner and lots of vegetable options. The dessert could have been was more innovative than mousse, mousse and mousse in different flavours with icecream. Some bread pudding, proper cake, a trifle or creme caramel, meringue, etc. would have been welcomed, especially by the international guests. I mean even German desserts like Apple strudel, Lebkuchen, Plum cake or other regional sweet would have been nice. Location is halfway between the railway station and the center of town and the little red land train to the castle starts & stops just behind the hotel so this is very ideal. We enjoyed the bar in the evenings. The bartender Salvatore was a delightful character; friendly and efficient despite not speaking a word of English. We would definitely stay here on a future trip.
