Stayed here for 2 nights, but in two different rooms, so I got to experience both.
Overall, the hotel has a great view and a generally comfortable stay. It is a bit far from most main attractions, although it is relatively close to the railway station. There is a nearby bus station (Line 6), but getting to the Ancient Town and other popular areas is still quite far, so using Didi is often the easier option. The lobby also provides tea, coffee, and water, which is a nice touch.
My first room was on the 2nd floor and felt very modern and new. The bed was especially comfortable, and everything felt fresh and well-designed — I really liked this room.
My second room was on the 5th floor, and there is no lift in the building, so carrying luggage up the stairs can be quite tiring. The staff kindly helped me, which I really appreciated, especially since it was quite a lot of effort. This room had a nice view, but it felt a bit older compared to the first one, especially the bathroom.
If I had to choose, I personally preferred the first room for its newer feel and comfort, but both stays were still pleasant in different ways.

100% satisfied! This was by far the most comfortable and enjoyable hotel we stayed at during our trip! First off, the location at the foot of Cangshan Mountain is very quiet and close to the ancient city. Secondly, the rooms are fully equipped with smart features, and the bedding is incredibly comfortable. Every detail shows the hotel's care and dedication. The cleanliness is excellent, incredibly spotless, and they even pre-set the shower water to a constant 38 degrees. They even subscribed to TV memberships, which really shows their thoughtfulness. What was most heartwarming was the attitude of the staff; from the moment we arrived, everyone at the hotel was incredibly friendly, making us feel right at home. We received a welcome fruit platter and freshly baked flower cakes upon check-in. Every day, they'd ask if we'd like a sweet soup before bed. They also chatted with us and gave recommendations for places to visit. There was even some good Pu'er tea in the room. It truly felt like coming home! I also loved the two Shiba Inus! I genuinely recommend this place! From now on, whenever I'm in Dali, I'll only stay here!

Stepping into Sangzhu is like walking directly into a beautifully preserved piece of history. Once the grand home of a local ******* chieftain, this boutique property masterfully balances its rich heritage with modern luxury. The aesthetically pleasing traditional architecture captures your eye immediately, featuring intricate wooden carvings, massive pillars, and a striking, sky-lit central atrium that reflects the soul of the region.
The guest experience is equally magnificent, especially when staying in the Baima Secret Lotus Private Hot Spring Suite. The room is incredibly spacious, anchored by a plush bed, but the true highlight is the private, in-room hot spring. Soaking in the warm, mineral-rich waters after a day of exploring is pure bliss. Located strategically at the fringe of Dukezong ancient town, vehicles can stop right at its entrance where the friendly staff would welcome hotel guests and assist with the luggage.
What further elevates Sangzhu is its exceptionally thoughtful hospitality. Guests are treated to a complimentary afternoon tea. The care extends well into the evening; before bed, staff discreetly deliver a comforting late-night snack accompanied by warm milk right to your room. It is a rare gem where historic grandeur, architectural beauty, and deeply personal service come together to create an unforgettable stay.

A wonderful stay! The room was absolutely gorgeous and well-designed. I was deeply impressed by the staff, who went above and beyond to help us. Best of all, it’s located very close to the high-speed train station, making our transit seamless and convenient. Would definitely come back!

This is a lovely beachfront B&B with a great ambiance. Upon check-in, they offer afternoon tea and a travel photography service. Both the breakfast and afternoon tea are quite exquisite. There's a garden swing photo spot right next to the dining area! It's perfect for photos, and it's exclusively for guests, so you don't have to queue like at popular网红 spots. In the evening, after you've been out, the room butler even brings a sweet late-night soup. The service all around is very thoughtful. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Dali.

On my first day in Dali, I checked into the Yueshanhai Hotel, nestled in the mountains near the ancient city. With a gentle drizzle and fresh air, a stroll through the garden was utterly delightful.
The hotel boasts excellent facilities, including a swimming pool, gym, restaurant, cafe, bar, book bar, and even billiards. On the third floor of Building 1, you'll find the Akashima Seaview Bar and the Seaview Book Bar, offering stunning views of the mountains and Erhai Lake. Don't forget to wake up early to catch the sunrise!
The guest rooms are spacious and bright, with comfortable bedding. The Herbal toiletries and bathtub for a relaxing soak after a long day of exploring are absolutely wonderful!
Breakfast, served on the first floor of Building 2 at the Baini Restaurant, offers a rich variety of Chinese and Western options. The rice noodles with braised pork and Weishan stewed pork are incredibly fragrant and delicious!

I booked this guesthouse randomly for my trip, and it totally exceeded my expectations! The location is absolutely unbeatable – just a few minutes' walk to the scenic area entrance. There are restaurants and convenience stores nearby, making dining and shopping incredibly easy. The room was meticulously cleaned; the floors, windowsills, and even the bathroom grout were spotless. The bedding was fluffy and pristine, with no dust or odd smells. All the appliances and furniture inside looked quite new. The air conditioning and toiletries were well-stocked, and it had all the amenities you'd need for a comfortable stay. The host was very kind, provided detailed check-in instructions, and patiently guided me when I couldn't find the place. Any requests I had during my stay were promptly addressed. The environment is quiet and pleasant, and it offers excellent value for money. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit.
This hotel offers an exceptional sea view! Located in Dali Golden Coast Manor, it boasts an unobstructed, first-row view with 270° floor-to-ceiling windows and a sea-view balcony. You can lie in bed and admire the Cangshan mountains and Erhai lake, enjoying both sunrise and sunset.
The design is very stylish and picture-perfect, with an aerial garden and glass observation deck that make it easy to snap Instagram-worthy photos.
The hardware quality is top-notch: a smart home system throughout (voice-controlled lights/curtains), smart toilets, thermostatic showers, and other intelligent features.
The service is attentive, including a complimentary breakfast for two, coffee, tea, a chess and card room, music room, and fully equipped fitness room.
It's quiet and private, situated in a villa area with few people, offering excellent privacy – perfect for unwinding. This is my second stay at the hotel!
Their service is incredible and the hotel is very clean. Staff were friendly and really helpful, thanks to them for offering a suitable solution for my sick friend who needed more rest.
We didn’t get the time to walk around the hotel, so the pictures I took were mainly the surrounding area which was beautiful. (Didn’t expect to see so many 蓝花 still at the end of May)
As for the room, it was big and spacious. First picture is view, last picture was when we were stargazing. The only things to note is that there isn’t really a place for clothes in the shower area, only a small place to hold shower bottles.
Another would be the need to plug the insect repellent to the switch upon entering the room. We were oblivious at first so there were many mosquitoes in the common area, and thankfully none in the other room.
Finally a tip, you can ask them to transport you to 理想邦 and there is also a discount.
Overall, we had a lovely stay thanks to the hotel’s hospitality☺️
Choosing Yan Yun Hotel was absolutely the best decision for my trip to Dali. My only regret is that I only booked one night and had to leave so soon. The environment here is absolutely stunning, and the service is top-notch. The breakfast was delicious, and they even offered a complimentary afternoon tea set. The staff were incredibly warm and helpful. They also provide electric shuttle service for getting in and out. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Dali!

AAnonymous UserThe weather was great during my visit, and the sunshine made everything beautiful. The butler service was also good, and the hot springs were quite enjoyable, though it was a bit hard to fill the tub. The accompanying refreshments were ordinary, and breakfast was simple, not a buffet.
What I'd really like to see improved is the photo package: 4 unedited photos per room felt a bit stingy. When I went to a hotel in Guilin, they offered 5 edited photos per person, and it's a shame here that you can't even pay extra for edited photos.
What left the deepest impression was the balcony door. The hotel acknowledged a design flaw where you can only close either the screen door or the glass door. The unclosed door would bang loudly in the wind, so we had to wedge a chair against it to avoid being disturbed while sleeping.
TTianeryaoquwanBecause I like the environment very much, I came here for one night. I like it very much. The girl at the door will help with the luggage. There are welcome fruits. I saw us back at night and sent warm milk. The breakfast was quite exquisite. I lived in Fuxian Lake for a happy night.
Of course, as a 19-year-old homestay, the whole is still a bit old, but the impact is not big, the bedding is comfortable, the supplies are of better quality, that is, the sound insulation is relatively poor, the next door is the parent-child room, when they sleep in the afternoon, they just stay in, especially noisy.
It's a pity that the two days I went were rainy days, the sun came out for a while, but not enough, the sky was gray.
GGuest UserGood value for money. Close to Hilton. It's very pleasant to sit on the balcony and watch the sunset. Because it's a hotel apartment, there is also an induction cooker. If you live here for a long time, it can meet simple living needs. The housekeeper is good and responds promptly.
--wuti-The room is OK, facing Fuxian Lake, it's beautiful, but the wind is too strong. It belongs to the villa area reconstruction. I didn't notice when booking the room that the balcony faces the mountain, which is a bit depressing. It's too noisy at night next to the corridor door, and the external stairs are made of iron plates. The breakfast is the worst I've seen in the same level of hotel. The staple food is rice noodles, small steamed buns, and one egg per person😓. There is no hot dish. Friends who like to eat pickled garlic and boiled peanuts for breakfast can enjoy it😓.
GGuest UserThe facilities are very good, the hygiene and service are very good, the photos are especially good, the afternoon tea and breakfast are very delicious, the sky mirror on the third floor is very beautiful for taking photos, and the hotel also thoughtfully provides dresses for taking photos. It is worth staying again.
