We stayed here for one night on our trip to the Midwest. After a full day of driving, we were very happy to find this quiet and clean hotel. We were able to sleep a bit late in the morning and did not hear a lot of noise from other guests, even though the parking lot was pretty full the night before. It is plain, dated, but clean. We would stay here again.

We visit family in Clearfield a week or two each year in Clearfield, and stay in their local hotels. We've been visiting for at least 20 years, and have enjoyed the newer hotels as they open, or update their facilities. I must say - the newest version of the Holiday Inn Express is a pleasant surprise. When arriving after dark, I was really pleased to see the excellent lighting all over the large new parking lot. The spacious two story breakfast room was inviting and comfortable. There was even an outside shaded terrace with dining tables and lounge furniture. The rooms were spacious and nicely equipped with plenty of outlets, and good lighting for reading in bed or working at the desk. And everything appeared to be Fresh and Clean. Yes - this hotel has become our new favorite in Clearfield. I'm afraid the Hampton Inn down the street will be losing some of their regular patrons to the Holiday Inn Express.

When I came to the state college, the hotels in the small town were full, so I ran so far, but the service was better than that of the state college hotel. There was breakfast, there was a Wal-Mart supermarket next to it, and there was a Chinese restaurant at the intersection, but I didn’t try it.
