This was the best hotel on my Kansai trip to Japan! The room was clean and comfortable – small but perfectly formed. The onsen (hot spring bath) was also incredibly relaxing and had a lovely natural feel to it. They even provided facial makeup remover in the changing rooms, which was super convenient.
I visited during the off-season, so the hotel wasn't crowded. Everywhere you looked, there were charming and thoughtful design touches, and it was immaculately clean.
The location is also fantastic, near several of Nara's transportation lines and the bus terminal. Plus, there's a small street right next to it with plenty of food options. This is definitely the hotel I'll stay at again next time I visit Nara!
Great location a couple of minutes walk from the Kintetsu line station and tons of restaurants. Check-in was a fun and unusual experience! The room was spotlessly clean, the King bed was huge and the room was super quiet. All the amenities you could need: shrink wrapping clothes, microwave, laundry machines…and best of all free luggage storage. Had we realised this we would have saved the 2700yen we spent on lockers at the station. Breakfast had a great selection. We loved it so much we booked the Kyoto branch for our next nights stay, where we have just checked in to today.
We went by car!
There was a parking lot where guests could park for free.
The location was also great, as it was only about a 15-minute walk to Todaiji Temple.
We booked a room with dinner and breakfast included, and both were delicious and very satisfying (;;)
They provided petit cakes in the evening, which we enjoyed eating while doodling in our memory notebook!
They even have a hot spring!
The inside of the hotel was very clean, and everything was great, so we were very satisfied!
If I come to Nara again, I'd love to stay here!
Excellent location, right next to Nara JR Station, which is super convenient for travelers with luggage. After dropping off our bags, we easily walked through Sanjo-dori to Kofuku-ji Temple and Nara Park, passing by various shops and restaurants along the way. The hotel's self check-in and check-out machines were very efficient, even printing our breakfast vouchers automatically. The room size was just right, and the facilities were quite new. Highly recommend this hotel!
Hotel is a station away from Nara center.
We took bus or train. About 9 min away from station.
Hotel has specious and beautiful Lobby,
Rooms are very simple. Of course clean and neat as usually in Japan.
This has to be my favourite hotel in Japan. Firstly, the hotel is close to Nara Station, about a 3 minutes walk away. Room is spacious, and plenty of free consumables provided in the lobby. Filtered water dispenser is also available at the lobby. I think there was some food or snacks provided at night, but I came back to the hotel too late, only to find an empty tray with crumbs only.
Breakfast is a mix of traditional Japanese cuisine and Western breakfast items, and I was super impressed with the Japanese style breakfast! Please, you have to try the breakfast if you’re staying here.
The room was spacious, and the hot spring was wonderfully uncrowded and relaxing. Everything was very clean. There's free ice cream in the lobby, which was a nice treat after a hot spring soak!
The hotel is conveniently located near tourist attractions, and it's about a ten-minute walk from Kintetsu Nara Station. The service was excellent, and there's free coffee and tea bags available in the lobby.
The only downside was that the room wasn't very warm. In winter, cold air seeped in near the windows, and even with the air conditioning set to 30 degrees, it still felt a bit chilly.
This is a private villa-style accommodation in a traditional Japanese house. Guests can use the latest bathroom facilities, and at night, they can sleep on traditional Japanese futons in a tatami-floored Japanese-style room. Furthermore, the World Heritage sites of Todai-ji Temple (Great Buddha Hall), Kofuku-ji Temple (Five-Storied Pagoda), Gangoji Temple, and Naramachi are all within walking distance, and guests can enjoy playing with the deer.
The property is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from Kintetsu Nara Station and a 10-minute walk from JR Nara Station, allowing guests to easily leave their luggage and take day trips to nearby tourist destinations such as Kyoto, Osaka, and Kobe.
While meals are not provided, the property is equipped with a well-equipped kitchen, allowing guests to purchase ingredients at a nearby supermarket and prepare a variety of dishes. There are also numerous restaurants nearby, and takeout and catering options are available.
Optional activities include Japanese cooking classes, guided tours of Nara's World Heritage sites, and trail guided tours of the Kasuga Okuyama Primeval Forest. We offer shopping information for nearby supermarkets and other stores, as well as opportunities to experience traditional Nara crafts (such as ink making, fan making, brush making, sake tasting, and making persimmon leaf sushi). We have a variety of options available to enhance the quality of your stay.
This hotel holds the high standard of their group as usual.
Firstly, I thought the service was not sincere as the front deck refused to reserve the restaurant for us (there were 2 other hotel's front desk rejected in this Dec 2025 trip too). But then they offered tremendous help when I encountered parcel problem and which is out of what they need to offer.
That's really helpful.
The superior twin room is good for family of 4 with children under 12 years old.
We put together the beds and there were spaces for4 big luggage to pack and tidy up things.
Thank you to the entire front desk for their help.
The downside was the breakfast really average and I only recommend to try once if you are staying long.
**Facilities:** Excellent and very well-equipped, plus they offer a fantastic, extensive breakfast spread.
**Cleanliness:** Spotlessly clean!
**Location:** You can see deer just a few steps outside the door, and it's incredibly convenient, being very close to the station.
**Service:** The staff were incredibly patient, thoroughly explaining all the check-in information and important details. I absolutely loved my stay! I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Nara!

AAnonymous UserHygiene: Yellow stains that had not been cleaned were found on the toilet
Environment: Halfway up Mount Wakakusa, isolated from the outside noise. The overall design style is modern Japanese. If you want to experience pure Japanese living, you should pay attention to the difference
Service: The service is still worthy of praise. The driver and front desk staff are very enthusiastic. They helped arrange the car to go up the mountain in the morning. It was very lucky to see 👀 deer🦌 on a rainy day
Food: Most of the food arranged is made from local ingredients in Nara. The ingredients are not gorgeous, the taste is OK, and it is more down-to-earth

KKinglumLoved the hotel!! It’s in the center of nara city
It’s 5 mins walk to the nara shopping area, 5mins walk to the nara park there is deer walking around the hotel in the morning
There is free morning city walk tour at 7:00-8:00 with local guide; the bicycle is free
The view of the pond is nice the service is great!! 5stars to everything
The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable
They have drink lounge for free use with unlimited snacks; fruit juice, sake, beer, wine from
15:00pm-2:00am
Really recommend everyone that travels to nara city to stay at this hotel!!
The only downside of this hotel is the breakfast only provides japanese style food ; grill fish and onigiri
The onigiri is huge, grill fish and miso soup is cold
I wish they can make the onigiri smaller so
We can taste more flavors
And hope that they can provide a bakery corner for people who doesn’t like to eat fish
Otherwise we loved the hotel and want to go
Back again!!
Ps: there is not parking space so we need to park at the coin parking costs us 2400¥ /night
GGuest UserIf you are visiting Kashihara and need to stay near the train station, this is an excellent hotel choice.
Clean and modern room. Good breakfast. Convenient to restaurants.
We liked the hotel so much. We booked another Candeo property in Wakayama as a result.
ZZhi YiThis got to be one of the best rappers i had ever been to, (besides a few really high end resort in Bali). This resort service is impeccable. The kaiseki dinner is really delicious. The Garden is so well curated that it can compete with some of the shrine garden. And last but not least the onsen is truly relaxing and beautiful. One tip, is it place the herbal pack into the onsen early. It takes 6 hours for it to fully diffuse into the onsen.

Ssince2789I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was very comfortable and clean, and I really liked the pajamas supplied by the hotel. The lounge was really welcoming, and I liked that you could get hot or iced coffee at any time of day there. The tea selection was also extensive. I also really liked the public bath in the basement. After a day of walking in the winter, nothing beats a soak in the hot pool. Staff was always friendly and greeted me every time I came back or left the hotel. The location is also excellent, with lots of restaurants and cafes nearby, as well as the entrance to Nara Park!
