Had my service dog with me moving from Virginia to Wyoming and knowing this was my last night before getting to my destination, I parked in the parking lot in front of the hotel. After gathering my things and my dog I walked in. I instantly knew from the older lady's crinkled up nose and face that my dog was going to be an issue. I stated my name to the younger gal that the older lady was training. The older lady told her that they was going to have to change my room because of my service dog. She also looked at me and told me that they didn't have any DOG rooms available. I was shocked that she would say that to me knowing I had a reservation. What am I supposed to do? It was hot outside, I was tired from driving and pulling a uhaul all day, and was literally on my fourth evening of my travels. I told the lady that I could tell by her face when I walked in that there was going to be a problem with my dog and that I thought that was very sad. I had mentioned that the three other places I stayed during my travels didn't make me feel like she just made me feel. I could see the horror on the younger gals face knowing that her trainer was saying this to me.
They ended up keeping me in my original room but I felt so uneasy about the situation but was too exhausted to go somewhere else. I was frustrated that I had left my credit card at the front desk. The younger gal brought it to me and apologized for the older lady's treatment. I told her she shouldn't be the 1 apologizing.
