The hotel is situated in a wonderful area of the city. Generally, the common areas are well-maintained, and the service offered is of a high standard. The rooms are large and spacious. In our case, the view of the sea and Haikou's skyline was marvelous. The breakfast was good but not at the level of what we experienced at the Intercontinental in Beijing. As for areas of improvement, I would suggest adding smart TVs and hiring more staff proficient in English.

Amazing hotel, beautiful pool and plentiful buffet breakfast. The rooms were large, clean and well appointed. The only issue was the soundproofing in the rooms was not great. Everything else was excellent.

Best place to stay for both business & leisure. Beaches, sunset point markets all nearby. Happening place. Staff very professional & friendly. Ms Vivian (the Manger) very Professional & customer care experienced person. On the top Sky Bar impressive. Met the Manager Mr Charles (he knows lot about India & he can speak little Hindi). Wow.. must visit here.

Check in by Jacky (hopefully name is correct), was smooth and he was attentive offering us to book restaurant for our dinner. That's was a nice warm welcome. The breakfast was great many options from western to Chinese served in buffet and open kitchen. The service from the restaurant staff can be better, however its enough for some one like us that not looking to have top top service. The staff are working very hard from kitchen, restaurant service, housekeeping and i believed the back of the house that trying very hard to keep the maintenance and cleanliness. Please have some signage or reminder to the guest do not waste the foods at restaurants. I truly understand is hard to communicate to our guest do not waste the foods. Many of the guest waste the foods at breakfast and dinner buffet restaurants. Once again thank you for the management and th team of Hualux Hotel! keep it up and all the best.. PS: I'm training my son to appreciate house keeping attendance by swift the linen and shared some good gesture. Regards, BW

When I checked in, I found that the room I booked was different from the picture. After I reported it, the customer service manager immediately contacted me and changed the room. It was very efficient. This is a good comment. The hotel was very considerate and asked twice if I was satisfied and if I had any requirements. They were all very good. The swimming pool was very good and the children liked it very much. It was also in the city, very convenient. The breakfast was good. Five-star level!

The photos were taken by me in the hotel. Because it was too hot, I basically didn't go out. I just stayed in the hotel with the air conditioner. The hotel service was excellent and there were many varieties of breakfast. Fu Caiyu at the front desk gave us meticulous help and extended our check-out time considering our actual situation. I am especially grateful to Xiaofu, who is very humane and truly reflects the ancient Chinese saying: "Rely on your parents at home and rely on your friends when you go out." I experienced a different Dragon Boat Festival.

In terms of food/local culture/service/sanitation/room settings, Huacai InterContinental really exceeded my expectations and is very cost-effective. 👍 Breakfast: rich and complete, excellent dining environment, indoor and outdoor garden options, outdoor close to the swimming pool; Guest room: large room area, spacious bathroom wet area, great bathing experience! After closing the balcony door, the room is very quiet, the air conditioner is almost silent (this is very important 😅), and I slept very well. The price of the sea view room is very affordable and cost-effective; Executive Lounge: The environment is very good with a sea view balcony, the service is also very good, and the lady is very gentle. ☺️ Check-in experience: I was very lucky to meet a professional front desk (Director Vivian) who provided me with a very good room check-in experience (in short, just find her when booking a room, trust me)! Hygiene: The sanitation level of the guest room is also nothing to say. I usually don’t wear shoes in the hotel, so I care about whether the floor and stone are clean. I hesitated for about a week when choosing a hotel in Haikou on Ctrip, and finally chose InterContinental after considering various factors. The location is near the Century Bridge on Haidian Island, but you will have to take a detour to get there after getting off the bridge. The hotel is close to the sea. After getting off the car, the welcoming staff at the door came over very enthusiastically to help open the car door and take the luggage. Haikou is very hot. After entering the hotel, the air-conditioning in the lobby is cool and the view is wide. The front desk lady Vivian Zhang Wanyu called me one day in advance to greet and ask about the arrival time and needs, and made very full arrangements. The hotel room is very large, the hardware and software facilities are very new and good, the air conditioning is very powerful, the mattress is a little soft, and every service staff of the hotel greeted very enthusiastically. During the stay at the hotel, the front desk lady also called to inquire about the satisfaction. I will choose to stay here next time I come to Haikou!
