Premier Inn Doncaster Central East

The review reflects what we paid for the hotel (£47). Willing to let things slide when paying a certain price point. Hotel is by no way perfect, but for the money it did the job. No cooling facility, only heating. Window did open but wouldn’t lock as it was broke / out of alignment. Visible wear and tear in the room.

We were met with a warm and friendly welcome. The hotel room was clean and tidy, and the bed as you'd expect from these hotels, very comfortable. Excellent service from the staff and Stephanie went the extra mile by drawing us a map to get to the racecourse on foot.

I particularly want to commend the receptionist Steph. She was able to help with a WiFi issue initially and her response when I reported a couple of individuals trying to break into a vehicle in the car park, was on the money. She did not hesitate in calling the police, was very helpful to them despite being busy with her other duties and was supportive to the people affected by the attempted theft. Well done Steph!

The staff are lovely at this Premier Inn, very friendly and helpful. There is no air conditioning in this hotel but a large fan is provided. However we found that the room was still stuffy. We started with the window open but had to close it during the night due to the 'boy racers ' revving their engines in the car park. Not sure we will bother returning.

Awful experience, I would highly recommend the newer premier inn as this was very poor. It’s a very old building and it’s worse than a motel.

One star for Stephanie as she was very polite and accommodating. However, we were given a family room, hallway had a smell of cigarettes, the room had a vile smell of sewage, the walls had marks, very dull, wallpaper peeling off and it wasn’t pleasant at all. Having done a 3.5 hours journey in the car and after work, we were extremely shattered. I went to reception to ask Stephanie to change our room which she did and mentioned, this is a very old building. The second room, the floor creaked extremely loud, when you put the bathroom light on, the level of sound can wake anyone up, you can hear everyone walking pass, wall stains, the curtains fell off and my husband put it back together. Anyway, we were all so tired that we thought leave it. Premier Inn you need to refurb this building, guests still pay for a level of service and this stay was by far the worse. Very disappointed and personally, I wouldn’t recommend.

After a long tiresome drive, I came to reception to a very cheerful, bubbly, helpful young lady. She introduced her self as Stef and had been the best , most amazing Premier Inn staff that I have met in my many stays at this institution around the country. She was very informative of the surrounding restaurants and gave some sound advice on the merits of being in Doncaster. Thank you Stef

Stephanie was very helpful and attentive. She was thoughtful and helped me with condiments which were needed for my evening tea. She was interested in knowing how my stay has been for the last 3 days. I liked our interaction. Wanted to let Stephanie, Jackie and all the staff know I recognised their help to make me comfortable. .
