Couldn't believe there was such a stylish hotel right in the popular Shantang Street scenic area. As soon as I walked in, I was drawn in by the unique design. The lobby was very spacious, and even more surprising was the complimentary minibar in the room, stocked with BaiSuiShan water, which was a nice touch. The hotel offers a free shuttle service to and from the station, which I didn't get to use since I drove, but parking was also free. That's a real rarity in the old city center where space is at a premium. The breakfast also had a great variety. Overall, a very satisfying trip.

An amazing experience all around! The entire staff were friendly and helpful! The scenery within the hotel is like something out of a historical novel! You can really tell that the owner put a lot of thought and love into the whole place. The rooms were also relaxing and clean! I really enjoyed the free daily afternoon tea~ The staircase to the 2nd floor was a bit steep but the staff helped carry all of my stuff upstairs! Most importantly, the location is supreme and within walking distance of the main attractions in the historical area. For instance, the hotel was within 8 minutes walking of the Governor’s Garden. If I’m in Suzhou again, I would stay here for sure! 10/10!

First off, the environment is absolutely beautiful, nestled in a corner of Taihu Lake. The room was clean, tidy, and spacious enough, offering stunning views right from the balcony. The hotel is embraced by lush trees, feeling just like being in a park.
The only minor letdown was the air conditioning on the day we left; it was a warmer day, and the AC just couldn't keep up. The room temperature was a sweltering 31 degrees Celsius! T_T
There was a good variety of breakfast options, and the food tasted great. I even got to try Wuxi Xiaolongbao – as someone from Shanghai, I found it very palatable and delicious! For dinner one night, we chose Jichang Xuxuan. We had crispy eels and two out of the three Taihu white dishes. The side of rice with vegetables was also very tasty; the greens were crisp yet cooked, and the rice was subtly flavored. The complimentary shrimp paste was excellent.
This hotel is highly suitable for families with elderly members and children. There's a kids' play area and a swimming pool on the first floor, and older guests can enjoy walks nearby. Overall, the experience was fantastic, from the reception staff to the restaurant servers – everyone was warm and attentive. Please, please improve the air conditioning facilities. If I have the chance, I would definitely choose Taihu Hotel again.

The front desk staff were very welcoming; they let me choose my own room during check-in and also granted a late check-out when I left. The hotel's location is perfect, right by Lao Dong Men, with plenty of food and shopping options nearby – I was very satisfied. My only minor complaint is a slight sewage smell in the bathroom.

First, the positives: The hotel's location is excellent. You can literally walk out of the metro station and be at the entrance in two minutes. The exterior design is also very clean and minimalist, which I found quite appealing. From the moment we walked in, the front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and efficient with the check-in process. They proactively helped us with our luggage and escorted us to our room, taking the time to explain all the facilities in detail. We also exchanged WeChat contacts, making communication very easy, and they gave us great recommendations for dining and local attractions. The room was quite clean, and the attention to detail was impressive. The projector was super clear, and best of all, it came with free VIP access to movies, which was a huge bonus. The only downsides were that the hotel doesn't offer breakfast and the room size was a little on the small side. However, the staff did explain that this was due to building restrictions in the old city area.

Wandered into Huai'an during the Chinese New Year and chose this hotel for a short stay. Coincidentally, the Xiaohu Spring Festival Lantern Fair was right across the street. Chloe at the front desk handled my check-in quickly and with a friendly attitude. The entire experience was perfect, and I just have to give it high praise! The room was clean, elegant, and spotless. The bedding was simple, soft, and completely odorless. The bathroom had a practical wet/dry separation, and the toiletries were complete and exquisite, showcasing quality in every detail. The room facilities were comprehensive, and the air conditioning maintained a comfortable temperature. The hotel isn't far from the major scenic spots, with some even within walking distance. The breakfast variety and taste were decent. I'll definitely consider staying here again next time.

I booked this place after seeing the great reviews on Trip.com, and it really lived up to them. It's super close to the ancient town's archway ticket gate, so it was quite easy to find after getting dropped off by taxi. The soundproofing is excellent; it was very quiet at night, and I slept really well. The room was also very spacious, and it was lovely to relax on the small balcony in the afternoon with some tea and sunshine. The owners, a couple, were incredibly kind. They helped us with our luggage both when we arrived and when we left, and even gave me a bag of local specialties. Their dog is adorable too! I highly recommend staying here when you visit Zhouzhuang.

This homestay left a deep impression on me. The environment is clean and tidy, the room is spotless, and the stay is very safe. There is an elegant teahouse in the public area, and there is a small tea in the afternoon, which has a special flavor. The boss is particularly enthusiastic, not only taking the initiative to help parking, but also enthusiastically introducing the surrounding attractions, so that the journey feels warm. The overall experience far exceeds expectations and is a recommended choice for staying.

This is a great Republic of China-era hotel, tucked away in a quiet spot yet still central. The courtyard is very unique, and the hotel's location is excellent. It's about 800 meters from popular attractions like Geyuan Garden, Heyuan Garden, Dongguan Street, Pishi Street, Dongguan Ancient Ferry, and Xing Street – all within easy reach. There are also plenty of dining options; the famous Erchun Fried Rice is right next door, and old brands like Fuchun Teahouse, Maopailou, and Gonghechun are all nearby. It's incredibly convenient for an after-dinner stroll. The service is excellent, and the rooms are clean and hygienic. Located at the entrance of a small alley, it's wonderfully peaceful and beautiful. If time permits, brewing a pot of tea and sitting in the courtyard to soak in the 'slow Yangzhou' vibe would be truly delightful!

The hotel environment is fantastic. It's a century-old architectural complex with ancient trees towering in the courtyard, making it very pleasant. The room window offers a picturesque view of a tree, exuding a charming Jiangnan (Southern China) aesthetic. While the room decor isn't brand new, it's clean and comfortable, and opening the window allows for good ventilation, so there are no strange odors. The bed and pillows are also quite comfortable. The service was excellent; the hotel provided a complimentary breakfast and a small gift. They even extended my check-out time due to an unexpected issue when I was leaving. The only downside is that the rooms aren't very soundproof. I'm not sure if it was guests from another room chatting, but I could constantly hear them talking, which was a bit noisy. Occasionally, I would also hear water flowing through the pipes at night. However, overall, my stay was very enjoyable, and it would still be my top choice if I visit Suzhou again.

GGuest UserI always choose to stay here whenever I'm in Wuxi, and it's consistently a fantastic experience. The front desk service is excellent and attentive, the rooms are spotlessly clean, and the facilities are well-equipped. This is my absolute go-to for accommodation in Wuxi! Highly recommend!
GGuest UserThis is my dream hotel! I absolutely love the decor, which is a beautiful, traditional Jiangnan style with little bridges and flowing water. The room was spotless and tidy. Every staff member we encountered greeted us warmly, and the service was truly exceptional. When we arrived with two suitcases, a staff member immediately helped us to the hotel. They also gave us excellent, reliable recommendations for food and attractions.
Breakfast: The breakfast toppings and side dishes changed daily, which was great. At first, I worried that having noodles every day would get boring, but I ended up loving it!
The best part for families with young children is that strollers are available for free (with a refundable deposit). It's incredibly family-friendly. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Suzhou.

AAnonymous UserOur stay at this Suzhou apartment was nothing short of perfect! As first-time visitors, we were blown away by the incredible value. The location is great, just a quick 5-minute walk from the MRT, which made exploring the entire city effortless.
The apartment itself was exactly as described: spotlessly clean, surprisingly spacious, and equipped with everything we needed. The highlight for us was the big projector screen; winding down each night with Chinese dramas was a unique and fun experience. Having a washer and dryer in the unit was also a huge convenience, allowing us to pack light.
The true standout was our host. She was exceptionally helpful, providing a personal recommendations. Their tips truly made our trip special.
We felt so at home and will 100% be recommending this gem to all our friends. Don’t hesitate—book this place for a seamless and memorable Suzhou adventure
BBobby_LeslieThis was an incredibly satisfying and surprisingly good trip! After I made the booking, the owner called to give me directions to the free parking lot. Once I arrived, an electric cart quickly picked me up and took me to the hotel. The hotel itself rivals a five-star garden resort – it's clean, tidy, and has a comfortable temperature.
They upgraded our rooms and placed them together, which was convenient for visiting each other. The rooms were very spacious, with separate wet and dry areas, and impeccably clean with a cozy atmosphere.
The family room had two extra-large beds, a bathtub, and an open-air balcony perfect for enjoying tea, the view, and conversations.
Ordering takeout in the evening was also very convenient, with delivery directly to the hotel. The hotel also has its own restaurant within the ancient town, offering discounts to guests. The restaurant's ambiance is excellent, the dishes are visually appealing, taste great, and the set menus offer fantastic value for money.
When checking out, I just sent a WeChat message to the owner, and an electric cart was immediately arranged to take us back to the parking lot. The entire stay was absolutely perfect! The owner also has a super cute Corgi. The next time I visit Zhouzhuang, I'll definitely choose Mulan again.
MM49795****The door lock of the original room was a bit problematic, and the boss directly changed us to a more spacious one. Since it is an ancient building renovation, the facilities will be relatively old.
The location is super good, just turn a corner to Dongguan Street Food Street, parking in Dongguan Street ground parking lot is very convenient!
The service is also super good, the price of 200+ is free hot springs, drink coupons, and Hanfu photo experience. Not only is pet-friendly and free cleaning fee, but also free medical examination for pets is provided. But because of the conflict of time schedule, we finally experienced hot springs. Since the hot spring is experienced in another homestay (more than 600 meters away), the boss also borrowed the battery car from us, which was too touching. All in all, it is a great value experience.
LLucie PikeI don’t think I could ever give this hotel enough praise. The rooms were beautiful as was the location and scenery. Cleanliness was a 10 out of 10, but what especially amazed me was how friendly and diligent the staff were. They were so kind, offering me free fruit and other snacks. One staff member gave me restaurant recommendations. I plan on staying here again in the future and would recommend it to any solo travelers or couples looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway.
