Stayed here 4 nights. Rooms are modern, very clean and well maintained. Breakfast is excellent. Location is very good, excellent view of Table Mountain. It is about a half hour walk to downtown. Restaurants within a 10-15 minute walk. Uber is excellent and the way to transport around the Cape Town area.. Host arranged excellent shuttle transportation from airport to accommodation with another couple for 300 ZAR per couple. Be very careful. *********** for this accommodation said no deposit required but a small temporary deposit may be taken to confirm the credit card and then the temporary deposit would be refunded within a few days. The reality is the host took 100% payment as the deposit. When I complained, her solution was to give me a total refund and cancel the booking. Needed the room so left it. In the room there was tea, coffee, etc and a small bottle of wine on the counter top above the fridge. I opened the wine and and sampled it. Another second small bottle of the wine was placed in the same spot a couple days later, next to the opened first bottle. I did not open that second bottle. I did finish the first bottle. I have always found, in my wide world travels, that all consumables on the counter are complimentary and those in the fridge below are usually chargeable. Not so in this place. When I was about to leave the host presented a charge of 170 ZAR for the wine. I told her I only drank the first bottle and showed her the second bottle of wine that was unopened. She told me to return the unopened second bottle to the room which I did. She then said there was still the charge of 170 ZAR for the bottle I drank. Rather than make a scene in front of the other guests present, I payed the 170 ZAR and left. The first small bottle of wine was obviously not complimentary. So be very careful on this account and on the taking of the deposit when budgeting for this accommodation.
