The room facilities were okay, but the ac definitely needs improvement. When we checked into the room, the fan was already on. After switching the fan off, we noticed that the air conditioner was not cooling the room properly and it felt quite warm. We ended up sleeping with only the fan running throughout the night, which was disappointing as we did not expect such an experience. 😓 We checked the air conditioner ourselves and confirmed that it was switched on and set to the correct temperature. We also noticed that the lobby air conditioning was extremely cold, so there seemed to be a significant difference compared to our room. We reported the issue to the front desk, but were informed that the room air conditioner was functioning well. Unfortunately, this was not our experience, and it affected our overall comfort during the stay.

The hotel is in a great location, and the room was clean and comfortable. Those are definitely the highlights of my stay. Unfortunately, the service and overall experience fell well below expectations. The biggest issue was the parking. My vehicle couldn’t fit into the mechanical parking system, so I was instructed to park by the roadside instead. Eventhough I wasn’t able to use the hotel’s parking system, I was still charged RM10. Later that evening, I decided to use the hotel’s premium parking, which costs RM70/day. I asked if the RM10 I had just paid could at least be deducted from the premium parking fee, but my request was declined. It didn’t seem fair considering I had no choice but to park outside because my car couldn’t fit into the mechanical parking. After contacting management by email, I was informed that the RM10 charge should never have been applied in the first place, as roadside parking was supposed to be complimentary for guests in my situation. This was apparently a mistake by the front desk. What was frustrating was that I had already explained to the front desk multiple times that my vehicle wasn’t even parked in the mechanical parking system, yet I was still asked to pay. The premium parking arrangement was also poorly managed. There were no staff available to assist with moving the cones, and on one occasion, my car registration wasn’t even on the parking list. Several times during my stay, I had to ask different staff where I was supposed to park because no one seemed to know. Housekeeping was another disappointment. I requested room cleaning at the front desk in the morning and specifically informed the staff that I had accidentally left the “Do Not Disturb” sign on my door. Despite this, housekeeping never came to service my room. To the hotel’s credit, management handled my complaint professionally. They refunded all of my parking charges and offered complimentary breakfast as a gesture of goodwill. However, while I appreciate management’s effort to make things right, the multiple service issues throughout my stay had already left a poor impression. Personally, I would not stay here again, especially if I’m driving. A good recovery is appreciated, but it doesn’t undo an experience that could have been avoided with better communication and service from the front desk.

Great location and views! The room was a bit dated though. The air conditioner's outdoor unit was right on the balcony, which was handy for drying clothes, but it made a bit of noise at night. There were no complimentary toothbrushes, but you could get two for free at the front desk. The phone was broken, and the towels were a brownish-red color, so it was hard to tell if they were clean or dirty.

The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a relaxing environment after a long day. One of the highlights of my stay was the stunning view of the river. Waking up to the scenic waterfront and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere truly enhanced the overall experience. The hotel’s location is also excellent, making it convenient to explore the nearby attractions along the Kuching waterfront. Overall, a great stay with comfortable rooms and a beautiful river view. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Kuching.

I had a nice stay here with my family. Booked family suite which is spacious and quiet with amazing view of Miri city. Breakfast was nice and tasted good. To highlight, the staffs were super helpful and kind to assist with our needs. The location is also strategic and convenient with good amenities. Otherwise, cleanliness could be improved as there are stains on the mattress, carpet and couch.

I had a pleasant one-night stay at Mega Hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable, with everything I needed for a good stay. The breakfast offered a good variety of choices and was enjoyable. The hotel is also conveniently located near Wireless Road, within walking distance to the area where you can find plenty of street food and local eateries. Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient stay. I would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is at the Sibu town centre thus very convenient to hunt for food and some shopping nearby. The night market is less than 10 mins walk away. Basement car park is available. It is considered second best Hotel in town though the design is outdated. Rooms are nice and cosy and clean. Staff are friendly and polite. Breakfast is acceptable and the environment is good. The only downside of this Hotel is the security where there is no access control in the lift (key card access to individual floor) and also no security guard at the overhead walkway linking the Hotel to the Shopping complex.

Raia Hotel & Convention Centre is big and faces the Kuching airport terminal. Pick-up is at Gate 3 of the airport arrival hall after WhatsApp the hotel. In five minutes, the hotel white van with the Raia Hotel logo came to pick me up. Upon entering the room and activating the power source, the television automatically shows Bloomberg News. I had tried to switch it off to sleep but the remote control did not function. I cannot see the airport runway from my room. It may be possible to see Air Borneo aircraft ascend to the sky at a corner in a twinkling of an eye. I slept for four hours thirty minutes and woke up after the prompt wake-up call to check-in for Air Borneo's flight to KLIA on 8 August 2026. Kindly note that the hotel is under renovation and enhancement works until 19 September 2026. It is not practical to stay in the room during and after breakfast and the room has no minibar. If one does not have a flight to catch in the morning, stay elsewhere in Kuching.

The location is still ok because there is a mall so if you want to eat or buy things you are still happy, but if you want to go to the waterfront, it takes 25 minutes, in front of the apartment there is also an everise, but yesterday we ordered the 2 bedroom one, 13th floor, the funny thing is that the wifi we use is the hotel wifi so it's a bit slow, there's no soap in the room, he said Sinad, it's just not available, finally he was told to deliver it, there wasn't even an iron, when I checked out I asked, he said he wanted to chat then it would be delivered hadeh🤧, even though when he arrived there was no response to the chat, it was annoying Plus, if you want to use the washing machine, you have to rent it for 35 RM a night👎, that should be the facility we get when we rent an apartment, I live in another apartment, even though the washing machine isn't in the room, it's kept downstairs, if we use it, it's free. Why do you have to pay for this? , 200 rm deposit, 37 rm in cash, they said it was clean, the apartment wasn't the same, don't know, other floors, other owners, the same or not
