My overall stay completely exceeded expectations. The lobby fragrance was sophisticated and pleasant, not overpowering, and the decor was simple yet grand. The room was spacious with excellent natural light and a fantastic view from the window. The zero-pressure pillows were incredibly comfortable, and room service was prompt. They even thoughtfully provided drinking water. The 24-hour front desk gave a great sense of security, and there was ample parking, making it stress-free for those traveling by car. It's perfect for both business trips and leisure travel. I genuinely recommend it to everyone.
The staff and manager were incredibly warm and welcoming. Since my wife is a foreigner, the staff proactively reminded us and helped us with some visa-related matters, which was a huge help. The room itself was clean and tidy, though some facilities showed a bit of age due to the hotel's construction time. Overall, our stay was quite good. The breakfast spread, along with the NIO fast-charging station, were definite highlights. We also visited Huancai Mountain in Golmud, which was absolutely stunning!
We were upgraded to a villa, which was in an amazing location built right on top of a Yardang, overlooking four salt lakes. From the second floor, you could even see the Water Yardangs in the distance. There's a platform in front of the villa, perfect for taking photos and watching the sunset – super relaxing! Below the platform, there are even lounge chairs, likely a resting area after swimming in the salt lake. The room is very close to the platform. The interior is exactly as pictured; this kind of environment is unbeatable in the desert. For adrenaline junkies, they offer two free high-altitude slide tickets. The top of the slide is a great viewing platform, offering a stunning panoramic view of the entire camp. Aerial photos at night are even more beautiful. All in all, this was the most worthwhile stop on our Qinghai-Gansu grand loop trip.

The room was cozy and comfortable, with beautiful views from a high floor. The butler service was very attentive; they even upgraded our room when they saw we had a child. Breakfast offered a wide variety and tasted delicious. Downstairs, the transportation was convenient, and there were plenty of options for dining and shopping. Overall, a great experience.

I booked this hotel through Trip.com right before the Dragon Boat Festival for 393 yuan per night.
After checking in, I found the room facilities and everything else to be mostly good. On the evening of my arrival, I received a welcome gift of yogurt and some snacks.
I used my Trip.com points to redeem breakfast. The breakfast spread was extensive, but mostly consisted of carbs, with relatively fewer protein options (though there were fried eggs, shredded lamb tripe, and bacon; and some stir-fried meat slices in the vegetable dishes).
The hotel has a swimming pool, and I had high hopes for it, but the actual experience was quite poor: the pool on the sixth floor didn't provide towels or slippers, and the pool itself had an unpleasant odor (like a sewage backup). Even more absurd, the shower rooms in the changing rooms didn't even have body wash or shampoo. It was, frankly, ridiculous.

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. The hotel is just opposite Xining Train Station and is quite convenient for transportation.
The hotel room was clean but having cigarette smell even though I requested for non smoking room. The safe in the room was not working and the bathroom drainage was blockage.
Most of the hotel staff here are not friendly and helpful.
I would stay in other hotel if I visit to Xining again.

This hotel continues to impress me after multiple stays. The in-room facilities are complete and well-maintained, and all sorts of daily necessities are fully stocked. The housekeeping is meticulous and thorough; the room is clean and tidy, and the bathroom is free of standing water and grime, making for a worry-free stay. The service team is kind and attentive, proactively offering thoughtful services like drinking water and travel directions. Transportation is a breeze; the airport shuttle stops right at the hotel entrance, saving time and effort for trips to and from the airport. The floor-to-ceiling windows on the upper floors offer an exceptional view, and the city lights at night are picturesque, with the stunning nightscape truly soothing away travel fatigue. It's my top choice for travel. (Airport shuttle)
The hotel is fully equipped and brand new, the hardware facilities are perfect, the environment is clean and comfortable, and the unexpected surprise is that there is a sauna room. After playing, it is steamed. The fatigue has dissipated. The front desk staff took the initiative to upgrade the room type and provided children's supplies. Also gave a travel guide, The details are in place, there is a 24-hour gym and laundry room, breakfast is also very rich, cost-effective, it is recommended, and I will choose here next time I stay.

I stayed at this hotel for three days in Xining. The rooms were spacious and bright, very clean, and the service was good. Parking was usually available, but sometimes it was a bit tight, so it's best to reserve a parking space in advance with the front desk. The hotel breakfast was plentiful and quite good. It's right across from Wanfang City, with a large supermarket downstairs, making it very convenient to buy all kinds of daily necessities. There are also many snack shops and yogurt shops nearby, which I won't go into detail about.
Also, this hotel is located in the center of Xining. In case of altitude sickness, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Qinghai Province (I think) is just a ten-minute walk away. Don't ask me how I know 😂

My stay at Qinghai Kaiyuan Grand Hotel in Xining completely exceeded my expectations. Every moment, from check-in to check-out, was incredibly comfortable and pleasant. I absolutely have to sing its praises!
First off, the service was exceptionally warm and attentive, making the entire experience fantastic. As soon as I arrived, a doorman proactively helped me with my luggage and directed me to the Sky Lobby on the 21st floor. Check-in was super efficient, and they even thoughtfully recognized my member status and upgraded my room for free, along with complimentary fresh welcome fruit. The 24-hour front desk was always responsive to my needs; whether I needed directions or extra items, they were quick to assist. The staff were friendly and professional in every detail, adding a touch of warmth to my trip.
Secondly, the facilities were comprehensive and high-end, ensuring a very comfortable stay. The design of the Sky Lobby was simply stunning, blending Chinese style with panoramic views. In the evening, I even caught a breathtaking sunset – perfect for photos! My room was spacious and bright, with a well-designed layout covering over 50 square meters. It featured a soft sofa, a large desk, and even a humidifier to combat the dry climate in the Northwest, which was a very thoughtful touch. The guest rooms were fully intelligent, with features like sensor lighting and electric blackout curtains adding a futuristic feel. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area and a bathtub, and the toiletries were high-quality. The King Koil mattress provided an amazing sleep experience. The hotel also boasts a free gym, a table tennis room, a book bar, and a tea room – perfect for either exercise and relaxation or quiet reading. The amenities truly cater to various needs.
What truly surprised me was the breakfast – it was abundant and unique. Served at the buffet restaurant on the 5th floor, it covered everything from Chinese and Western to Halal cuisine, with an incredibly wide variety. There was freshly prepared Lanzhou beef noodles, authentic Halal 'Sazi Mahua' (fried dough twists), and other local specialties, along with hot dishes, cold dishes, congee, bread, seasonal fruits, and excellent freshly ground coffee and squeezed juices. I particularly recommend the hotel's yogurt; its rich and creamy texture was delicious with grains or fruit. The dining area was spacious and clean, with plenty of seating, so there was no need to wait in line – a perfect start to an energetic day.
Additionally, the hotel's location is superb. It's right next to Xining Railway Station, just a few minutes' walk away. Within a 1-kilometer radius, there's a night market, large shopping malls, and the distinctive Mojia Street pedestrian area. It's also close to the Dongguan Great Mosque and the Huangshui River, making it incredibly convenient for getting around and finding food. The free public parking also eased any concerns for those traveling by car. It offers incredible value for money.
In summary, Xining Qinghai Kaiyuan Grand Hotel excelled in every aspect, including service, facilities, and dining. It's perfectly suited for both business trips and leisure travel. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Xining and highly recommend it to everyone!

GGuest UserTraveling by car, the hotel's breakfast buffet was incredibly rich and varied, ensuring I got all the calories and nutrients I needed, which is crucial at high altitudes. The rice noodles at breakfast were especially delicious. The assistant, Xiaocanghu, was exceptionally thoughtful and attentive. They contacted me in advance, and considering the high-altitude environment, helped prepare a portable oxygen tank after I inquired. They also meticulously informed me about breakfast times, the best spots for sunrise/sunset viewing, and important travel tips, covering every detail. I was lucky enough to catch the hotel's 8:30 PM bonfire party, which had a fantastic atmosphere; I even joined in a Guozhuang dance for a bit. When I asked about sunrise viewing for the next day, the staff kindly reminded me about everything. Although we didn't get to see the sunrise due to rain the next morning, the meticulous service throughout our stay made the trip incredibly rewarding. Plus, the hotel offers a free ******* robe try-on service. The responsible staff member patiently helped us get dressed, styled, and took photos, making for a superb and wonderfully comfortable experience from start to finish.
GGuest UserThe front desk service was very enthusiastic. When I checked in, I was given cookies, which were delicious and hot. The front desk lady patiently introduced the hotel and the swimming pool and gym. I also went to experience them. The service of the swimming pool staff was also very good and warm. The room was clean and tidy. I will continue to choose this hotel next time.
GGuest UserThe hotel lobby's decor was luxurious and grand, and the front desk staff were incredibly polite and welcoming, their smiles were truly heartwarming. I had originally booked a standard room, but the front desk agent thoroughly explained the benefits of a view room. After upgrading, the floor-to-ceiling windows offered an absolutely stunning view. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the mattress was perfectly firm yet comfortable. It was quiet at night, not noisy at all, making for an overall perfect experience.

AAnonymous UserI stayed at The Sebel Xining Apartments, which is connected to Sofitel Xining, and had a pleasant stay overall.
The apartment was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet, making it a good place to rest after a day of exploring. The staff who handled my check-in were friendly, efficient, and welcoming, which made the arrival process smooth and enjoyable.
A good option for travelers looking for spacious accommodation with the convenience of being connected to the Sofitel facilities.
