We thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay at Hidden Mist (listed on Trip.com as Santorini National Tide Sea View Resort). If you are looking for a relaxing stay with beautiful lake views, outstanding hospitality, and easy access to the Dreamland Resort area, I would happily recommend this hotel and would stay here again. Location: The hotel is located within Dreamland Resort on the eastern side of Dali, approximately 20 minutes from the airport, 30 minutes from the railway station, and around an hour from Dali Ancient City. We stayed near the Ancient City first before moving here, which I would recommend for anyone wanting to explore both sides of Dali. The resort is large, beautifully maintained, and very walkable. Complimentary golf cart shuttles regularly transport guests around the resort, while taxis are easy to arrange from the main entrance. There are quite a few staircases throughout the property, so it may not be ideal for guests with limited mobility. Service: The service was exceptional and one of the biggest highlights of our stay. Before we even arrived, the hotel contacted us by email and created a dedicated WeChat group with staff from different departments so we could ask questions or request assistance at any time. Everything felt organised, personal, and effortless. From the moment we arrived, a golf cart was waiting to collect us from the resort entrance. Throughout our stay, the staff regularly checked in to ensure everything was going well and genuinely cared that we were comfortable. The handwritten welcome note, housekeeping notes after each room clean, and staff asking what time would be most convenient to service our room were thoughtful touches that made us feel truly looked after. Although our booking only included a complimentary airport or railway station pickup, the hotel kindly arranged an airport drop-off instead because we had arrived from another part of Dali. This was greatly appreciated. Room & Cleanliness: We booked a room with a private garden overlooking Erhai Lake, and it was absolutely worth it. Waking up to the peaceful lake view each morning quickly became one of our favourite parts of the stay. The room and bathroom were spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained. Everything still feels new and exceptionally clean. The large soaking bath, with bath milk replenished daily, was perfect after a day of exploring. The shower had excellent water pressure. As someone with very long hair, I found the shampoo and conditioner a little drying, so I would recommend bringing your own. The secure WiFi was reliable and fast enough for both my husband and me to work during our stay. Breakfast & Dining: Breakfast was excellent, with a choice between a Western breakfast and a local Yunnan set menu. We tried both, and every meal was fresh, well presented, and delicious. As we had an early flight on our final morning, the hotel prepared a takeaway breakfast for us, another thoughtful gesture that reflected the level of service throughout our stay. Our booking also included complimentary afternoon tea with cakes and fresh fruit. It would have been even better if guests could also choose a complimentary tea or coffee. The room includes quality tea, a premium kettle, and a mini fridge, although adding coffee would be a welcome touch, especially in Yunnan. Facilities & Surroundings: The hotel has a convenient power bank rental station in the lobby, and Dreamland Resort is full of beautiful cafés, viewpoints, and photo spots. Flomis Garden is less than a five-minute walk away, making it incredibly convenient for visitors. Our booking also included a traditional tea ceremony experience, which unfortunately we did not have time to attend. This French-style courtyard hotel in Lijiang perfectly met all my needs! 🏡 It's just a twenty-minute walk to the Big Waterwheel, so I didn't have to deal with the crowds at the Old Town entrance. Being off the main thoroughfare meant I could explore the Old Town at my leisure, avoiding all the noise. The moment I stepped through the gate, the street noise just vanished. This perfectly solved the common problem of Old Town guesthouses being noisy due to their proximity to the street and constant tourist traffic. The suite was spacious and didn't feel cramped, unlike many other guesthouses. While the room itself didn't offer a snow-capped mountain view, the exclusive rooftop terrace was perfect for relaxing, enjoying the breeze, and gazing at the distant, continuous mountain range – truly a cure for travel fatigue. The concierge was incredibly thoughtful and attentive throughout my stay, promptly responding to any requests, which saved me the hassle of worrying about everything when I went out. The breakfast was decent and convenient, so I didn't have to search for food elsewhere. The soundproofing in the room was excellent; the outside tourist noise didn't disturb my rest at all. It truly offered a tranquil escape amidst the hustle and bustle. Both the location, comfort, and service were ideal. I'll definitely be choosing this courtyard again on my next trip to Lijiang.

This is a recently announced four-star B&B in Dali. Hahaha, I booked it after seeing it. The taxi we called didn't go directly to Caicun, so we had to go through a small alley. However, it's very close to the ecological corridor, just across the lawn from the back door. I highly recommend the Erhai Ecological Corridor. We were upgraded during the off-season, and I stayed there for two nights. The bedding, amenities, and cleanliness were all very thoughtful. I complained about the loud air conditioning, but the front desk lady brought a radiator up, and I slept very well that night. The B&B is very eco-friendly, and while it's all green, there weren't any bugs in the room, which is a real plus. The small rooftop garden in Figure 4 is beautiful, but it was a shame that it rained every day in Dali that day, so I didn't get to see the sunrise.

On the positive side, the hotel has quite a few recreational facilities, and the room amenities are decent and relatively new. On the negative side, the biggest problem is the excessive dampness in the room. It was uncomfortable to sleep in, and although the hotel changed the bedding, it didn't help much. This might be due to the humid air during the rainy season in Xishuangbanna, but two things puzzled me: 1) The front desk said no one else had reported this issue before. 2) I stayed at three hotels during this trip, and Zhucheng was the third. The other two were right next to Zhucheng, and their rooms didn't feel noticeably damp. Also, the hotel room didn't pay enough attention to some details. The sofa arrangement prevented the curtains from closing completely automatically; I had to manually close them. The refrigerator was also quite noisy, which affected my sleep.

The best decision I made in Shangri-La was choosing this guesthouse; it single-handedly made my entire high-altitude trip enjoyable! The location is superb, just a few minutes' walk from Dukezong Ancient Town's Moonlight Square and the Giant Prayer Wheel. It’s wonderfully quiet yet centrally located, perfect for exploring and dining out, then returning to a peaceful retreat. The room was spotlessly clean, the bedding was soft, and the bathroom had a great wet/dry separation. Most importantly, it came with an individual oxygen concentrator, which meant I wasn't worried about altitude sickness at all on my first high-altitude trip, and I slept incredibly soundly. The owner is super enthusiastic, offering free airport transfers both ways. The breakfast was varied, with delicious Yunnan rice noodles, and the service was attentive yet unobtrusive. Any requests were handled super quickly. It offers an immersive ******* living experience while still providing modern comforts. Next time I'm in Shangri-La, I'll definitely stay here again. I genuinely recommend it to anyone visiting Diqing!

This Mingyu Licheng Ademan Hotel in Banna was such a pleasant surprise! It's full of Southeast Asian charm, surrounded by lush rainforest greenery, and the pool light show creates an incredible atmosphere. The room was spacious and smart, with a Dyson hairdryer and Atelier Cologne toiletries, which really elevated the experience. The balcony offered a super relaxing view. The butler service was attentive, and they even offered pick-up and drop-off. The Dai-style rice noodles for breakfast were amazing. Absolutely fantastic value for money, definitely my top choice for accommodation in Banna!

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to attractions like Guishan Park. Shangri-La has significant temperature swings, so it's convenient to return to the hotel anytime to change clothes, grab things, or rest. The entrance is also a popular photo spot, with amazing views both morning and night. If you love night views, the second floor of the hotel is also great for photos. The hotel's decor has a lot of local character. If you're not too particular about accommodation standards, it's worth experiencing. Although it's in the heart of the old town, it's very quiet at night. Upon check-in, you're offered a Hada (******* ceremonial scarf) and ginger tea. Breakfast includes savory butter tea, and in the evening, they provide highland barley bread and yak milk. The highland barley bread is quite tasty. One day when we went to Meili, the hotel thoughtfully arranged a packed breakfast for us. The hotel offers airport drop-off service, just request it a day in advance. I give the location full marks.

🌲 Dali Cangshan Oxygen Retreat | Living in This Forest, I Kicked My Phone Addiction🍃 Seriously, I'm so grateful! The biggest surprise of my Dali trip wasn't the ancient city or Erhai Lake, but this forest B&B nestled halfway up Cangshan Mountain 🌿. As we drove up from the city, the urban hustle and bustle slowly faded, replaced by lush greenery and the sound of pine trees swaying in the wind. 🌄 **The Rooftop is Pure Soul:** I was absolutely stunned the moment I stepped onto the rooftop – the nineteen peaks of Cangshan Mountain stood behind me like a majestic screen, with the entire Erhai Lake and scattered Bai ethnic villages stretching out below. The Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple were faintly visible. In the morning, drawing back the curtains revealed a sea of rolling clouds. In the evening, I'd sit on the swing chair on the terrace, watching the sunset paint Erhai Lake a honeyed gold 🍯. At night, a glance upwards showed the Milky Way so clearly it brought tears to my eyes ✨. 🌿 **Immersive Mountain Living:** Hydrangeas were in full bloom in the courtyard, and dappled sunlight filtered through the treetops onto the wooden floors. The natural wood-toned room had floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides, making it feel like sleeping right in the forest 🌲. There were also three resident cats, each with their own unique personality, taking turns on patrol. Banyan Tree Lijiang is absolutely beautiful! Even though it rained both days of our stay, the traditional Chinese courtyard felt perfectly in tune with the weather, offering a unique charm. Before booking, I was a little worried after seeing the hotel's pictures – I'm not sure how they took those promotional shots, because in person, the scenery far exceeded my expectations. All my photos were taken with a phone, so they're quite authentic. The service was also excellent; when my child wanted to sleep alone, they even set up an extra bed for them. The hotel offers plenty of activities to keep kids entertained, and there are small animals and many fruit trees on the property. The osmanthus flowers were already blooming during our visit, filling the air with their fragrant scent. On our last day, they even arranged a travel photoshoot for us. All in all, it was definitely worth it!

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They confirmed my check-in details and the hotel's location in advance. Upon arrival, they immediately offered to help with my luggage and even assisted with purchasing tickets for the Song Dynasty City show (I didn't realize discounted tickets needed to be bought a day in advance, but the hotel managed to get them for me). They were consistently warm and welcoming whenever I saw them. The breakfast was plentiful and, more importantly, delicious, with a fantastic view from the restaurant. The room was spacious and modern, featuring a double vanity and a large dressing mirror, perfect for two women to get ready simultaneously. My friend was extremely pleased. Initially, I was a bit worried based on some user-uploaded photos on Amap, but thankfully, the hotel's photos on Trip.com were accurate and trustworthy, not misleading. Overall, I'm very satisfied.
