Anonymous UserFacilities: Since it just opened, everything is very new, but there are no strange smells, which is great.
Hygiene: The room was cleaned very well.
Environment: Among the hotels in Dongmen, the environment here is excellent because it has its own courtyard with its own unique scenery. Plus, the public areas are also very distinctive; I really liked them.
Service: The service was attentive and responses were quick.

Guest UserThe soundproofing in the room is excellent. Even though it's located in a bustling area, it's remarkably quiet once you close the windows, ensuring a great night's sleep without any disturbance from outside noise. Xiao Jiang and Pei Zhen at the front desk provided meticulous and thoughtful service, always available when needed. I'd definitely come back to Xiangjiang Hotel if I visit Changsha again!

Great staying in Sunshine hotel. When we arrived, it was raining, their staffs made our staying indeed “sunshine”. Alex and Fanny were really kind and willing to introduce Zhangjiajie. We even followed Alex’s suggestion went to Furong village and Fox show. Breakfast selection is huge, all staffs are kind, especially Wang Jie, she helped us to write down our wishes for the year of the Horse as well :)

Hidden away in the historic Chaozong Old Street, this aesthetic hotel immediately creates a tranquil escape from the city's hustle and bustle the moment you step inside. The combination of natural wood and stone, along with soft lighting, gives the rooms a clean and comfortable feel. The bedding is incredibly soft, ensuring a good night's sleep. The 24-hour butler service is very responsive, and they even deliver breakfast and late-night snacks to your room. With a 'Cha Yan Yue Se' (popular bubble tea shop) right downstairs, it's incredibly convenient for getting around and exploring the local food scene. A truly therapeutic stay!

A very unique and memorable stay in Zhangjiajie!
We stayed 2 nights in the Morning Glow King Suite Bedroom. The highlight of this homestay is its cave concept. The reception area is huge, impressive, and beautifully designed, creating a real wow factor upon arrival.
The property also features a cave restaurant where breakfast is served, and dinner can be arranged with advance booking. There is also a cosy cave lounge for guests to relax.
Our room was large, comfortable, and very clean. The facilities were well maintained and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing.
Location is excellent. The homestay is hidden behind the famous theatre performance venue but only a short walk to the main street, making it convenient while remaining quiet.
Highly recommended for travellers looking for a unique accommodation experience in Zhangjiajie. The cave setting alone makes it worth staying here.

Guest UserStaying at Forest homestay was the best decision we could have made during our trip to China.
The service was truly 5 star. The staff at the lodge are so kind, helpful and efficient. We got personalised itineraries each day that changed a lot based on the weather, which was quite mixed! I was very impressed by their efficiency and flexibility. Each day we were driven to and from the park gate (for free). Pickup was within a couple of mins of us messaging that we were ready to leave. All of the staff were wonderful, but Guo Pu was a standout from our trip. Not only did he cart us around and respond to any questions via WeChat within minutes, but he made sure we got the most out of our time there - he pulled fruit from fruit trees at the lodge for us to eat, showed us the various animals they keep onsite, and took photos of us at the sky mirror. He was really great at giving instructions for getting the best effects! (Photos attached)
The room was superb - lots of great features like a heated air function in the shower that was helpful for drying off wet clothes after we got caught in a downpour. The room is a rustic style and there’s a few places that could do with a lick of paint and tidying up, but this added more to the rustic charm! The view really was incredible.
The location of the lodge might first seem far from the action of the park, but trust me, this is a blessing in disguise! The park gets incredibly busy, especially around Yuanjiajie. The busyness really can ruin the natural beauty. Being close to the Westgate allows you to access the park from the most uncommon direction which is actually marvellous as it means you are less likely to get caught up in crowds and queues as you are travelling around the park in the opposite direction of the vast majority of the tourists. This really makes a difference and maximising the time that you have in the park. Because of the mixed weather, we ended up travelling most of the top sights in the park again on the single good weather day and this worked really well because of our direction of travel. The Westgate is much quieter and the surrounding area is much more peaceful than the busy area around the east gates. This allows you to really enjoy the peace and beauty of nature when you aren’t exploring the park.
I would highly recommend staying here when you visit Zhangjiajie, and I’d like to thank all of the staff for such a magical and amazing time.

Guest UserOverall, the hotel was decent. You could see the cable cars coming and going right from the window, and there was a convenient store downstairs, which was very handy. However, the breakfast selection was quite limited, and the hotel hallways had no air conditioning. It felt stuffy and hot as soon as you stepped out of the elevator. I hope they improve that.

Guest UserTransportation: Located next to the City View Bus Station, making it convenient to get to the South Gate and High-Speed Rail Station.
Location: About a 1km walk to Wulingyuan East Gate, where you'll find Heytea.
Environment: Decent. The room was clean and quite spacious. It was a good deal during the off-season.
Facilities: The hotel pays attention to detail. The lobby offers free self-service drinks: iced honey lemon water (very refreshing), self-serve coffee (only Americano), bottled water, and small biscuits. There's also a fridge with Coke, Sprite, and ice cream. Even if you took a bit of everything, it probably wouldn't add up to more than 10 yuan, but it felt like a nice bonus and made me happy. The room had a takeaway box disposal bin and disposable toilet seat covers.
Food: Breakfast was standard hotel fare. There was self-serve millet porridge and other items available until 11 PM, so late arrivals wouldn't go hungry. They also recommended some local eateries where you could get a discount by showing your room card.
Overall, it was pretty good and offered good value for money.

Guest UserWe started planning our trip to Zhangjiajie well in advance and spent ages looking for a hotel online. We were so indecisive because my family is really particular about accommodation, but we absolutely loved this hotel. The bedding was super comfortable, and it was so quiet at night. When you're traveling, a bad night's sleep can really ruin your mood – it almost makes you wish you hadn't come at all! And the food! The hotel has its own restaurant, and the chef's dishes were amazing, even better than what we found outside. Authentic Hunan cuisine, especially the mandarin fish – oh my god, it was incredible! They put a kind of herb called perilla leaf in it, so fragrant! It was even better than any fish I've had on the coast, and the boss himself caught it (we even went fishing with him, but we weren't very good). Everyone, you HAVE to order this clear soup mandarin fish!!!!
