5-Star Hotels in Ningxia, China

Amazing decision to go to Yinchuan for Dragon Boat Festival since it has the best weather and the cleanest city in China. Kempinski in this city is one of the best. The hotel is in the middle of the city, so there are multiple destinations to tour. For my trip, I did not go to the sand dune area. I focused on the ride share to the touristy movie film park snd neighboring theme town. The hotel is also near the growing 801 Creative Park, Night Market, and just a walk from the Ningxia Museum. So many more local and traditional spots. Bring an extra shopping bag. The hotel has a great view of their master plan development, delicious food options from the cafe to the German restaurant, and coffee/tea lobby lounge. The staff is bilingual and the grounds are immaculately clean. Sleeping and facilities really comfortable. Nicest locals all around. Thank you for a great stay.

Ningxia was a last-minute decision just a few days before my trip, and what a beautiful city it is! Even after a tiring journey, I chose the Marriott. I only booked it on the day of arrival, but the staff were incredibly welcoming. The surrounding area is bustling with many attractions. I enjoyed afternoon tea in the executive lounge, which offered beautiful views of the Yinchuan cityscape, including a large lake and well-planned, crisscrossing roads, all with immaculately maintained green belts. From my suite, I had a fantastic view of the distant Helan Mountains. Interestingly, the next day, while staying at the foot of the Helan Mountains, I could still spot the Marriott! Overall, my stay was incredibly comfortable. After a day of rest, I felt completely refreshed. Yinchuan left a wonderful impression on me, and I'll definitely be back!

Atmosphere: The lobby is luxuriously decorated, and the overall quality is quite high. The front desk guy, noting we were traveling with children, offered us a spacious room, which was highly commendable. Facilities: The TV in the room wasn't very good, which might have been a problem for my TV-loving kids, hahaha. Also, the toilet paper roll was incredibly annoying; it fell out the moment I pulled it, and the staff couldn't even secure it properly... Children's breakfast: Honestly, the breakfast was quite good. While other places don't offer free children's meals, theirs includes two children, which was quite good. We had planned to try ice-cooked lamb on our last day, as we saw there was a famous place nearby, but we were pressed for time and didn't go.

The room is small in size and clean and tidy. The parent-child room I booked has a double bed and a single bed, which is especially suitable for a family of three. Toiletries come in large bottles and are of good quality. Breakfast is an absolute plus for this hotel. Cold side dishes, haggis soup, fried buns, and ramen are all great! Not inferior to international five stars. Although the breakfast area is not large, everything is of good quality. Wuzhong is not a big city, so I parked my car in front of the hotel when I was driving, which was very convenient. It takes one hour to go to Yinchuan from Wuzhong, one hour to Shuidonggou, and one and a half hours to Shapotou. I like the Northwest~

The room was very comfortable. The all-inclusive breakfast and dinner package was a huge advantage, especially since you can pretty much only eat at the hotel here – there's no takeout and no other restaurants! I had stayed at another hotel for two nights previously, and eating in-house there was incredibly expensive, so having two meals included here was fantastic! The service was excellent. What truly impressed me was this: On the first night, there was a heavy sandstorm and rain, and my originally booked wooden cabin felt a bit noisy and unsettling. After I mentioned it to the butler, they immediately contacted the reservations department and upgraded my room type free of charge! I was so moved by this, that on the second day, I willingly paid the difference to continue staying in the upgraded room. Their efficiency and customer service ethic were outstanding! I also took some time to check out the Star Diamond Hotel, which is owned by the same company. I rested in the lobby and took photos at the beautiful church. Afterward, the lobby staff at Desert Diamond arranged for their car to take me back to Desert Star. This place was the most stunning 'attraction' of my entire trip. If I ever return to Zhongwei, I will definitely book a stay at Desert Diamond to experience it!

Having stayed at the Sheraton Sanya last summer, I continued my choice of Sheraton for this trip to Yinchuan. The service quality remains consistently excellent, and I had a truly wonderful experience. This visit was during peak season, and unfortunately, we had to switch rooms for our two-night stay. The young lady at the front desk, a member of an ethnic minority group, was incredibly patient, charming, and had a fantastic attitude. Later, customer service directly arranged our luggage transfer when we changed rooms, so we didn't have to handle it ourselves. We simply went out for the day, and upon our return, our luggage was already perfectly placed in our new room. The customer service team was also very quick to respond. Regarding the Executive Benefits: The executive lounge is convenient for grabbing a bite to eat, though its offerings aren't particularly unique. However, the young lady providing service there was exceptionally enthusiastic – big thumbs up! She was practically an ambassador for Ningxia tourism, haha. Also, the twin room was very spacious!

We booked a room at Hyatt House. Rebecca enthusiastically checked us in. Seeing that my order only included one breakfast, she sent us another one and also gave the child a small camel doll as a gift. The room was clean and tidy, with complete facilities. Parking was convenient and travel was stress-free. I was very satisfied with my stay.

The hotel is perfectly located above Yinchuan's bustling shopping mall, offering convenient transportation. Nearby are a variety of restaurants, entertainment venues, and a night market. Tea House is just a short walk downstairs. The rooms are fully equipped and very clean. The mattress is incredibly soft and comfortable. The breakfast is plentiful, and the space is spacious, so there's no need to wait for a table. The service was excellent and attentive, especially Li Jiyan, who was very helpful. I look forward to staying here again!

Autumn break! Chengdu is on autumn break! I'd been promising my two kids a desert trip for a long time, so when choosing a travel destination, after-school care, or a scenic drive, I didn't hesitate to choose a desert trip – specifically, the Zhongwei Shapotou Desert Trip, with the ”Desert Diamond” as our first stop. Here are some key takeaways: 1) Excellent location: Surrounded by sand dunes on three sides, each room offers a consistent and good view, maximizing the view of the stunning desert landscape and allowing you to constantly see the interplay of light and shadow on the sand's texture, experiencing the beauty of the desert under the autumn sun. 2) The building layout is symmetrical and simple, centered around the main entrance, lobby, swimming pool, and wedding hall. At night, it resembles a phoenix about to take flight, like a diamond. 3) Each diamond-shaped unit forms an independent accommodation, with staggered upper and lower units. Those with children who love the sand can choose the lower level, where the dunes are right outside the door; while those who want to watch the sunrise over the dunes from their bed should choose the ground floor. Great! Excellent! 4) The building's shape, like a diamond, is fine, and the contrasting surface textures are rich but lack purity. Up close, the material interfaces, craftsmanship, and precision... could be slightly lacking, failing to achieve the otherworldly magic of a super-sized diamond. 4) The hotel service was evident from the moment we made the reservation. The chosen vehicle was excellent—a Hongqi SUV, white with a light beige interior, blending harmoniously with the building's color scheme. The interior is appropriate for its class, though slightly overly urban; a stronger sci-fi feel would have been better. We were particularly impressed by the comprehensive and attentive service of the butler, Irene—attentive, responsive, and friendly and welcoming to children. 💎💎💎💎💎 A few suggestions: 1) Provide a small lip balm in each room during autumn, especially needed by guests from the south. 2) The underfloor heating and air conditioning should ideally be set to around 20 degrees Celsius. 3) The composite flooring in the rooms is slippery, especially when it's sandy. 3) There should be introductions of the architectural design, interior design, and construction companies, as the Desert Diamond was not easy to build.

We came to visit my mom who was unexpectedly hospitalized. The hotel is right across from the hospital. This is a brand new hotel. The staff, Ms. Candy Wang, had excellent attention to detail and service mindset. I told Ms Wang just incidentally that we were only there for a night but may need to extend it on demand due to family care requirements. Ms Wang gave me an upgrade to a bigger room in case my mom needed to come in to rest for a while before we catch the flight home. We exercised this option when my mom eventually discharged, which I am so grateful for. Ms Wang made sure that travel and breakfast was well taken care of. She also helped me in my busy state of affairs to take care of parcels that I received on behalf of my mom. We have travelled to many places and countries. This has been the best experience ever!
