2-Star Hotels in Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan

The room is big with all the amenities. Our room is facing the sea, we were able to see the sun rise, super gorgeous! The onsen is also great, free for us, and it is open to the public with surcharge. The hostel location is 10/10, close to the Aoshima island, and there is a big park nearby! We enjoyed our stay.

The location was good, close to Takachiho Gorge. The room was clean and comfortable, but there were many small insects. The food was just okay. I had requested special dietary accommodations in advance, but they weren't reflected at all. People with allergies should be cautious. When I contacted them about possibly being late for check-in due to a flight delay, the owner's response was a blunt 'that's not possible.' As someone in the service industry, I found that reply questionable. I believe there could have been a more polite way to say it. It was unpleasant. Many of the staff are foreign, and while I appreciate their effort, communication in Japanese was difficult. The amenities, like toothbrushes, were plentiful. There was also a drink bar with bottled tea and alcohol. They even provided chairs and cushions specifically for Kagura performances. The hairdryer and iron were from ReFa, but the hairdryer was small and noisy, hurting my ears. The iron was too small to be useful. However, some might find the amenities and facilities satisfactory. I didn't use the public bath, but apparently, it's not a hot spring and isn't very large. My friend who went with me said it was just right for about three people.

Small budget room with no big expectations but it served its purpose well. Paid parking is available on-site which was convenient for us. Overall a decent stay for a short trip or if you’re just looking for an affordable place to rest.

Perfect for Families - Spacious and Comfortable! We stayed in the residence-type room and it was perfect for our family trip. The room was very big, giving everyone plenty of space, and it felt more like an apartment than a standard hotel room. It was clean, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Mango Hotel for families looking for a spacious and convenient place to stay. Used automated check in and out service hence can’t realky review the service.

The hotel is much better than it looks in the photos. The main disadvantage is that the staff does not speak English at all (but this is the case throughout Hyuga). There is a laundry, a kitchen, the rooms are new and clean. It is a bit far from the central Hyugashi station (about 35 minutes on foot). However, there is a natural park and a beach nearby (we chose it because of this). The city itself is very beautiful, with stunning nature. The hotel has an option to take breakfast and dinner in the price of the stay (decent portions)

Traveling to Miyazaki by yourself I lost my passport. Amazing view and quiet. Super clean and well managed. Feels like camping with a real bed. Or a retreat. Bathroom is shared but extremely clean. I thought it would be more noisy on weekends but surprisingly it wasn't. If you are walking it's an hour away from the JR station. Food options are rare closeby, but you can use a fridge and microwave.

The hotel is located on the side of the Miyazaki Inner Sea. It takes a few turns along the path. It is not easy to find the first time. But when I entered the hotel, I felt that I didn't choose the wrong one, so I renewed the reservation for one night and was generally satisfied. The scenery and air quality are excellent, I like it very much.
