QiumuMoshimoThe room was much larger than expected, even though I frequently stay at Conrad hotels and have a basic understanding of what to expect. We were given a room on the 83rd floor, and the view overlooking Shenyang was truly amazing! We also experienced the cloud-level swimming pool on the 86th floor, which offered a fantastic view!!
This was my first time staying in an executive lounge room, and the executive lounge service was excellent. I particularly commend the freshly squeezed juice! The staff were also very kind and helped pack some orange juice or tea for us to take when we went out, which was a thoughtful touch. I really appreciate these little details!
Special thanks to Cathy, Luna, and Kelly from the lounge staff. If I come back to Shenyang, I'll definitely choose Conrad Hotel again!

Guest UserWhile the hotel's decor and facilities are quite old, the sea view from the floor-to-ceiling windows in the 66th-floor lobby is still breathtaking when checking in. The young man who checked us in was also very enthusiastic, proactively introducing the hotel and room amenities. The transportation is quite convenient, being very close to Donggang Metro Station, and you can feed seagulls right outside the hotel by the sea. It's also very close and convenient to popular attractions like Donggang Music Fountain, Venice Water City, and Donggang Fifth Street. You don't have to fight the crowds at tourist spots, and you can see large ships from the beach right outside the hotel in the morning. Sitting in a seaside cafe and enjoying the sea view is also very pleasant. The two-bedroom suite is very suitable for families with children, as it's spacious and has a kitchen and refrigerator, allowing you to prepare some food. Housekeeping was also timely; the room was always clean and tidy when we returned each day.
Now, after the positives, let me share the annoyances we experienced during our stay:
1. On the first day, housekeeping threw away one of my contact lenses. Luckily, I had a spare pair, otherwise, I would have been ”blind” for three days in Dalian. When guest relations called to inquire about our stay, they said it was because I didn't put it in a contact lens case but rather in its original disposable packaging. However, that's not a valid reason for you to throw away a guest's belongings.
2. The two bathrooms share a single storage-type water heater. Although we were informed of this upon check-in, it's really not a good experience for a group of four, after a day of sightseeing, to have to wait in line for the water to heat up to take a shower. Also, the shower water temperature in the master bedroom fluctuated wildly between scalding hot and icy cold, making my child cry! Later, they explained that other water sources shouldn't be used simultaneously when someone is showering, which was not mentioned to us during check-in. This makes it very inconvenient, meaning even if you have two showers, you can't use them at the same time.
3. For the first two days, we didn't need to swipe our room cards to go upstairs, but suddenly on the third day, we were told that the elevator required a room card, and our room cards actually didn't work! We had to go back to the 66th-floor lobby to get new cards. We were told this was because there were too many people in the previous two days, so they canceled the card swipe for the elevator? This seems like a safety concern.
After checking out, an employee from guest relations called to ask about our stay, which shows you do care about the guest experience. However, after I explained the three points above, no feedback or compensation was offered. So, was the young lady just calling to listen to my complaints? Haha.

Anonymous UserFirst off, the location is great, but the hotel is really old! I truly can't believe this is an Intercontinental, given their supposed standards and requirements.
1. They called me the day before to discuss check-in time, and we spent ages on the phone, wasted time, and still didn't clarify anything.
2. During check-in, they started discussing the daily room rate with me. This is the first time a hotel has ever done this with a guest. I thought the price was going to change, and we spent ages clarifying, only to find out the rate was exactly the same. No change at all. Their communication style was very misleading.
3. That evening, I called room service for an extra blanket, and they just flat out said they didn't have any.
4. My friend tried calling customer service from their room multiple times, and no one picked up.
5. The customer service in the lobby was also non-existent. Honestly, it's worse than places like Ya Duo or Quan Ji hotels these days.

I specifically booked a room with a view in the villa area. After I got to the room, they contacted me again to say the air conditioner was leaking, so they wanted me to switch to a downstairs room. The downstairs room felt sunken, dark, and had no view at all. Later, I said I didn't want to switch, and another person said it was fixed yesterday and wouldn't leak! The view from the second floor is as shown in the picture! Also, I don't know if it's the location or an issue with the AC unit, but the outdoor unit makes a very loud buzzing sound, the AC inside the room buzzes, and it's even louder outside! I could hear the buzzing all night; it felt like several machines were right outside the door! The staff at the fish spa area (picture three) also had a very bad attitude! And the staff in the dining area asked for good reviews!

The hotel room size was decent, but there wasn't even a small sofa. Before showering, my partner and I had to sit uncomfortably on two separate chairs, with no other place to relax.
The pool was terrible – tiny and murky.
The hairdryer was incredibly noisy and ineffective; I'd recommend bringing your own if you need one.
What was both annoying and laughable was the mini-bar setup: four bottles of Pure Water Joy on the left with no price tags, two Voss bottles on the right, each with a price tag of 28. Inside the fridge were several bottles of Pepsi, 7-Up, and Watson's soda water, none of which had price tags. So, of course, after checking out, I received a persistent call chasing me for the soda water cost, insisting they had labels. They also mentioned a pack of Oreo cookies in the fridge that also had no price tag. This isn't my first stay at a Marriott property, but this was by far the worst experience, no exceptions! It was also one of the two worst experiences during my trip to Shenyang. I will not be returning.
The only redeeming factor was the room service attendant – thank you!

Guest UserThe room was a bit small, but the cleanliness was acceptable. I got a free upgrade to the 6th floor with a nice view! The hotel offered a complimentary beer, and bottled beer could be taken back to the room. I opted for draft beer, which had to be enjoyed on-site at an outdoor restaurant open from 6 PM to 10 PM. I arrived a little after 8 PM, and even though it was summer, the sea breeze was wonderfully cool. There was also a resident singer, creating a fantastic atmosphere! The hotel's back exit leads directly to Happy Coast Gate 4, with Gate 5 to the right and Gate 3 to the left. Plus, there were plenty of free fireworks displays by the sea to watch!!

First, I stayed at the Grand Hyatt, then Yi Fang Castle. I had high expectations for the Grand Hyatt, but it was a letdown. I had no particular expectations for Yi Fang Castle, but it exceeded them by a lot. Driving up the mountain, as soon as you enter, you feel like you're on your way to a castle. The overall style is European palace-like, and both the lobby and outdoor garden are perfect for photos. Breakfast was also good. The front desk service was excellent, and the treasure hunt activity was really fun. This was my favorite hotel of the entire trip. If I had to give one piece of feedback, it would be to try changing the scent; the current fragrance smells a bit like cumin-flavored spicy strips.

Xiaomiyaner0000Stayed at the Swissôtel in Shenyang and I have to give a shout-out to Eric from the concierge team! I had a lot of luggage, and he proactively helped me carry it to my room. Check-in was also quick. I wasn't familiar with the area, and he patiently recommended attractions and good restaurants. He also helped coordinate a late check-out for me very smoothly. The hotel is conveniently located downtown with good transport links. The room was clean, spacious, and well-soundproofed, and the breakfast was excellent. Professional and attentive service, I'll definitely stay here again next time!

Guest UserThe hotel room was very clean, and the air conditioning and fresh air system were particularly comfortable. The breakfast had a great variety and high quality, and the service was excellent. A special thank you to Michael, the Lobby Manager! We had a packed schedule in the afternoon and didn't have time to go back to the hotel to pick up our stored luggage. Michael proactively helped us by coordinating with our driver to have the luggage delivered directly to the airport. This saved us valuable time and ensured we made our return journey smoothly. We are very satisfied with all the hotel's services! We will definitely choose Shangri-La again for our next trip!

HonghonghuohuopingpingananThe hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, with a large shopping mall right nearby that has everything you need for dining, entertainment, and shopping! The hotel service was also incredibly warm and welcoming. When they saw we had a child with us, they upgraded us to a junior suite. The room was quiet and spotless, with all the facilities well-equipped. Breakfast was also very rich, offering both Chinese and Western options. My favorite part was how delicious their pastries were! The swimming pool is open all day and very clean. I'll definitely choose this Pullman again when I come back to Dalian!
