Service: 10/10
What an amazing stay here at the Intercontinental, stayed here for 4 nights in the Deluxe King room.
Arrived and checked in late at 12AM, the staff were pleasant and respectful, quick and got me settled in.
The staff were very attentive and service just impeccable - consistent in greetings at each turn and always double even triple checking if you require and help.
Room: 8/10
The rooms are clean, and cleaned on a daily. The cleaning lady was incredibly attentive, on the first night I asked for more water as the room only came with two, consistently day after day they left 4 bottles for me which was really appreciated on my part - it’s a minor thing but it really elevates the experience.
Room is quiet, can’t hear a thing from the opposite rooms. Occasionally there are some sounds from the door but it’s really unnoticeable.
Shower; the only reason why i didn’t give it full marks. Maybe it’s personal preference but the water does not seem to get hot enough, the water pressure on the shower head seems a bit lacking. Nevertheless though, don’t let that deter you from booking as it’s still an overall great stay.
Tub; no complaints, water runs hot, what better way to relax and kick back after a day of being a tourist and walking 20k.
Location: 10/10
I think this one is completely subjective to personal preference. The location is in the midst of white collar working towers so there is quite a bit of traffic. There is a subway station close by as well -though I never used it as I took a Didi 100% of the time.
A mall is nearby within walking distance but again didn’t go. Most commutes by didi take 20-30 minutes due to the traffic but honestly looking at the Westin or other hotels in prime tourist locations (ex. Pagoda , bell tower etc) there is sooo much traffic and noise as they have so many different activities happening there. For me this location have me back some silence after a long day out.
Atmosphere: 10/10
The hotel is beautifully decorated, cleaned throughout. Jo Malone fragrances in every elevator. It was such a relaxing atmosphere to be in.
Breakfast: 10/10
If you can, give the breakfast a try. There’s a huge variety of Xi’an delectables you can try, from the roujiamo, liangpi etc that are available plus a mixture of western food. The staff I must commend once more are incredibly attentive and always try to make your experience better.
Final thoughts - highly recommend the intercontinental Xi’an for your next stay. I truly enjoyed it and would recommend it for those coming for a 5 star experience!
GGuest UserThe Garden View Terrace with Bath King Room is absolutely stunning! As soon as you open the door, you're greeted by a breathtaking garden landscape, surrounded by lush greenery, offering incredible privacy. Sitting on the terrace or enjoying a dip in the private pool, you're immersed in the beauty of a tranquil and healing Chinese garden. The private bath adds such a special touch. The courtyard views are picturesque, with something beautiful to see at every turn, peaceful and serene – perfect for photos, and a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle. The room is elegant and spotless, with soft and comfortable bedding. It’s perfect for some quiet me-time, enjoying a bath while admiring the garden view. It truly offers a full, immersive holiday experience. A perfect stay!
AAlelisI had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Xi’an. The room was excellent: spacious, modern, very comfortable, and extremely clean. Housekeeping did a great job every day, and the overall cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable.
The location is perfect, directly in front of the metro station and just across from the famous Bell Tower, which makes it very convenient for exploring the city.
The Muslim Quarter is also only a short walk away, full of amazing local food and atmosphere.
Another highlight was the staff: everyone was very kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Xi’an for its comfort, cleanliness, outstanding location, and friendly service.
CChumenxiuxingThe location is truly unbeatable! It's super convenient to get to any attraction. The hotel is right by Exit B of Longshouyuan Station on Line 2. It's only 3 stops to the Bell Tower. If you want to visit Daxingshan Temple, SEG Shopping Center, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, and Datang Everbright City, just take the subway to Xiaozhai. Xi'an North High-Speed Rail Station is only 6-7 stops away. In short, the transportation is simply unmatched. We even cycled from the hotel entrance to the City Wall, which took just over 10 minutes.
As for the service, they add you on WeChat, and a butler checks in daily to ask about your stay and if you need anything added to your room.
There's Longshouyuan Night Market and Chang'an Food Stall right opposite the hotel. You don't have to queue at other attractions; we just came back to eat at this place opposite the hotel after sightseeing.
There's a Terracotta Warriors shuttle bus right outside Chang'an Food Stall. It runs every half an hour and costs 30 yuan per person.
For a trip to Xi'an, this hotel really wins on location!
Mmori02Transportation to/from Huashan North Station/Bus Station: Self-drive
Facilities: The facilities are quite complete, mainly for an overnight stay before climbing Huashan.
Hygiene: From what I could see, it was quite clean.
Environment: I recommend booking the penthouse unit; the mountain view is unbeatable. The downside is a bit less privacy, as guests from downstairs can come up.
Service: I rarely stay in B&Bs, so I didn't have high expectations. The owner is very enthusiastic, and the core competitiveness of this place isn't the facilities, mountain views, or even the dining... The owner has a strong network and is very flexible in business. Thanks to him, my trip to Huashan went smoothly. Many thanks to the owner, and I wish him a prosperous business!
RROBIN.SWe loved our stay at the Heonic Hotel and suits. The cat motif and cat playroom in the lobby was a hit with our teen and an adult missing her fur babies at home. Clean tidy rooms, attentive staff, cool AC in room, lots of hot water in shower and a bidet in toliet. Room with two double beds, although on the smaller side, it was very comfortable. Within walking distance of the city wall and accessible by Didi to other attractions.
GGuest UserFacilities: Quite new.
Cleanliness: Clean.
I requested a quiet room and it was genuinely very quiet, which was great! 😄😄😄 We were visiting Xi'an, and the hotel's location is relatively close to the Bell Tower and Drum Tower, making it convenient to go to Zhonglou Residential Quarter for food. You can also arrange airport transfers through the hotel, and there are shared bikes available not far from the entrance. It's also quite close to the subway station, so getting around is very convenient. Overall, it's a good place.
GGuest UserA truly perfect stay from start to finish, absolutely nothing to complain about. The hotel was easy to find, with plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options nearby. The front desk staff were warm, attentive, and efficient, making communication a pleasure. Our room was spotless, free of any unpleasant odors, and surprisingly spacious. The decor was simple yet stylish, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The mattress and pillows were incredibly comfortable, and the provided toiletries were comprehensive. The separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom were very convenient. Overall, the hotel is well-managed, with friendly and responsive staff. The ambiance is clean and elegant, making for a relaxing and reassuring stay. It's perfectly suited for both short trips and longer visits, and the value for money is absolutely incredible. I wholeheartedly recommend it; it's definitely worth five stars!
YYufengxuThe location is convenient with plenty of food options nearby, and it's close to all the attractions. The service was warm and attentive. However, the breakfast was just okay, and some facilities need updating, especially the faucet which needs replacing. Also, we weren't informed about the exterior window cleaning, and suddenly seeing two people hanging outside our window was quite a fright, almost gave me a heart attack!
VValarie474The location alone makes this place worth booking -- walkable to nearly everything, which is rare and genuinely valuable
The room had a few surprises compared to the listing photos, including carpet rather than the hard floors shown, and a smaller window than expected. For guests with sensitivities, worth noting ahead of time. The room ran a little dark, but the quiet of a high floor at the end of the hall more than made up for it.
Bathroom is functional with standard toiletries. Would love to see better ventilation and a bidet added in a future update -- we are in Asia after all.
Wi-Fi was inconsistent during my stay, which was the one real frustration.
The wins were real though: guest-controlled AC (a genuine rarity in China), a comfortable bed, impressively soft towels, linen slippers, a proper tea set, and an air purifier. As an English-speaking guest I appreciated the card with key hotel information in English and the one English news channel -- small gestures that meant a lot after weeks without hearing the language.
The Blue Mountain instant coffee was a welcome touch. Housekeeping leaves a daily note with who cleaned and the next day's weather -- small detail, big impression. My housekeeper was especially warm during a stretch when I wasn't feeling well.
The front desk and reception staff were consistently kind throughout my stay. Solid stay with a location that's hard to beat.
GGuest UserThe hotel was in the perfect location the Muslim quarter was a 10-15 minute walk away and there is restaurants and convenience stores right outside as well so there is literally so many options.
The room was clean and spacious.
The hotel provided breakfast at the restaurant next door which I found to be ok - only issue was that they had toast but no butter or jam to go with it only ketchup.
They don’t have the air con on during winter time but they did provide a portable air con for us although the gesture was nice it didn’t do much to cool the room. So just be aware although it is advertised as there being an aircon it’s only available for hot air during winter
