4-Star Hotels in Kampot Province, Cambodia

I got there quite late, and the chef was very nice to help me prepare a chicken rice dinner. The lobby felt cozy and warm, and breakfast was immaculate, the chef was nice enough to let me try both the egg Benedict and the avocado toast. I forgot to take pictures of the room but it was identical to the pictures listed on trip.com. The hotel has quite a French colonial aesthetic, their court yard and swimming pool are also very inviting.

I costed me $38 and I stayed here for a night. I came here as a solo traveler and booked a double room with balcony. There was a big pool on the first floor. The location of the hotel was decent, although the road to the hotel was pretty rocky and deserted, kind of in the middle of nowhere and I’m unsure of how safe it is during the night seeing as there’s not many lamp posts. The room is great and spacious. The bathroom was spacious and the room was nicely decorated. You can watch YouTube on the TV but like most hotels the smart TV doesn’t really work properly so Netflix didn’t work. The amenities they offered were enough, they provided a refrigerator, hair dryer and all the other necessities that a standard hotel would provided. Although the bathroom would flood due to how far the drain was from the shower head, you can just move the shower head closer to the drain so it would not flood the whole bathroom. Everything was clean. But there was a minor mosquito problem when I woke up in the morning. Bathroom door lock doesn’t really work properly, butyou just have to pull it a bit harder. The service was great, the staff were helpful and communicative. I got an avocado toast and milk coffee for brunch at the restaurant, it was good. I would come back here when I return to Kampot!

Excellent location and very clean rooms. We traveled as a family and found the service and facilities to be good. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a reliable and tidy place to stay.

Montagne Residence offers a comfortable stay with some standout features, especially for travelers who value space and style. The rooms are impressively large, giving plenty of space to relax, unpack, and feel at home rather than cramped like in many hotels. The overall design of the property is modern and clean, with a minimalist aesthetic that makes the environment feel fresh and well-maintained. One of the highlights is the swimming pool, which adds a nice touch for relaxing after a long day. The surrounding area complements the modern design of the residence, creating a pleasant atmosphere to unwind. However, there are a couple of drawbacks worth noting. The air conditioning can be quite weak, which may make the room less comfortable, especially in hot weather. Additionally, there tend to be quite a lot of mosquitoes around the property, which can be inconvenient if you're sensitive to bites or planning to spend time outdoors. Overall, Montagne Residence is a good option if you prioritize spacious rooms and modern design, but improvements in cooling and pest control would make the experience much better.

I absolutely loved my stay at this resort. The facilities are exceptional — from the stunning swimming pool and the spacious, flower-filled yard with fruit trees, to the well-equipped gym and charming restaurant that serves delicious foods whole day. The outdoor areas are thoughtfully arranged, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere throughout the property. What truly made our experience special was the hospitality of the staff. In particular, I’d like to mention one of staff Saly, who greeted us with warmth and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfectly arranged. He even connected us with a friendly and English-speaking Khmer tuk-tuk driver who took us on a fantastic private day tour to five major landmarks at a very reasonable price. They helped us to book tickets to Phnom Penh and to use their motorcycle to the downtown. I’ve uploaded plenty of photos to capture the beauty of this resort — it truly leaves a lasting impression.

Good pictures, good views, good service. but some area in room look dirty and in bad conditions I paid for 45$

Took a couple friends with me. We all loved the environment and ambiance. Being able to have private access to the beach was amazing and I'd go stay here again. It also looks like if you wanted to come for the day you can pay $5 (20,000 riel) per person for the day. Peaceful Retreat with Excellent Service Overall, Bali Villa Kampot is a great place to truly unwind and do nothing for the whole day. The environment is very peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing and escaping from the city. The only setback is the location. Google Maps and Grab do not link directly to the villa, and there are two listings named “Bali Villa Kampot” on the Grab app. If you select the wrong one, you may end up dropped off in a very remote area. It took me some time to figure this out. That said, the staff service is excellent—so warm and helpful that it quickly makes you forget about the transportation inconvenience. Their hospitality really stands out and enhances the overall experience.

Absolutely love this little gem of a hotel .. so much so, I extended my stay and would’ve stayed longer but my 30 days in Cambodia were drawing a close! The hotel is slightly out of town but I enjoyed the walk in and got a tuk tuk back at night which cost a couple of dollars. There is a free tuk tuk supplied by the hotel to get you into town if you didn’t want to walk. The room was spacious and very clean and comfortable. The shower was fabulous and the bed very comfy. I loved the pool area too .. comfy sunbeds and never a problem getting one! The staff are wonderful .. always friendly and helpful .. if I come back to Kampot, I would definitely love to return here for longer. Thank you!

The Safari Resort is a perfect place for a weekend away from the city. Its location at the border of Mlech lake surrounded by hills guarantees a wonderful setting. The bungalows are nicely designed and beautifully decorated and furnished. The bed is very comfy. The bathroom is spacious. Friendly welcome and friendly service. The food at the restaurant is tasty. Breakfast has Asian options. Kayaks and a boat trip are available. Pet friendly. It's a huge advantage when your dog is welcome! The location is slightly different from Google maps. Just continue a few 100 meters along the same little road. Certainly recommended.
