We visited the restaurant of this Parador and it was an awesome experience: the food was beautiful, the service excellent and the atmosphere was great. We did not stay at the Parador (just passing through Santo Domingo) but the facility looked extremely impressive and full of character. All Paradores in Spain are great places!

In summer holidays planned as a path to Castilla to rest, visit cathedrals and know the local gastronomy, together with other more fun activities, it was a good thing to choose National Paradores as accommodation for the part In Santo Domingo de la Calzada, the treatment has been of a superior exquisiteness and the framework, whether incomparable both of the city and of both parades, highlights a greater enjoyment of the stay and accommodation in them. I am enchanted and in love, with a willingness to repeat some day.

Easy to find and secure parking for 9.5 euro was a good start. The receptionist was welcoming and friendly with good covid procedures in evidence. Our room was very nice, modern, comfortable, quiet and spotlessly clean. The restaurant looked ok but we had pre-booked one in town just a short walk away. Plenty to choose from. We would be happy to stay here again if passing by.

This hotel is located in Haro's main beautiful, charming square, Plaza de la Paz, where there are enough dining options (the ”Herradura” and all its bars -San Martín Street + Santo Tomás street- is just 1 minute away), plus the tourist information office. The ”Barrio de la Estación”, where the majority of wineries are, is also within walking distance. Talking about food, it is true that this hotel doesn't offer breakfast because they don't have any facilities for it. That's why -in our opinion-, it is a 3-star hotel instead of a 4-star one. However, the room and the ensuite bathroom were super modern, spacious, comfortable, quiet, clean, pleasant, tastefully decorated and well-equipped (TV, mini-fridge, safe, good wifi and even a nice dressing space between the bedroom and the bathroom). Our room didn't have a view of the square though, but this hotel and our stay were the best of our trip around La Rioja and Euskadi.

It is a new, clean, cosy, well-located apartment, with all the luxury details, etc. I was so happy that it seemed to be at home. Quality-price does not have competition. It is a dressed apartment jewel in the heart of Haro. Very recommended for couples.
