Jordan Tower Hotel

Clean basic hotel but one that really cares about its clients. Although only a one star hotel our stay was extremely comfortable. The inclusive breakfast was really nice and we suggest you book a room with an ensuite. The free walking tour of downtown Amman taken by Orwha was a real eye-opener and he was a perfect guide. (you pay him what do you think it’s worth). The hotel is a stones throw from the Roman theatre and the ancient citadel on the hill. It was very noisy throughout the night however as it was Eid and everybody was out celebrating until the Sun came up.
Jabal Amman Hotel (Heritage House)

The last review I read said something about the bar next door being so loud. I can give the all-clear, it's closed. It was really totally quiet at night. OK, the muezzin can't be missed there either and every now and then a plane flies by surprisingly close. But at night we only heard dogs barking in the distance and were woken up by birdsong. Our room no. 32 was great. Very big, view of the Citadel Hill in one direction, view of the school courtyard on the other side, no one opposite. The bathroom was very neat. At breakfast we noticed that - after Corona and at the beginning of the Ukraine crisis - we were probably in a hotel that had gone through tough times. There was no buffet, what was served on a tray depended on the person on duty. Sometimes there was an egg, sometimes not, sometimes halva (very good!), then packaged pseudo-pastry. But breakfast is not that important, we think. The gentlemen at the reception were very accommodating. They helped us get a rental car, downloaded and printed out the PCR tests for us, and when we complained about a flickering light, it was replaced immediately. Everyone in Jordan is really friendly!

Khan Khediwe Hotel

This is a quaint little hotel that has its entrance directly from the main road on a busy street. The staff are extremely friendly, the check in process was smooth and the room was very good with different pillows to suit your tastes. The bathroom was also up to the mark, with all the usual amenities. The breakfast was a typical Arabic / continental spread, more than adequate to meet my needs. There was also a gym which I never got around to using.
Zaman Ya Zaman Boutique Hotel

I came to this hotel as part of a group trip. The staff are very friendly, especially the kitchen staff. WiFi is available in the reception area but this is different to the WiFi in your room which was very good. The TV is a smart TV with YouTube etc. I shared a twin room which was internal so the window is to the hall way. The room was clean with a little area to hang clothes. The bathroom has a huge shower, but remember water is an issue for Jordan. The best bit about the hotel is breakfast. There is a cold selection of fruit and cake served to your table and then the pre-ordered cooked breakfast. And off the breakfast area is a roof terrace with a view of the Roman Theatre
