The hotel is obviously old, the facilities are old, but the room is still spacious. Breakfast is very ordinary American, but if you want to eat better, you can choose the next Ihop.
The old hotel is estimated to be a very small and comfortable hotel. The lobby, facade and room layout are all light and luxurious, but the bathroom is like forgetting to decorate, it is completely inconsistent with the room style, a bit off the chain.

The hotel was nice overall, they were very short staffed. The room had spiders everywhere. We did not have an ice bucket or a blow dryer in the room although some of the other guests did. I was there getting ready for my wedding day and they did allow us to check out late and they were very friendly! We were disappointed because of the pool being closed and us not being notified, this was half of the reason we booked the hotel because we wanted kids to have something to do while we were getting ready for the wedding. Breakfast was great! The front desk staff was very friendly!
Breakfast was great. We had a little maintenance issue with the room but the maintenance staff came right up to resolve our issue. Front desk girl was very professional and courteous. She was on the phone with what sounded like a previous guest who was clearly complaining about something regarding the sales tax and a reservation with the previous private owner prior to Quality Inn taking over. She handled herself very well, calm professional and respectful even though the person on the other end of the line was not reciprocating those same qualities. She got off the phone and helped me with a great smile and very attentive to my questions. Great job!!
The location of this hotel is very good, there are McDonald's, Wendy's... fast food around 200 meters, and there are many shops next to it. The room is a standard holiday hotel configuration and very clean. Parking is free, breakfast is a buffet method, the only regret is that the breakfast time is less than 9:30, there is no egg bread. Need to ask for it separately with the waiter

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is located on the beautiful seaside, with a private pier and a seaside trail. The breakfast is very rich and delicious. The scenery of the restaurant is also very good. The parking is convenient. The bed is large. It is very suitable for family and friends to vacation.
GGuest UserVery clean, accommodating staff. If I could suggest anything, it would be that they would explain when asked about being pet friendly that they don’t allow pets to stay in the room while you’re not there and charge a $250 fine if you leave the room. We were confused because in other hotels that we stayed, we were allowed to leave the dogs. This makes it rather difficult when you arrive at the location and you’re an hour and a half away from your house that you have to now find a dog sitter or a dog daycare while you go out of your hotel room to me it defeats the purpose because I know I would’ve left them with the dog sitter at home either that or they clarify their stance on such issues like “do you have a dog here well as long as he stays quiet, it’s OK“ something to that effect.
GGuest UserIt was an average stay hotel was clean and Everything was in order and working , My room was clean the bathrooms are a little small but overall clean for the most part and friendly. My daughter love the pool. But that's always the selling point for the kids. And I like to check out is at noon later than the other hotels in the area.
JJonathan LiemGood: Affordable relative to other hotels, nice/spacious room, complimentary water and coffee during select times of day, nice lounge with games and pool table to hang out at night, room and lobby were clean upon arrival.
Not so good: Front desk staff had a mix of friendly and not-as-friendly people - the guy at the night shift was not very welcoming when I checked in. The hallway in the 6th floor smelled strongly of carpet shampoo; it was unpleasant to walk through. Bedsheets were a bit rough (low thread count I presume).

YYuanquanVery conveniently located in Acadia National Park. It is very clean, roomy, and modern. Plus it only has one floor, which makes stay more quiet. I have been staying in better known chains like Marriott, and this experience changed my prejudices for motels.
GGuest UserOld and not maintained (spiderwebs all over the lawns in between the various buildings; our room came ‘equipped’ with a leftover flosser and socks on the floor from the previous occupants, sink was clogged, ancient air conditioning unit). They did say they have a pool, access to kayaks, paddleboards and whatnot, we only stayed one night and it rained so we didn’t use any of it. By the water so a bit of a view. Will do the job in a pinch (given that there are only 2 hotels in Southport, not a lot of options to choose from; would definitely recommend Newagen over this one or choose something in Boothbay).
GGuest UserRoom has very well equipped kitchenette although i did not cook. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast was scrambled egg with muffin, fresh fruits, waffle, cupcakes, cookies. Cereals, oat and milk Hotel is about 40min from Acadia and we had good dinner in Governor's
KKathleen TrudelThis one has seen better days. A lot of maintenance issues that had gone unreported for a long time. Shower/bathtub would not drain at all. Washbasin was very slow. AC filter was in need of a good cleaning. A side door is supposed to be locked from the inside but stayed open and unsecured all night. This was just as expensive as a really well maintained Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Freeport. Your dog is welcome but it will cost you a 15$ fee. The breakfast was good and had options for a take out box. Location seemed very odd, and seems far from Bangor proper.
MMissThe older gentleman working at night is quite rude with his demeanour and gestures saying “good lord” in absolute disgust to us upon arrival. We weren’t the only ones offended by him while talking to other guests. I will definitely return as we loved the daytime staff and atmosphere other then his unfriendly welcome. Customer service is definitely not his high point. We all have bad days so I’ll give this place another chance since everyone and everything was perfect other than that.
