"Very nice property, unfortunately in an out-of-the-way and inconvenient location. There are hotels downtown for the same price. We didn't try the food because there's a very good vegan bar nearby."

Very Good
AAnonymous UserThe hotel overlooks Kandy, and every room has a balcony with a view. The restaurant boasts excellent views and reasonable prices. If you'd like to have dinner, you don't need to book a room with dinner included. It's recommended to order directly from the restaurant, as the included dinner is a four-course Western meal, which is too much to finish. Ordering directly offers more choices and prevents you from overeating.
GGuest UserThe best location close to the temple and to the show. The staff was very nice and help us with everything. The room is beautiful that let us feel the vibe of Sri Lanka. Recommend.
GGuest UserWe had a wonderful stay at the hotel in Sigiriya. The location is excellent, offering a stunning and direct view of the iconic Lion Rock, which made our experience even more special. Waking up to that view was truly unforgettable.
The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable, providing a relaxing environment after a day of exploring. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and always ready to assist with anything we needed, which made us feel very welcome.
Breakfast was another highlight, with a wide variety of options to choose from, catering to different tastes. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sigiriya.
TtorinessThis is a nice hotel in a great location in terms of seeing the key sights in the area we wanted to visit (walking distance to Sigiriya and Pidurangala rocks, and a short tuk tuk ride to a night loris walk). It is on a main road so there is a bit of noise from that if you have a room at the front of the hotel like we did - especially some loud music playing early in the morning. I recommend asking for a room as far away from the road as available. The room was more basic than I expected for the price but importantly it was big and clean. I think you are paying the price for a proper hotel in this location. The hotel pool is big and very clean, it is perfect for a dip to cool down - and very scenic, surrounded by lovely trees. We were a bit disappointed with the hotel restaurant menu which has nearly no vegetarian options on it, and similarly the breakfast buffet wasn’t worth it for us to purchase, but there are lots of other restaurants walking distance from the hotel to go to. The staff were helpful especially in putting us in touch with the loris night tour.
KKaileyd24Very clean and beautiful hotel located atop the mountain. We had a gorgeous view of Kandy! Food was delicious and service was excellent. The staff were very attentive to our needs. The hotel is about 10 min from city center not too far. Would recommend to anyone visiting Kandy!
DDuduaipaobuOn the outskirts of Kandy, the top of the mountain. The road up the mountain is steep and rugged, but after entering the hotel, it is small and exquisite, full of human touch, the restaurant overlooks the Kandy Valley, the scenery is very good.
It is worth mentioning the service attitude: We bring a child, and we add the extra cost of 15-20 knife in basically all hotels, but here we are exempted and a child breakfast is also given.
Especially to highlight is the evening buffet, originally wanted to order a single point, the manager repeatedly persuaded, in the mentality of not giving them trouble to barely order the self-help, the result found to be an unexpected surprise. Just... It's really quite meticulous and delicious. Especially after eating a few days of five-star unflattering buffet, it was absolutely a surprise here.
Don't say anything else, recommend
The photo has not been processed, the light is not very good, it is actually better than the photo
MMD JOBAYER HOSSAINMelheim Kandy Villas is a charming hillside retreat that blends comfort, nature, and warm hospitality beautifully. Nestled amidst lush greenery with sweeping views of the Kandy hills, it offers a peaceful escape from the bustle of the city while still being within a reasonable drive to key attractions.
The rooms are spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, with large windows or balconies that let you soak in the serene surroundings. The beds are comfortable, and the overall ambiance feels homely yet refined. While the property is generally well-maintained, a few minor maintenance touches could make it even better.
One of the highlights is the service — the staff are genuinely friendly, attentive, and eager to make your stay memorable. The breakfast is hearty and flavorful, often featuring fresh local produce, and dining on the terrace with a view is a treat in itself
LLillyMFirstly, as a solo traveller the prices are quite steep per room per night!! But hence everything else is far after visiting the Lion try I gave it a try. The place is beutiful but seemed the cleaning staff doesn’t refill bathroom soaps, towels and tissue quite often. Everyone including myself kept on asking the receptionist guy for stuff. My plug sockets didn’t work, I slept thinking my power bank and phone would be fully charged by the morning. The people are polite. Lots of noise at night and turns out it’s elephant 🐘 noise and dogs barking. So I missed a 2 good hours of sleep. They do try to fix the problems when you tell them about them.
ににゃろにゃろThe building was nice and the room was large and the staff was great.
The location is also convenient, 15 minutes drive from the station and 5 minutes walk from the bus terminal.
The shower is cold only with repeated hot water and water. The room also has no air conditioning, so it gets cold at night.
It is still good if you have a blanket and slippers.
