Absolutely loved the vibe at Songzhu Inn! Waking up to the sun and the scent of flowers in the morning, then chatting and enjoying the breeze in the courtyard in the evening – this is exactly how Lijiang should be. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, offering incredible value for money. The soft furnishings were thoughtfully chosen, making it feel cozy and therapeutic. The service was attentive without being intrusive; they struck the perfect balance of care, which made my trip incredibly comfortable and enjoyable.

I was about to take a shower and put my pajamas on the bed when I suddenly noticed these crumbs on the sheets. I immediately called the front desk and asked housekeeping to change them. I just wanted a clean sheet, but the customer service staff who came in immediately questioned us, saying, 'How come you didn't see this when you first entered the room?' We explained that we checked in around 6 PM, dropped off our luggage, and then went out for dinner. We just got back from dinner and were about to shower and sleep because we had an early flight the next morning, when we discovered this. I pointed out that besides the crumbs, there wasn't a single mark on the bed, indicating we hadn't even touched it. But the staff kept muttering, as if implying we put them there ourselves. It was such a simple thing, just to change the sheets. We weren't even looking to complain; we were only staying one night. It really ruined my mood.

When I booked, I specifically requested a quiet room, but the location they gave us was simply unbelievable. The room service staff were very good, I'll give them that, but it was so noisy. The soundproofing is truly terrible. I'm not talking about airplanes flying overhead; it's the constant noise from the hallway that's too loud, like a sports meet is happening right outside! It was supposed to be a family room, but there was no kids' club access, no app, and no screen mirroring! The bed was indeed comfortable, but what's going on with the air conditioning? When we first arrived, it was set to cool, but in the middle of the night, we woke up sweating because it was blowing hot air? Did you randomly adjust it for us? We couldn't even control it ourselves. The smart assistant just kept saying 'I'm here' but couldn't adjust the AC or open the curtains! Is this really a smart room? Only the cleanliness and bed comfort were somewhat satisfactory. The BBQ downstairs was both expensive and terrible!

Got a free room upgrade booking through Trip.com and the room ambiance and facilities were wonderful. The staff speak enough English to get by for your basic needs. There is a small courtyard on the roof where you can eat breakfast, have complimentary tea and chat with other travelers or the staff, and get an amazing view of the nearby snow mountain. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly, able to assist any of your travel needs and very open to making connections with travelers on a personal level, even after you're on your way to the next place.

Fabulous hotel. Stylish room with high standard amenities in the room. Great shampoo! It's a bit hard to find but we managed to get a Didi from the high speed railway station for 32 RMB. There is an elevator inside the 99Y clothes store that brings you to the 4th floor. A woman in a very simple room will give you your key. The hotel seems to have a different name in English: Aina Hotel. Regardless, it isn't so easy to find for an English speaker. The room is spacious and cosy. Comfortable bedding. Very well designed sitting area. Ceinling fan and Air-conditioning. Large flat screen TV. I loved the teapot and cup set. The hotel gives a nice tea and honey as a free gift. We weren't disturbed by noise despite it being in a popular tourist area. Everything is close by too. Fun to visit the park along the river. We went 2 nights there. I highly recommend.

I originally booked a standard room for my one-night stay, specifically requesting a clean, non-smoking room. To my surprise, they upgraded me for free! 🥰 The room was huge, beautiful, and spotless, with absolutely no smoke smell, which was a huge plus. There were three distinct seating areas: a desk for working, a two-seater area with a wall-side sofa perfect for takeout, and a comfy lounge chair on the other side, great for watching movies on the projector 🎞️. The bathroom was also sparkling clean (a germaphobe like me was thrilled!). They even provided disposable toilet seat covers, which was a nice touch. You could tell the toiletries were of high quality; my boyfriend even commented on the shiny packaging and how the toothbrush wasn't stiff and cheap like some hotel amenities (he said, 'Chinese products are really good!' 😂). The bedding was excellent too, ensuring a great night's sleep, and the surrounding area was quiet, allowing for proper rest. For anyone traveling to the high-speed rail station the next day, the location is super convenient – just a 13-minute walk! There are also plenty of food and drink options nearby. This stay was genuinely exceptional! Highly recommended! ✨

The location was perfect—peaceful at night yet lively during the day, with old town streets and shops just a stones throw away. Highly recommend this hotel!

Better late than never for this review! This hotel near the border crossing is a hidden gem! The French Indochinese style is incredibly photogenic! The location is absolutely perfect. You can walk to Hekou Port, and it's super convenient to get to the China-Vietnam Bridge and Vietnam Street. Plus, there's free parking if you're driving. The bright yellow French-style building is so unique, and the vintage details in the lobby and rooms are perfectly executed. The black and white patterned tiles and louvered wooden cabinets create an amazing ambiance that's fantastic for photos. The room was clean and tidy, with soft lighting, making for a very comfortable stay. The manager's service was also very thoughtful. Overall, the experience far exceeded my expectations. This is my top recommendation for Hekou!

I booked the lowest-priced room, which was on a lower floor and didn't have a view of the train station. The more expensive rooms are on higher floors with better views. You get what you pay for. The hotel is very close to Kunming Station, less than a 10-minute walk, which is perfect for catching an early high-speed train. However!!! Please note, the Kunming Station subway exit only leads to the south exit of Kunming Station, while the hotel is located near the north exit. So, if you're taking the subway to the hotel, I strongly advise against getting off at Kunming Station. You'll have to walk an extremely long way. Instead, you can get off at Fude Station and then take a bus to the hotel. Alternatively, get off at Huancheng Nan Lu Station and walk about ten minutes to the hotel. It seems there's a lack of coordination between Kunming Train Station and the subway station, as the subway exit only connects to the south exit, which is very inconvenient.

Very centric location, yet quiet. Large room. Very nice helpful and friendly service. Family running the house is lovely. Nice pleasant patio. Phone signal is weak, but there is wifi and it’s easy to connect. Bathroom lighting could improve, but it was fine. Shower clogs a bit.
