AAnonymous UserFacilities: Since it just opened, everything is very new, but there are no strange smells, which is great.
Hygiene: The room was cleaned very well.
Environment: Among the hotels in Dongmen, the environment here is excellent because it has its own courtyard with its own unique scenery. Plus, the public areas are also very distinctive; I really liked them.
Service: The service was attentive and responses were quick.
GGuest UserThe soundproofing in the room is excellent. Even though it's located in a bustling area, it's remarkably quiet once you close the windows, ensuring a great night's sleep without any disturbance from outside noise. Xiao Jiang and Pei Zhen at the front desk provided meticulous and thoughtful service, always available when needed. I'd definitely come back to Xiangjiang Hotel if I visit Changsha again!

GGuest UserThis hotel is absolutely fantastic! The front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. Breakfast was abundant and delicious. I especially want to commend Ms. Qu Xianlin, a server in the restaurant, for her exceptionally thoughtful and enthusiastic service. She personally brought us coffee and fruit, which I found very touching. Thank you, staff of Sunshine Hotel! The bedding was comfortable, and the room was spacious and very clean. I'll definitely come back if I have the chance.
__.KennethSo delighted with my stay at the Chaocong Ancient Street branch in Changsha! Tucked away on an old flagstone street, it offers a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle. Step outside and you're surrounded by street food, and it's a short walk to Wuyi Square. The wabi-sabi style decor is chic and perfect for photos. The room comes with a Dyson hairdryer and Le Labo toiletries, and the bedding is so comfortable I slept soundly. The concierge service was attentive and thoughtful, breakfast was plentiful, and they even had a unique 'magic cube' event where you could swap for milk tea. So many thoughtful details! This is definitely my top choice for travel, I'll be staying here again next time.

GGuest UserI’ve been travelling for decades and stayed at a huge variety of places. By far this is the best one I’ve ever been to.
The whole staff and expecially our butler Yuan yuan和xiaotang were super helpful and friendly. I was so much impressed by their help and readiness to adjust , find ways to solve our problems or fulfill requests. We’re travelling with a child , so we had a lot of requests! We’ve been to a range of 5-star hotels around the globe, but have never seen such help and hospitality.
I’d highly recommend using the hotel taxi for the airport pickups and getting around since it is much better than the local didi choices. You just don’t have air conditioned didi options in the village no matter how much you’re ready to pay. Just old cars with open windows. The hotel cars are new, spacious and comfortable. And the drivers are all very good.
We’ve also enjoyed breakfast very much. Lots of options. And especially good for a child (not spicy and a huge variety of buns).
The location is close to the national park entrance and you walk around 10min to the entrance through a very nice and picturesque park by the river side!
The hotel features its own natural cave with colourful lights. So beautiful! And it’s a great escape in rainy days or demanding days when kids and elder people aren’t exactly eager to go anywhere else but still wish to see something. We’ve even discovered a tiny colony of bats inside!
The hotel has several nice terraces overlooking the park, riverside and the village center. We’ve found it ideal for having snacks or tea outdoors and enjoying the village lights in the evening. The whole hotel territory and the pool are so beautiful, well designed and perfect for taking pictures.
GGuest UserStaying at Forest homestay was the best decision we could have made during our trip to China.
The service was truly 5 star. The staff at the lodge are so kind, helpful and efficient. We got personalised itineraries each day that changed a lot based on the weather, which was quite mixed! I was very impressed by their efficiency and flexibility. Each day we were driven to and from the park gate (for free). Pickup was within a couple of mins of us messaging that we were ready to leave. All of the staff were wonderful, but Guo Pu was a standout from our trip. Not only did he cart us around and respond to any questions via WeChat within minutes, but he made sure we got the most out of our time there - he pulled fruit from fruit trees at the lodge for us to eat, showed us the various animals they keep onsite, and took photos of us at the sky mirror. He was really great at giving instructions for getting the best effects! (Photos attached)
The room was superb - lots of great features like a heated air function in the shower that was helpful for drying off wet clothes after we got caught in a downpour. The room is a rustic style and there’s a few places that could do with a lick of paint and tidying up, but this added more to the rustic charm! The view really was incredible.
The location of the lodge might first seem far from the action of the park, but trust me, this is a blessing in disguise! The park gets incredibly busy, especially around Yuanjiajie. The busyness really can ruin the natural beauty. Being close to the Westgate allows you to access the park from the most uncommon direction which is actually marvellous as it means you are less likely to get caught up in crowds and queues as you are travelling around the park in the opposite direction of the vast majority of the tourists. This really makes a difference and maximising the time that you have in the park. Because of the mixed weather, we ended up travelling most of the top sights in the park again on the single good weather day and this worked really well because of our direction of travel. The Westgate is much quieter and the surrounding area is much more peaceful than the busy area around the east gates. This allows you to really enjoy the peace and beauty of nature when you aren’t exploring the park.
I would highly recommend staying here when you visit Zhangjiajie, and I’d like to thank all of the staff for such a magical and amazing time.
GGuest UserI stayed in a wooden cabin villa with a huge balcony. The driver was very punctual for station pick-ups and drop-offs, and the front desk service was excellent. The auntie who made rice noodles for us at breakfast was also very kind. The staff and service here are all wonderful. Plus, the hotel is very clean. Even though it's been rainy these past few days in Zhangjiajie, the dehumidification in the room was great at keeping things dry! Waking up to beautiful views from the window every day really boosted my mood.
GGuest UserOverall, the hotel was decent. You could see the cable cars coming and going right from the window, and there was a convenient store downstairs, which was very handy. However, the breakfast selection was quite limited, and the hotel hallways had no air conditioning. It felt stuffy and hot as soon as you stepped out of the elevator. I hope they improve that.
AAnonymous UserGreat location, close to the East Gate of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. It's about a 10-15 minute walk, or a 7-9 yuan Didi ride. The hotel breakfast is quite suitable for guests from Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macau, and international visitors. While the variety isn't huge (they definitely have rice noodles, two coffee machines, and plenty of yogurt and juice), the lobby offers free snacks and drinks like coffee, cookies, soda, ice cream, and popsicles. During the Dragon Boat Festival, they even organized an herbal sachet DIY activity and gave out free popcorn, which was a nice festive touch. No wonder there were so many international tour groups coming and going during my stay. The bed and mattress in the room are a bit on the soft side, but thankfully there were two types of pillows to choose from (firmer and softer). Other amenities were pretty complete. There are also three public washing machines and three dryers, and you can check their real-time availability on the mini-program or TV. Food delivery is handled by a robot. Overall, this hotel is definitely worth staying at if you're visiting Wulingyuan.
GGuest UserWe started planning our trip to Zhangjiajie well in advance and spent ages looking for a hotel online. We were so indecisive because my family is really particular about accommodation, but we absolutely loved this hotel. The bedding was super comfortable, and it was so quiet at night. When you're traveling, a bad night's sleep can really ruin your mood – it almost makes you wish you hadn't come at all! And the food! The hotel has its own restaurant, and the chef's dishes were amazing, even better than what we found outside. Authentic Hunan cuisine, especially the mandarin fish – oh my god, it was incredible! They put a kind of herb called perilla leaf in it, so fragrant! It was even better than any fish I've had on the coast, and the boss himself caught it (we even went fishing with him, but we weren't very good). Everyone, you HAVE to order this clear soup mandarin fish!!!!
