HENDRO PRDOn my frequent business trips to Semarang, I always stay at the PO Hotel, which is conveniently located next to Paragon Mall. It's a 5-star hotel in the city center, offering a nice staycation experience. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and for dinner, I just walk to PG Mall through the connected doorway. The breakfast menu is also comprehensive and delicious. My suggestion for PO Hotel would be to upgrade the TVs to smart TVs and add more local channels, specifically Anteve and Indosiar, if possible.

Overall, it was great! The location is excellent, making it very convenient for getting around. The hotel's food and drinks were also good, and they offered some unique and visually appealing cocktails that tasted just as good as they looked. Plus, the view from the room's window was beautiful. Thumbs up!

Guest UserOn the recommendation of close friends, we chose to try Padma Hotel Semarang for our stay in Semarang, and we absolutely did not regret it. We truly enjoyed our stay.
The breakfast was extensive and delicious, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the gym was beautiful, and the coffee and pastries at Goolali were also of excellent quality. Combined with the beautiful entrance and the warm atmosphere of the hotel, it created a very pleasant overall experience.
What stood out the most to us, however, was the outstanding service from the staff. We would especially like to thank Mr. Syahrul for his professionalism and friendly service during breakfast.
One small point for improvement would be the speed of the Wi-Fi, especially when using YouTube on the television.
We certainly hope to return next year, hopefully for a longer stay.

Away from the hustle and bustle of yogya. Being in the city can be overwhelming, hence this location is just right, surrounded by nature - birds, clouds and an amazing view. The location is super interesting because the car has to go through so many winds through the village. If U take a morning jeep tour, the jeep will fetch U from the villa with the car top exposed and you can feel the wind in your hair, absorbing the peace from th village and fresh air.
They also have a massage, quite expensive but worth it at 450,000 idr per hour.
The geckos can be loud at night but that's nature. They have an amazing pool that oversees borobodur and Yogyakarta. The villa door has some ants but I think it's because of the wood?
The junior room suite villa roof feels a bit hollow because we can hear the birds jumping and squawking on top of it in the early evening.
Food is not fantastic, especially their breakfast. But since they locally produce long beans, try their long beans. It's crunchy and fresh. Their grilled ayam chicken rice is good too. Their sambal, however, is a must try. Fresh, spicy, tangy!
At night, you can hear adzan, which is call for prayer, across the whole of Yogyakarta. An amazing and holy experience.

Anonymous UserAll the staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful. The facilities are excellent, and I particularly have to praise their swimming pool. Having stayed in numerous five-star hotels across different countries, I can confidently say their pool is one of the larger ones and impeccably clean. The only downside is that it closes at 8 PM.
The hotel's breakfast buffet is incredibly extensive; you're guaranteed to find something you'll enjoy. The restaurant staff are exceptionally attentive. If you dine there for breakfast two days in a row, they'll already remember your preferences and ask if you need anything specific.
Furthermore, their Chinese restaurant, Summer Palace, serves outstanding Cantonese cuisine, and the prices are very reasonable. Even the staff in the Chinese restaurant maintain the hotel's consistently friendly service. If you ever have the chance to stay at this hotel, I highly recommend trying their Chinese restaurant.

Guest Userlove every part of this hotel, during all my hop on and hop off hotels this past years, this Gumaya hotel has met a good standard in most of aspects, especially the breakfast. im so suprised find hotel that the breakfast food taste delicious in all the stalls (usually will be too salty, too bland or just bleh..) but at gumaya, we are like travelling to each own traditional food restaurant, the authentic gudeg, the very nice lumpia and ikan bandeng, the warm soto ayam semarang and the homemade jamu and juices.
all is excellent.

After booking, I contacted the hotel to arrange the pick-up and other transportation. The hotel responded to the email promptly. The car and driver were also the hotel's own car. Because the hotel is located in the countryside and is relatively remote, I dare not Grab it myself. It turns out that the hotel's car and driver service are very satisfactory. The pick-up in Yogyakarta city is 850,000, and the delivery to Borobudur and waiting, and then the delivery to Yogyakarta hotel is 1300,000.

Booked the hotel because of the playground and swimming pool.
It is an old hotel with wood accents. Room was quite spacious but the bed sheet was old and lot of brown stain. Can see several bugs in the humid area.
Stay 3 nights. Second night, hot water was not working. Called the maintenance but it took 30 minutes for them to come. Asked hair dryer to front desk and took 20 minutes to come.
Swimming pool is warm water, but very cold in the morning. It was okay, should be cleaned more frequently because lot of leaves and flowers. The down side, when the pools are crowded, saw some men smoking near the playground.
Playground is spacious, but started getting old. There are patchy areas in the grass carpet. The slide area is not slippery anymore, some slides even too slippery, saw some kids slip in the sitting position and complained get hurt.
The breakfast selection was not many, but most of them delicious. Especially in the egg station, the (seems like trainee) staff make my egg very delicious!

Guest UserPerfectly located with old-world charm!
The Royal Surakarta Heritage wins big on location—right in the heart of Solo, steps from shopping, dining, and cultural spots. The breakfast spread is fantastic: authentic Javanese dishes alongside international favorites, all fresh and flavorful. But the real star is the staff—incredibly helpful, always smiling, and quick to assist with anything; from coffee at breakfast to extra towels and water for the room.
Rooms are clean and comfortable, though a bit classic in style (which fits the heritage vibe). Grab around town to almost anywhere is around INR20K. If you want convenience, great food, and warm service without the fuss, this is your spot.

Tokyo07Everyone was friendly..Staff were helpful and polite..They greeted you everytime they see you..Some even offered to assist you even though if you didn’t ask.Service was simply perfect,no complains!
Gym and pool were under maintenance.Construction was going on at the main hotel.Wasn’t aware of the maintenance till you checked in (Maintenance Notice placed on room table).Maybe updates should be reflected on third party apps or via whatsapp to avoid disappointment.
Wifi was poor. For a well rated hotel, this was a huge letdown.Management & maintenance should look into this. Was staying at room 806.Not sure if other floors or rooms are encountering this problem.Ended up using data roaming through my 3 days there.
