Mixed feeling about this … it’s a walk from the jr station in the center of the red light district, cheap accommodation, no big deal … but first room the WiFi signal was bad, staff was helpful and changed to another room, again later on the WiFi was not useable, surely the manager knows about it , was planning to stay extra nights but was not possible, next morning manager rely the apologies and room fee was refunded
Nice Japanese breakfast. Strategic location to get around Gokayama and Shirakawa. In front of the hotel is the biggest Gassho style house in Japan that has a long history of being owned by samurais and where the emporia family had visited many times and is considered a cultural heritage of Japan.. I would go back to this hotel because of its location.
Located in the old town, very close to the Toyama City Office, only a few steps away from the Sakura Trail along the Songchuan coast, you can walk to the city park, the county people's assembly hall, or you can walk to the total Qulun Dahe Department Store, Glass Art Museum and Library. The interior of the hotel is clean and tidy, feels comfortable, and the front desk is very friendly. Very good impression of the hotel.
The service is very good, the proprietress is Taiwanese, helping us a lot, but the room facilities are old, the room is dark, the public bath is small, and it is better to soak in your own room.
The hotel has a good location, about a ten-minute walk from Toyama Station, though the entrance is a bit hard to find. The room facilities are somewhat old and not very soundproof, resulting in a mediocre experience. The breakfast is average, and it doesn't feel like good value for money for a weekend stay.
The road from Takaoka station to the hotel is dark and a little difficult to understand.
When I requested that I change to a non-smoking room if there was a vacancy at the time of the reservation, there was a vacancy on the day and I changed it.
The receptionist was more polite.
The hotel is not a card key but a key type and feels a bit old, but the minimum is available and I didn't feel particularly inconvenient.
Nice place with free parking. Very nice and helpful staff. Dinner and breakfast are nice with full of Japanese culture. Very comfortable hot spring.
Honestly, it’s a bit old but they keep it very clean and nice. Really happy to be here.
The accommodation isn't far from the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route (about 30 minutes away) and is quite affordable. The room is larger than typical Japanese rooms, newly built, modern, and free from any musty smells. Free parking is available right outside the room. The soundproofing in the room is excellent; I couldn't hear anyone else. There's a mountain view in the background. Check-in with the staff was smooth and the service was good. I received a coupon for a free frozen meal. The room has a microwave, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a kettle, a hairdryer, an air purifier, a lamp, and WiFi. In the common area, there's a coin-operated water dispenser and a washing machine. Across the street is a gas station, and diagonally opposite is a 24-hour MaxValue convenience store where many items are much cheaper (e.g., mineral water for less than 100 yen).
SSam MTVery well located - just across the road from Midagahara bus stop. Simple but clean and comfortable room. Very helpful staff who made us feel at home. Public bath was a big plus after a long day of trekking. Price is reasonable for the facilities and service Highly recommended.

UUMAPORNI had a truly memorable stay at this hotel. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the staff were incredibly attentive and kind throughout my visit. The overall atmosphere gave off a wonderfully authentic Japanese vibe, which made the experience even more special. One of the highlights was the delicious traditional Japanese breakfast — beautifully prepared and full of flavor. What impressed me most was how the hotel made me feel so comfortable and welcome, almost like I was staying at a relative’s home in Japan. It’s a place I would wholeheartedly recommend, and I would love to return again in the future.

Ssy8888First time trying glamping and totally new accommodation! This resort is by the beach and includes sumptuous bbq dinner! Good for 4 people with individual bed in room with all amenities except tv which is totally fine. It also has onsen tickets to nearby hot spring which is great!! Highly recommend when in Toyama if you drive!
Very good service and friendliness by host! 👍👍
GGuest UserFirst time to experienced Japanese style ryokan and it's wonderful.
I like the place, very near the train station and to my intended tourist spot.
I really liked their Japanese style breakfast, It was so good and healthy.
The owner both the mother and son can speak english and very accomodating, helpful and very nice.
I will come back to this place if given a chance.
