Although the Shangri-La Hotel Fuzhou has been open for many years, it is exceptionally well-maintained. The public areas, corridors, and rooms are all spotless, with no signs of wear or an outdated smell. The entire hotel still carries that distinctive Shangri-La fragrance.
Every detail in the room is meticulously cared for! Its elegant and upscale ambiance remains captivating. The TV is large, high-definition, and even has a rewind function, which is quite rare for international brand hotels. The bedding and furniture are very comfortable, and the bathroom is spacious and well-appointed!
The swimming pool and gym are large, and the water temperature is perfect!
Regarding dining, the Horizon Club's offerings are truly excellent, especially breakfast. Many of the à la carte options are delicious. I had planned to try the Chinese restaurant, Rongfu, but the generous breakfast each day filled me up so much that I couldn't make room for other dining options.
All the staff do a fantastic job. The housekeeping aunties diligently clean the rooms every day, and the ladies at the Horizon Club are warm, attentive, and professional! Special mention goes to Cindy Weng, who approaches her work with passion every day, providing the most thoughtful service to guests!
On our second day, we had to leave early for another city and didn't return until almost midnight. As the taxi approached, seeing the Shangri-La Hotel lit up brightly gave me a sudden sense of warmth. I knew that as soon as I stepped inside, the day's fatigue and the unease of being in a strange city late at night would instantly disappear.
The Shangri-La Hotel's style is unique: noble, elegant, warm, meticulous, and thoughtful! Yes, for me, Shangri-La represents warmth!

Had a fantastic stay! The location is super convenient for getting around, and there are plenty of places to eat, drink, and shop nearby. The room was spotless, spacious, and didn't feel cramped at all. The bedding was really comfortable, and the soundproofing was great – it was very quiet. The front desk staff were lovely and very responsive to any requests, paying attention to all the little details. Overall, it's excellent value for money. I felt comfortable and at ease during my stay. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Fuzhou!

We booked a 270° river view room. When we arrived, the previous guests had just checked out, and the front desk upgraded us to a suite directly. It was a bit of a shame, actually, because I originally wanted to book a suite when I made the reservation, specifically for the river view from that particular room. Luckily, everything else went smoothly.
The elevator system in the hotel is a bit cumbersome; you have to go from the underground parking to the ground floor, then from the ground floor up to the 40th floor to check in, and then switch elevators again to go up to the 54th floor. However, there's a dedicated service for delivering food orders directly to your room. Another reason I booked this hotel was for the gym, but due to my schedule, I couldn't make it there, which was a bit disappointing. I missed out on the 'sky gym.'
I didn't try the hotel breakfast, so I can't comment on its quality. The hotel's surroundings are very convenient, making it easy to get to various places.
Every single staff member at the hotel is exceptionally good. No matter who it was or where they were, if they saw you carrying something, they would proactively ask and offer help. The turndown service was also excellent. Setting aside the hardware, their service awareness surpasses even the Waldorf Astoria in Xiamen.
Attendant Xiao Yang's service was excellent and very thoughtful. The housekeeping auntie also had an outstanding service attitude; towel replenishment was prompt, and trash was collected in a timely manner. Really excellent. Special praise for the 'sky shower' – the water pressure was impressive.
It was a very comfortable trip overall. However, there might be a significant mite problem with the hotel bedding. My baby developed rashes, which was a bit upsetting. Everything else was quite good.

The room was great, just like the pictures and videos I saw online. The hotel is quite large, so we had to take a shuttle whenever we went out, but the staff provided excellent service – the shuttle arrived promptly every time we called. The hotel's breakfast buffet is definitely worth mentioning; although the variety wasn't extensive, the food was delicious!

Had a terrible experience. The comforter was damp. Aside from the sea view, it was worse than staying at an Atour. The most frustrating thing was the long wait to check out. When I asked the front desk, I was actually scolded! I reflected on it afterwards:
1. I wasn't feeling well and my reactions were slow.
2. If a five-star hotel can't shake off its 'Kong Yiji' (pretentious and outdated) attitude, it should at least maintain its facilities, even if the price is a bit higher.
3. Maybe I haven't stayed at hotels requiring a deposit much in recent years.

Intercontinental is always my first choice whenever I visit Fuzhou. It's truly a six-star hotel among Fuzhou's five-star options, excelling in both hardware and software.
I'm very familiar with the hotel, and this time, the gentleman at the front desk, Donk, made a lasting impression. His attitude was gentle and polite, his operations were incredibly efficient, and his communication was concise and to the point. It was such a pleasant check-in experience.
I'll be back in Fuzhou in a couple of days, and it's Intercontinental again!

The hotel boasts an excellent location, right next to Jinjiang Bridge, making it convenient to reach all the tourist attractions. It's situated within Quanzhou Taihe Plaza, so you can enjoy the night view of Jinjiang Bridge right from your bed. The front desk staff, especially the lovely lady, was incredibly thoughtful and efficient, quickly processing my check-in and patiently explaining all the hotel's facilities and services. The breakfast was fantastic! Besides the usual Western hotel breakfast, they offered a wonderful selection of delicious Quanzhou local specialties. I was very satisfied with my stay.

I'd been looking forward to staying at the Lujiang Hotel for a long time. Back in 2019, when I traveled to Xiamen, I already had my eye on this prime location. Unfortunately, the hotel was undergoing renovations then, so I couldn't make it happen. This time, I brought my mom for the Dragon Boat Festival and booked three nights here without hesitation. The entire stay was pleasant and perfect.
We stayed in a premium sea-view balcony king room. The room offered an unparalleled view directly overlooking the endless ocean. The amenities were brand new and tastefully designed, with a perfect blend of retro charm: from the floor indicator in the elevator on the first floor to the antique telephone on the sixth floor that was actually functional, every detail was thoughtfully considered. Every evening, they offered a different comforting complimentary soup, which they could even reheat if it got a bit cool. The welcome fruit platter was abundant, and these details were especially heartwarming. The hotel also gifted us a Qipao photoshoot at Zhuyanjji, and with the hotel's scenic backdrop, the atmosphere was incredible, resulting in a series of stunning vintage-style photos – an unexpected and delightful surprise.
The breakfast package quality far exceeded our expectations. The breakfast spread was extensive, and dining on the terrace while enjoying the views and delicious food was wonderful. Minnan specialties like Shacha noodles, Wu Xiang (five-spice rolls), and Xianyuzhao (savory taro dates) were all available. The dishes were updated regularly, so we didn't get tired of them over our three-day stay.
What truly impressed me was the service. The front desk staff was well-organized; even during busy periods, someone was immediately available to assist. Housekeeping was meticulous and thorough. When I got mosquito bites, the front desk provided cooling balm. The doormen proactively opened doors and helped with luggage, all with warmth and decorum, reflecting the calm and thoughtful service of a well-established hotel.
My mom and I had a wonderfully relaxing holiday. The Lujiang Hotel certainly lived up to its reputation. This trip was perfect, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Xiamen!

Our overall experience during this stay was incredibly satisfying. The pool team, in particular, was outstanding. Special mention goes to Chen and Li, who worked from 6 AM to 3 PM; they displayed exceptional professionalism. They were consistently focused and responsible during their shifts, never distracted by their phones, always attentive to the children's safety, and provided meticulous and appropriate service. Their dedication and expertise left us with a very deep and positive impression of the hotel, even making us consider extending our stay. While I don't recall the names of the other pool staff, they too left a strong and positive impression.

IIain13This is a duplicate of my review for dates from 6 to 8 June 2026, as I extended my stay for one night.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would happily stay here again.
The location is excellent. It's right next to the metro, directly across the road from China City Mall, and within easy walking distance of Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, the waterfront and the ferry wharf. It made exploring Xiamen incredibly easy.
The staff were consistently helpful and efficient. They obtained information about the Xiamen-Kinmen ferry, which was greatly appreciated. The breakfast restaurant staff deserve special mention as they were always friendly, welcoming and genuinely seemed pleased to see their guests each morning.
The room itself was lovely. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was excellent and while I didn't use the bath, the shower was very good. The hotel also has a nice swimming pool, gym and lounge area, all of which added to the overall experience.
Breakfast was good, with plenty of choices, both Asian and Western, and a pleasant atmosphere.
I only intended to stay a short time, but enjoyed both the hotel and Xiamen enough that I extended my stay by an extra night. From my room I had good views, including Zheng Chenggong's statue on Gulangyu Island and Xiamen's Twin Towers in the distance.
This hotel certainly helped make my stay in Xiamen an enjoyable one. I left with very positive memories and would gladly stay here again.

FflubberGrand Honor Hotel is definitely the best hotel in Shishi, but it’s not quite the same level as a luxury hotel in a bigger city. Generally the hotel is clean, but it’s the little things that I noticed, ie when I checked in, there were some sweet wrappers next to the bowl of sweets that weren’t cleared away. That said, the sense of space is evident in the hotel lobby, lifts, corridors and most importantly, the hotel rooms.
Rooms are very spacious and well-designed, although the closet area can definitely do with brighter lights. Most amenities are provided but what put me off is that many items that would have been free in other hotels at this price-range aren’t free at Grand Honor. There is a Chinese tea set on the table and usually the loose leaf tea is provided for free but it cost ¥15 per packet. Honestly it’s not a lot of money for us, but on the flip side, surely the hotel can provide a bag of tea leaves for their guests. There are the standard free single-use packet tea in the drawer so at least there’s that.
In-room slippers are not to be taken out; they’d charge you if you do - and that’s fine, but the slippers are actually really uncomfortable to wear.
The small plate of fruits (banana, plum and mandarin) given at 5pm every day is a nice touch.
The hotel breakfast is probably the highlight. Set on the 22nd floor with panoramic views of the city, breakfast is very enjoyable. The food quality is pretty good, but a real surprise here is the sheer diversity of food. The bread selection alone has 5-6 choices (pastries, brioche, baguette, square toast, etc), the cooked food section is almost endless (and there’s cooked Chinese vegetables! 👏🏾) and then there’s the fruit selection at the end too. My only gripe is that the coffee machine is a bit slow, and there’s only one machine so there can be a wait for coffee.
Location of the hotel is a little odd; good restaurants and the main mall is about 15 mins’ walk away. There aren’t many good shops to wander around nearby.
Generally, this is a solid hotel for this price point. Excellent service with very fast food delivery (using the ubiquitous delivery robots) and friendly front desk staff.
GGuest UserThe hotel is super close to the metro station, which is a huge plus. The private hot spring, however, is located off-site. Thankfully, the hotel provides a shuttle service, and a big shoutout to the friendly Xiao Zhang who drove us back and forth multiple times. The only minor hiccup was finding an old eyelash in the private hot spring tub from a previous guest, but luckily, they provide disposable bath liners.

GGuest UserThis hotel has a great artistic vibe. The front desk staff were super friendly and welcoming, and they even offer a shuttle service. It's incredibly close to the airport, just a 10-minute walk! They also have a lovely backyard garden and a restaurant where you can order à la carte. The gym is free for all guests to use. I'll definitely choose this place again for my next business trip.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel service was excellent, always responsive to our needs and going above and beyond to satisfy guests. No matter the time, they were always quick to assist. The service even started before we arrived on the island; hotel staff contacted us days in advance to confirm our needs during our stay, reminded us about the ferry tickets required for the island, and even helped us book them. After adding the concierge on WeChat, they sent us information about hotel and island activities, and could assist with advance bookings and ticket reservations. Upon arrival, the concierge met us at the pier and helped with our luggage. Any questions we had during our stay were answered instantly via WeChat. When we checked out, they even gave us a souvenir and helped transport our luggage back to the pier. Considering we had a lot of luggage, a staff member specifically accompanied us on the ferry, helping with our bags the entire way. The whole stay felt very warm and reassuring; it’s a hotel full of human touch. The hotel environment is very quiet, with an ecological park next to it. Walking through the park leads to the beach, and the coastline is beautiful and great for walks. A truly excellent stay!
FFelix·LinOverall, it was pretty good. The room was clean, and check-in/check-out was efficient. A really nice perk is that you get a full 24 hours from when you check in, so there's no rush to leave if you arrive in the afternoon. There's also a subway station nearby, which makes getting around very convenient.

GGuest UserTraveling by car, there's an underground parking garage, and the hotel service is excellent; the butler was incredibly responsive to all our requests. The hotel has a limited number of rooms, so it's very quiet. It's also close to Sanfang Qixiang. They offer afternoon tea and a sweet soup before bed. Most of the first-floor king rooms have a lovely little courtyard. The second-floor twin rooms have balconies. The only downside was the central heating; it was so hot at night that I couldn't sleep. Even opening the window didn't help, so the butler brought a circulating fan that we kept on all night.
AAnnuozi9888Baixiang Hotel is one of the most satisfying hotels I've stayed at recently. It seems to be the tallest building in Longyan, and the lobby is very grand. The rooms are spacious, and the front desk staff are incredibly welcoming. I especially want to commend a lady with a somewhat complex surname and glasses; she was very professional and deserves high praise. There's a claw machine on the first floor, and the staff member there even gave my two children a few extra game tokens, which they loved. All the other staff also provided excellent service. In the evening, when the technician came to fix the TV, he rang the doorbell and, after I opened the door, repeatedly confirmed if it was convenient for him to enter before coming in, which was very professional. The breakfast was quite good; the Fuding meat slices and noodles were exceptional. The coffee was a bit subpar, and there weren't many drink options, but there was enough to eat. The prices are usually very affordable, and they didn't raise them much during the ***** New Year. The suite was large, which I really liked. I'll definitely be back.
