I seldom stay in homestays, especially at this price, which is really cheap. I booked this place mainly because I saw it online. It has convenient transportation, is clean and sanitary, and the owner is enthusiastic, so I decided to give it a try. Let me first talk about what I think is good: there is a guardrail at the entrance of the village, so foreign cars cannot enter. You can park your car in the parking lot next to it and walk into the village. We arrived at night and called the merchant. The housekeeper drove to pick us up. Although the distance was not far, it was very heartwarming. 2. It may be the off-season, not many people check in. The housekeeper gave us the quietest room as requested. It was big and clean. 3. I went to have breakfast at 9 o'clock in the morning, but there was no one. The boss looked around but couldn't find the chef. He refunded me 20 breakfast fee. 4. After returning from the Great Wall, I waited at the entrance of the village. The housekeeper brought me the free luggage. 5. The boss and the housekeeper are really enthusiastic and can give suggestions on various routes. Let me talk about what I think is not good: the bathroom facilities are rather simple, the basin is peeling, there is no place to hang towels and supplies, which is not very convenient. 2. The shampoo and conditioner are expired, and have been expired for a long time. 3. The kettle has a lot of scale and looks a bit dirty. I usually drink cold water and don’t use a kettle to boil water. Because my child has a cold and needs to make medicine, I suggest you bring a small kettle yourself. 5. The bathroom door may be suitable in its original design, but if you get up in the middle of the night, the noise is too loud and it is not suitable for light sleepers.

The room was clean and tidy, with complete facilities and excellent service. It was very comfortable to stay in. There were cute little puppies in the yard, which really lifted my spirits. It's especially suitable for weekend getaways and holiday relaxation. Ordering food was convenient, and the nearby restaurants had great flavors. It's also easy to get to by car. This will definitely be my go-to spot for weekend relaxation in the future!

I checked into the hotel with one goal in mind: to spend the night and then head to the Great Wall early in the morning, before breakfast. The transfer from reception to my room, a trolley (pictured in the first photo), wasn't great; it was terribly bumpy, so I could have walked. The room was clean, the bathroom door was solid wood, like a sliding wardrobe, and the toilet was simply amazing, even with some buttons, like the Japanese ones, which is generally the norm in China, where it's customary to do one's business ”on the squats.” It was very respectable.

The room looks exactly like the pictures, but I felt the privacy was lacking. Even though it's a private courtyard, the room window faces outside the courtyard, so we couldn't open the curtains. Other courtyards didn't seem to have this issue though; maybe it's because our room was on the very edge, which made the experience just so-so. The hot tub was great, and the kids had a lot of fun. However, breakfast was absolutely terrible. Out of all the B&Bs and hotels I've stayed in, this was the worst. There was barely anything to eat, and nothing was replenished after 9 AM. Everything was pre-made and extremely hard, and the congee barely tasted of rice.

This property is awesome.  Just one village before Badaling Great Wall, so the village is quiet and peaceful.  The property staff is very welcoming and friendly.  The rooms are amazing, so large for the price.  The downstairs has a modern toilet, large comfortable bed, projector TV, rainfall shower, and a refrigerator.  The upstairs has a great view and a nice place to have breakfast or play games at night.  The outside has a swing, great view of the Great Wall, beautiful flowers, and a private hot tub!  The afternoon tea was delightful, and the breakfast is western.  There is a pool, but it was too cold to swim in the Autumn.  70 minutes from Beijing, 15 minutes from Badaling.  Bring your champagne and go visit for the weekend.  

I had an excellent experience staying at this hotel. The service was absolutely perfect from the moment we arrived until check out. The staff were very friendly, professional, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything we needed. Their hospitality made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. The room was perfect very clean, spacious, comfortable, and well maintained. Everything was organized beautifully, and the atmosphere was relaxing. The cleanliness, facilities, and overall environment exceeded our expectations. One of the best advantages of this hotel is its convenient location. There are shuttle buses near the hotel with easy access to the Great Wall, which made our trip much easier and stress free. Transportation was very convenient for tourists and foreigners. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone, especially foreigners looking for a comfortable, safe, and welcoming place to stay. If you want excellent service, perfect rooms, and easy travel access, this hotel is definitely a great choice. Thank you to the wonderful staff for making our stay memorable!

A hidden gem for families with kids! They have a children's tent, picture books, and special toiletries for little ones, plus a small playground – my child absolutely loved it. The room was spacious and safe, and the breakfast offered a good variety with porridge, eggs, and more. The staff were friendly and patient, which was a real relief for us parents. The facilities were thoughtfully designed, and everything was clean. The surrounding area is also great for family activities. Everyone in my family was happy. Highly recommend this place!

We highly recommend this hotel near Badaling for anyone visiting the Great Wall. The hotel is modern and convenient, with impressive AI features (Xiao Du system) that control lights, curtains, music,and the TV—quite advanced for a 3-4 star hotel. Most importantly, we want to commend Mr Chang Chao Hui (常朝辉)for his outstanding service. After we were overcharged by a taxi from the airport, Mr Chang(常朝辉) helped us report the incident to the taxi company and ensured we received a partial refund. His dedication and care made a big difference to our experience. Thank you to Mr Chang(常朝辉)for his excellent hospitality.

I highly recommend this courtyard B&B at the foot of the Badaling Great Wall! The overall experience was perfect. It has an authentic traditional courtyard vibe, and the location is excellent, making it super convenient for hiking the Great Wall. The room facilities are complete, new, and easy to use, and the hygiene is impeccable; the entire place was spotlessly clean, and the bedding was comfortable and tidy. The owner is incredibly warm and thoughtful, always ready to answer questions, and even proactively offered tips for visiting the Great Wall. The entire experience was fantastic! There's even a slide in the courtyard, which my child absolutely loved. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Badaling!

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the Great Wall entrance. A taxi ride cost only 8.5 [currency unit, e.g., yuan]. On the way back, I decided to walk and enjoy the roadside scenery and the crisp northern air, which was lovely. The room was clean, and the restaurant downstairs offered room service. The air conditioning and heating worked perfectly, ensuring a comfortable night's sleep. The front desk staff were very warm, helpful, and patient. My stay truly exceeded expectations.
