I’m surprised to see so many bad reviews for this hotel, it must have improved a lot in recent times. I found this hotel lovely and clean, staff were friendly and helpful. There is a great pool which goes all the way from 0.8m deep to 3.8 metres deep so good for everyone, and it even has a little diving board. There is a pool bar but unfortunately it was not open at the time of my visit, perhaps it will reopen in high summer. The restaurant is on the 8th floor with an amazing view of the sea to look out on while you have your free buffet breakfast. There could be a few extra amenities in the room like a kettle or a fridge but that wasn’t a major issue for me. The location is also great because it’s so close to a beautiful beach, it only takes a couple of minutes to walk there. There’s also plenty of restaurants and cafes near by. Overall a really good stay.

We really enjoyed our 10 day stay at Riviera Hotel Carcavelos. The staff were excellent, professional and couteous. Reception, the waiting staff in the mornings, hotel cleaners etc were all so helpful and obliging and we really enjoyed our time at the St Anthony's festival buffet by the pool. The bedrooms are large and comfortable, and as is the case with the entire hotel, kept clean to a high standard. Recommended for good value for money.

Clean and very new room but if your idea is like ours and is looking for a pet friendly hotel I didn't like anything that puts that “can be charged**** supplements” you send a message to the hotel saying you're wearing two caniches toy, which I didn't have No answer, and after going up to the room and check in, tell me you need to talk to me, you charge me €20 per night with these two dogs, I understand they charge a supplement for them, but be clear in Booking.com and put your real price, because it is not the same to carry two 3kg toy canches each which do not release hair for their race, as a chowchow like that I saw in the reception, or a German pastor who if you have to have an extra cleaning for the hair topic, would not return for this topic, since at the end the price came out to me as a hotel in the centre of Lisbon with the same features.

Excellent hotel . We stayed for 3 nights, and we loved it. They upgraded our room to an ocean view, and the room was stunning. The staff were very friendly . The swimming pool and spa are really good, just mind you need to book it in advance otherwise it could get overcrowded so there is nothing to worry about as everything is well organised. It's a 2 minutes walk from estoril train station and a 30 mims walk to cascais .

There is a lot to say about this hostel but I'm not going to say just bad things because I stayed for two months It's a spacious place with a swimming pool near a train station, a wonderful beach for surfing and there are a lot of shops around The reception maintenance team is renewed quite often but generally they do their job well, they are people who come from afar for the most part, they are looking for recognition and a better quality of life. now we are going to talk about the big problems of this place caused by poor management of a surely negligent owner and one or more incompetent and irresponsible Manager During my stay here I saw five assaults, mostly on girls who work for the hostel. I never saw the owner or the Manager come to see anything or try to comfort his team, I had to intervene myself on aggressions inside the hostel to make the attackers leave we had to leave the place about ten days because of bedbug's On our return we had no compensation for this and the manager asked us to pay again the tourist tax that we had already paid, we should never have returned To newcomers, guests, or workers you can now have your own opinion before coming to these places think carefully many people left very quickly because they did not come to Europe to relive the same scenes of violence as in their country of origin. We just stayed 4 nights at this hotel and were pleased with the comfort and efficiency from the hotel staff. Especially want to compliment Albert in the breakfast room, he was ever so helpful and efficient helping me with organising milk for my child every morning. Thank you Albert, very friendly. The rooms are comfortable, apart from the pillows are not great and the soap dish has holes at the bottom so water seeps through all over the sink surface and had a couple of things to mention that the bottled water should be complimentary at least once per day and a kettle in the room for tea and coffee would be a great bonus! Coffee doesn’t taste too good at breakfast but cannot complain too much as it was great to have a free breakfast with a good selection of food. (Tomato ketchup missing at the buffet too but if you ask they will serve you some) On the whole the hotel has free breakfast and parking and is in a good location for travelling to sintra, cascáis and Lisbon, very convenient.

First the basics - good beds and a pleasant, quiet room and a good nights sleep (until a tour group checked out early in the morning). Nice bathroom, good housekeeping, and pleasant seating in the private outside balcony seating area. Front desk check in and out was easy. Inviting pool and patio areas. The quirky - both old and new areas of the hotel (we stayed in the new), and having to walk through the bar area and past the dining area to get to our room. Trying to find the way to our room was confusing at first since you don't often walk through a bar to find your room, but was really not a problem after that. The breakfast offering was not really anything special. The bar was enjoyable and bar service was good. Very short walk to the train station and ******.
