We took refuge from the rain at a magical guesthouse at the foot of the Great Wall, and ended up so pampered by the butler, we didn't want to leave!
**Our Butler: An Invisible Doraemon**
* Before check-in, they called to confirm our dietary restrictions and itinerary. The moment our car stopped, they rushed out with an umbrella to help with our luggage.
* Their 'good morning' and 'good evening' service was incredibly attentive and warm. Every time we saw the lovely butler staff, they greeted us with a smile, making us feel utterly welcomed and at home. A big thumbs up!

* The entire guesthouse is incredibly stylish and offers a truly unique stay. The design of all areas – including the rooms, lobby, front desk, KTV room, and restaurant – is absolutely superb. It's genuinely a stunning guesthouse where every corner offers a picturesque view.

* Every window frames a living landscape painting: the Great Wall shrouded in morning mist with morning tea, and a starry, rainy night accompanied by evening soup.

We had the best time staying at the brickyard retreat! We stayed here during the Labour Day holiday so there were a few extra events on to enjoy such as crafting, a buffet and karaoke at a fire pit! We really enjoyed the buffet.
The hotel is beautiful and located really near to mutianyu scenic section of the Great wall. The hotel will also drive you to the Great wall entry area for free.
Breakfast was delicious and worth paying extra for, and the on-site Western and Vietnamese restaurants were also very tasty.
We had time to make use of the jacuzzi, gym, spa and nail salon during our stay!
We stayed in a mountain view king size room which was laid out very well and perfect for a couple. The view was outstanding.
Finally a special shout out to Stanley for helping us during our stay and for all the rest of the staff who were all really lovely and nothing was too much for them. We recommend it to anyone looking for a bit of luxury near China's amazing great wall!

Hotel 2mins from cablecar and slide way or 10 mins to cableway. Staff at hotel very kind friendly and helpful. Food at onsite restaurant superb. Beds in rooms excellent as was shower and space to store belongings. I definitely Riley recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit mutianyu Great Wall. Being close to the wall you don’t have to queue up and with an overnight stay you can take in the ambience of the evening when everyone has gone home. Loved 💗this trip.

The staff at the front desk were incredibly friendly, she even helped us carry our bags up to the room.
Our room was spacious and filled with natural light thanks to the large windows. Just note that the bathroom has an open layout, so you'll want to close all the blinds for privacy. The location is fantastic, right across the street from the Mutianyu entrance (with a small barrier in between).
Keep in mind, there are no elevators, so if you're traveling with a lot of luggage, you may need to carry it up a few flights of stairs.
There's also a great restaurant right next door. We tried the pork with chestnuts, which are locally sourced, and it was absolutely delicious.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel!

I suddenly had the idea of going to the outskirts of Beijing on the weekend, and I searched for a homestay online. I booked it because the environment seemed good. We first went to Pinggu to see the rape flowers and then came to Hongluo Temple in the afternoon. The environment of the homestay is nice. There is a tea area and reading area in the lobby. There are large floor-to-ceiling windows, which are good for daydreaming. The staff at the B&B were also very cute. They helped us adjust the TV and brought us sampled coffee. I feel like they are going to open a coffee shop business in the future. The price also includes a very exquisite breakfast. You can also order meals at noon and in the evening. The famous temple is in front of the B&B. I will go there again if I have the chance!

My stay at Yanqi Hotel completely exceeded my expectations! From the moment I stepped into the lobby, the staff were consistently warm and attentive. Check-in was efficient and seamless, and they even proactively provided tips on local attractions and details on using the hotel's facilities. Our room boasted a fantastic view; opening the window, we were treated to an expansive green landscape. The room was spotlessly clean, and the bedding was wonderfully soft and comfortable, ensuring a perfect night's sleep. Breakfast offered a diverse array of options, with both Chinese and Western dishes tasting fresh and authentic. What's more, the hotel's close proximity to the Yanqi Lake Scenic Area makes getting around incredibly convenient. It's ideal for both family trips and relaxing getaways. We will absolutely choose this hotel again on our next visit to the area!

The accommodation experience at Beijing Zhuxi Holiday Villa is very comfortable. The environment of the villa is quiet and the green coverage rate is high, giving people a feeling of being away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The room decoration is simple and generous, the facilities are complete, and the bed is comfortable, so people can enjoy a full rest as soon as they lie down. In addition, the food provided by the villa is also very delicious, the dishes are fresh, and the tastes are diverse, which can meet the taste needs of different tourists. In general, Beijing Zhuxi Holiday Villa is a good place to relax and enjoy nature. I would highly recommend it and hope to have the opportunity to visit again.

The small courtyard is very clean and beautiful, there are swing chairs and umbrellas, the kitchen is spacious and bright, there are simple barbecues and cookers, and there is a terrace on the top, which is particularly pleasant.
The room is also very clean and tidy, the hall is a living room, and it is equipped with an automatic mahjong table. Personally feel that if a family or friends are traveling, it is simply too cool to pack such a small courtyard.
After walking one or two hundred meters out of the small courtyard, the children should have a good time.
Finally, I have to thank the boss very much. I encountered some small problems when I checked in. The boss patiently helped solve them. Great praise!

The eldest brother is very enthusiastic and takes care of everything, so that we have a feeling of being at home. The whole homestay is very elegant and clean. There are many places for adults and children in the yard, sandpits, toys, slides, swings, and play areas for parents to release their hands. If we come a few months early, children can also go swimming. We went to the vegetable field, dug sweet potatoes, peanuts, the big brother dug us two big pockets, and also gave us chestnuts, and melon, the taste is very good, sweet potatoes don't look at the ground just dug out, it's quite sweet. We have prepared a skewers and stew pot. After that, we found that someone was roasting whole lamb. We will also prepare one next time we go. It is too fragrant. The night view boss arranged a light show, and punched in. The photo effect was not optimistic about the naked eye, and the real experience was great. The housing is also very comfortable and clean. Generally speaking, there is no dissatisfaction. Special thanks.

NNancyThis hotel is excellent! The location was amazing because it was just a 10-minute walk to the entrance of the Great Wall so you don't even need to take the shuttle bus at all!
The room we stayed in was very big and spacious. The best thing about this room was the electronic mahjong table!! It was so much fun playing without having to spend time setting the tiles.
We decided to stay at this hotel for 1 night and go to the great wall early in the morning @7:30 before it gets too crowded. Oh boy, did we make the right choice. We went through the entrance without having to wait. Walking on great wall with only few people was wonderful and we were able to take many great photos without having tons of people in the background.
Overall we had a great experience at this hotel.

CChiaraLocation of the ideal structure to access a small tourist area of the wall, within a mountain village surrounded by green and nature. The room was a little small but functional, with a Turkish bathroom and a balcony outside. In the courtyard there are tables and chairs: it is a great place to relax. The structure is managed by a couple of gentlemen. Although they don't speak English, they helped us book the back taxi because the fingers were not available, so we could not lose the train.
The lady is ready to cook very good typical dishes.
