Vienna Hotels with Bars

ALL Staff were absolutely incredible- polite, knowledgeable and couldn’t do anymore for us. Hotel brilliant, room fantastic and clean and all only 10 minutes from the Museum quarter. I stayed for 3 days, and the service mostly met my expectations. They helped with luggage, and the turndown service and daily room cleaning were all provided as they should be. The rooftop bar also offers a nice view. There's a gym and a pool downstairs too. Breakfast really depends on the main course you order; after a few days, I found the English breakfast and Eggs Benedict to be quite good. The room had high ceilings, and the view outside the window was also pleasant. Since it's right next to the City Park, it's very close to the station for the Airport Express (CAT) and places like the Musikverein (Golden Hall). From the hotel, you can reach Schönbrunn Palace, Belvedere Palace, or Hofburg Palace within 20 minutes by metro or tram. By the way, buying a city card that includes the airport pass is quite worthwhile (the hop-on hop-off bus didn't seem to have much purpose). Public transport is excellent; the metro and trams are very well-developed, and they run late, pretty much covering everything you'd need. The CAT goes directly from the airport to City Park in one stop, taking only 16 minutes.

I really enjoyed my stay at SO/Vienna. The room was spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed. The included minibar was great —well-stocked with high-quality snacks and drinks. I have the cathedral view room, enjoyed very minute. Most importantly, the staff were exceptional. Joebelle made both check-in and check-out seamless and genuinely pleasant. The gentleman who assisted with my luggage was equally impressive—warm, attentive, and professional. The level of hospitality throughout the hotel was outstanding. I highly recommend SO/Vienna. And of course, Das Loft offers one of the most breathtaking views of the city—an absolute highlight of the stay.

Average for a 5-star hotel. The breakfast and staff were excellent, but the housekeeping and maintenance were inefficient (they left us for two days with half of the bathroom sliding door blocked; it's impossible that housekeeping didn't see it and report it before making it available). Slippers and toiletries were missing. It's impossible to rate a 5-star hotel with 3-star service!

The hotel's location is fantastic, right next to the subway, light rail, and a bus terminal, and only a 30-minute drive from the city center. Schönbrunn Palace and the zoo are just across the street! The hotel grounds are beautiful, like a castle with its own garden. The room was quite spacious with a vintage decor, but the bed was too soft for a good night's sleep. Be aware that for environmental reasons, the hotel doesn't provide disposable toiletries or slippers. Also, towels are only replaced if you leave them on the floor.

Hotel Location: The hotel is situated on a side street off the main pedestrian thoroughfare in Vienna's city center, right in the small square with the fountain (as pictured). It's within walking distance of many attractions, for example, St. Stephen's Cathedral is only about a five-minute walk away. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby, and the metro station isn't far from the hotel. Hotel Room: The room was incredibly spacious and expansive. We arrived at the hotel early, and the front desk was very accommodating, allowing us to check in right away after confirming that a room was available.

This was my second time in Vienna in a month and a half. Knowing how convenient this hotel is and how much I enjoyed their breakfast from my first stay, I looked at almost no other hotel but booked to stay here. Because I didn't get enough of Vienna on the first visit, this time I stayed for the whole week. My room was facing the courtyard, offering beautiful views of the surroundings and no noise from the traffic (my previous room had a city view). Breakfast was as good as before. To my surprise, the Sri Lankan lady recognized me! That was a good feeling, knowing that someone remembered you. My check-in was done by Ayra (if I got her name right). She was lovely; I felt really welcomed by her, not only during check-in but at other times too. When she saw me, she greeted me and asked about my day. Out of the six nights' stay, I didn't get to dine in for breakfast on two mornings as I left early at 6 am to take a trip to Hallstatt and to Bratislava on another day. The staff were kind enough to suggest a takeaway breakfast set for me, which they provided on both days! The only thing I wished could have been better on this trip was how my room was made up while I was away. On two separate occasions, the bed didn't look like it was made up but rather just by folding the blanket and placing the pillows together. The bathroom too didn't feel like it was cleaned but just by replacing the towels. Nonetheless, I still like this hotel because of the comfort, the breakfast, and of course, the location, which is of utmost importance to me when I travel. It's barely a 5-minute walk to some of the most important places - Wien Hbf, Belvedere, U-Bahn line, and many more!

Receptionist was amazing and was able to check me in early after an overnight train. She also gave recommendations on what to do and where to eat etc which was very helpful, as I probably wouldn’t have asked and would have been stuck for food ideas. Very kind team working there, room was lovely. Only downside was it was a bit of a trek to the city centre, but it was just round the corner from the tram line. Area felt very safe.

The hotel is very centrally located in Vienna. The atmosphere and the staff are perfect. On a motorcycle trip through Europe, I passed through Vienna and found a hotel that offered great value for money. Since I was traveling solo, I kept things simple. The cleanliness was good, and the service was exceptionally friendly! The front desk staff spoke fluent English and, surprisingly, even quite a bit of Chinese, which made them incredibly welcoming! I wasn't aware the hotel had parking, so my motorcycle unfortunately got a ticket. The front desk was incredibly helpful and enthusiastically guided me on how to deal with it. A huge thank you to them! There's no air conditioning, but they provided a portable air cooler. It was a little noisy, but it definitely kept the room cool!
